TF Cornerstone

I’ve been here for three years and it’s been all around blissful. Quiet, super clean, well maintained with attentive staff. The doorman are friendly and awesome. I will forever miss my gem of a studio in this building and the friends I made here. This building is still brand spanking new!
I wanted to write a review because I’ve been looking up so called luxury buildings in Jersey City and seeing all these nightmare reviews of overcrowding, noise issues, children in the gym or turds in swimming pools and it makes me realize how important and valuable it is to live in a building with like minded… yes, I’m going to say it, yuppies. ;)

I have lived in 505 for 3 years. The size of the apartment is great, the cleaningness of the apartment is five stars.
but the communication with the building manager is all but professional. I have complained years about the central air and heating units. The units do not cool the apartment and in the winter the units make loud crackling noises.
When I speak to the building manager he says «my units make the same noise, nothing can be done.»
The level of customer service from TF cornerstone is very very low. Any time I need to communicate with any members of TF cornerstone staff no one has a professional communication skills.
Maybe my standards are set high because my prior residents was Related Management. Now that is a luxury rental company. From the door men to the building manager, everyone is super nice very professional and do all they can to find solutions to your problem.
Instead of going to TF Cornerstone, I say go to Related Management, If you want real luxury, real class. that is where you need to be.

Have lived here since September. Had not experienced an issue until a few months ago when a pair of suit pants I had altered disappeared. The cleaners at which I had the pants altered at, produced a receipt showing that one of the doormen had signed for the delivery at the building. The building manager Virgil Ivanus, while cordial at first in trying to respond to this issue, has since refused to answer any of my numerous voicemails and e-​mails. I would be fine with the building refusing to compensate me for the lost pants, but the lack of professionalism in dealing with this has given me a dour opinion of the building and its management.

We lived at 505 W. 37^th St for a few months before my job took me out of Manhattan. I will forever miss the views (see photos) of midtown and the Hudson!
Building: 5 Stars — It’s new, shiny, and well manicured. The floors are always polished, the glass is clean, and it truly feels like a high end hotel.
Apartment: 5 Stars — Our apartment was fantastic with wonderful views, a nice deck, and high end appliances. The window insulation made for a quiet unit and low utility bills.
Door Staff: 2 Stars — These young guys could really not care too much more about their job. Coming from another building that had middle-​aged established doormen, this part was extremely lacking.
Amenities: 4 Stars — Each tower has it’s own «club» that offers amazing views. Unfortunately everything is quite worn, the pool table is scuffed, the pool cues were missing tips, and everything seemed a bit run down for being so new. With that said, the roof deck is wonderful and offers wonderful nearly 360 views. The laundry is great with a ton of machines and a few large capacity washers and dryers. The free bike room was also a great plus. Finally, the lounge area on the main floor is gorgeous.
Maintenance Staff: 5 Stars — Whenever anything went wrong (once!) they were on it. In addition, they helped me hang a few paintings and a pan rack. Top notch and a great price. Virgil is fantastic.
Management: 5 Stars — Some of the friendliest most helpful people I have ever met. Nenad went above and beyond on many occasions.
Neighborhood: 2 Stars — It’s definitely still «up and coming». Travel north 3 blocks and you’re back in civilization. There are some definitely sleazy areas just around the corner and the trash on the street is pathetic. Bloomberg clearly doesn’t drive by THIS part of NYC.
Parking: 4 Stars — Great parking staff although a bit pricey. All I know is that I never had to worry about my vehicle!

I have lived here for 2 years.
Great staff, especially the bldg mgr Virgil. He is strict about the rules, but keeps the building in perfect order at all times.
The building itself is beautiful and pet friendly. The apartments are spacious with decent appliances and have amazing views (even the studios).
Bummed out that you can’t have a glass of wine on the roof anymore. (drunk frat boy throws bottle off roof… fun over). But it is still a great place to watch the sun set in the summer.
Walls are medium thickness, fine unless you live next to someone who plays music at all hours at top volume… which is not a rarity since this building draws aforementioned tenants. But you will never hear anyone above or below you… ever.
Prices are reasonable compared to the other rental high-​rises in the area.

The gym is sick and disgusting. There is a blood stain on the floor that has been there since i moved in… 10 months ago. The roof deck is strictly regulated so if you plan on bringing any friends here be sure to be ready to get interrogated. One day my key fob for the gym (yes you need a key fob to get into the gym) stopped functioning out of nowhere. When i asked one of the staff members if they would mind letting me in they said that I would not be aloud into the gym until monday when i could ask a somebody in the office to fix it. It was Saturday. I could go on all day about life in a TF Cornerstone «Prison State.» My biggest complaint is that the people who run this place are borderline mean.

Moved in 1÷1÷12 so far so good. Neighborhood isn’t quite the financial district (moved uptown) as you have to walk 1 block to get to good food instead of sharing the block with good food. Large grocery store is a jaunt (but who doesn’t order anyway?).

Wow! Is the immediate reaction when you walk in the building and throughout your stay. The ammenities are amazing, the doorman are very friendly, finishes are great, views are extrodinary, you will impress your friends, the doorman actually get to know you and the porters are super helpful.
I have had my toliet clog a couple of times and with in minutes someone is up to fix it. I feel bad never having bought a plunger but these guys are great!
Taxi’s are also plentiful. There is a gas station right across the street and there are always plenty of cabs shooting up 10^th Ave.
You are not renting in this building if you want a pure «Location» building which is why I have to take 1 star off. As I’ve watched this area for the past few years it has done a night and day change for the better and still has a little ways to go. The building does have its own sense of community. Additionally, if you like going for runs it is easy enough to shoot over to the West Side Highway which has a beautiful running path.
If you do move in and send your dry cleaning out I would stay away from the one inside the building if you are in a hurry. The word «Rush» and «Same Day» is not in their vocabulary. Fine if you are not a last minute person but good to know if you are in a pinch.
Overall, anyone moving in will have an amazing experience in the building.

After living here for two months, it was a mistake — my advice, just stay away.
This is supposed to be a luxury building — but its just new, thats it.
–In a luxury building you would have new A/​C units that are temperature controlled and energy efficient. This building has neither, so expect your electric bill to be 150+ per person.
–Its a brand new building, but yet every time you turn on a faucet, rust will come out and make you think you live in a 100 year old building.
–Kitcken sink doesn’t drain correctly, which leaves a horrible smell in your dish washer.
–Definately don’t have 24/​hr access to the roof top and terrace like the leasing office promises you.
–There are TONS of empty units in the building, so don’t believe the leasing office’s BS.
–Occasionally the building will rent out the roof for a commercial event. When this happens you’ll need to plan an extra 20 min into your day just to use the elevator.
–The elevators get stuck on busy days, and if your lucky enough to be stuck when Virgil (head maintenace guy) is on site you won’t have to wait 30+ min. But, he won’t let you out of the elevator even if some people are having panic attacks. Just hope you make it down the lobby.
