During the last hour of a trade show at the Javits Center I saw the most beautiful fully furnished life-​sized dollhouse. It would be perfect for my daughter’s upcoming sixth birthday and the exhibitor offered it to me for a significantly reduced price. I looked at the dollhouse, and then looked at the line of exhibitors with big boxes trying to hail taxis and waiting for hours for an Über van to arrive. All of this and it was pouring rain outside. I looked at the dollhouse once more and couldn’t help to think of the smile it would bring to my daughter’s face. Then it came to me… Valet Anywhere! Shortly after scheduling my car’s drop off at the Javits Center, a Valet Anywhere driver arrived opened the back of my SUV and helped me load in the dollhouse. Not a drop of rain on my daughter’s dollhouse. I was able to bring the dollhouse home safe and sound and schedule a pick up for my car to be brought back to the garage. When my daughter sees the dollhouse on her sixth birthday that smile I owe to Valet Anywhere.

Excellent customer service today (all 3 times I called, haha!) I am new to the service and had several questions. Everyone was friendly and extremely helpful as I navigated my way through the first experience with Valet Anywhere, an absolutely brilliant concept. My Valet was great, he was already waiting for me both times today, picking up and dropping off. He made my day seamless and worry-​free with texting his whereabouts several times. A spectacular idea, very well executed.

Outstanding service. Best price I could find in the city, and they bring your car right to your door! All the drivers I have dealt with have been prompt and extremely courteous; they have all texted me in advance to let me know their time and status (they were even a bit early a couple of times, and they were sure to let me know). The app works extremely well. I give them the highest rating!

I live on the UWS and have been a VA customer for the past 6 months. My neighborhood is scarce on parking garages, so spots cost $ 600 and are a solid 10 minute walk from my home. VA has become the perfect replacement. I use my car about 6 times per month and they are almost always running early for drop offs and pick ups. The valets are great, personable and courteous and usually give a call or text when in route. I’ve experienced a few early hiccups around Memorial Day, but they have figured it all out by Labor Day. They were involved in a minor traffic accident with my car (hit from behind and not their fault) and they could not have handled the situation any better from keeping me informed about how they were managing a repair and coordinating a visit with an adjuster. The app works very well. I highly recommend Valet Anywhere.

I found out their service when I was searching for parking for my boss’s car.
I almost brought the groupon voucher, luckily before I did that, I called in to ask some questions and they offer a special rate.
Their customer service team were helpful and generous to offer me a promo code to try their service for the 1^st month.
I help my boss manage the booking for her car, there was a little issue with the scheduling time. However, you can always call in or email to request when they have issue or running some maintenance. I find that helpful. :) But I do hope that they can fix this ultimately, since the whole point is to use relied on app only, right?
As for the lead time, they are usually on time through out the weekday. For weekend, I say avoid Sunday night? I scheduled once for my boss, and the Valet arrived 15 mins late which is acceptable but I think
I didn’t refer to my friend directly, instead I posted my promo code on social media which actually got my boss $ 100 off her second month bill.
So, I suggest doing that when you sign up.
As for start up or something new. I think they arent that bad.
Oh, also. their delight team are good at follow up with issues too.

What a shame. Good concept terrible execution. Takes forever for cars to show up. Often times drivers have bad odor that’s left in your car. Not to mention I purchased one months service via groupon and was subsequently charged for 3 months after. Nightmare of a company with terrible customer service. Will likely close down soon as everyone i know who used their services was unhappy. Do not recommend.

I got what I thought was a really great deal for parking, when my parents were coming to town for a stay for over two weeks. I bought a Living Social voucher for ONE MONTH of parking with up to 10 round-​trip drop-​off/​pickups. After purchasing the voucher as a gift to my father & following the instructions on it to download the app & register their vehicle, I ran into the FIRST problem — it told me my address was not within the service area & wouldn’t let me schedule the pickup… so I called Living Social & told them what was going on, to which they relied that was NOT what the deal said & gave me a direct phone number to V/​A. I called a couple times & finally got someone & was told the app was malfunctioning & scheduled the pickup. After that, everything SEEMED to go fine, my parents’ car was stored for the 2+ weeks they were here. When they scheduled the car’s return, my Dad told them they were leaving & wouldn’t need parking or service any longer & thought that was all that needed to be done. We had registered the account with my debit card, since there were no further charges expected, & today I opened my bank statement to find I had been charged $ 399 for a month of service. I called & spoke to them & was told it is a subscription service & EVEN THOUGH IT IS NOT CLEARLY STATED THAT IT IS AUTOMATICALLY RENEWING, it is MY responsibility to realize that & cancel it ahead of time… I calmly explained that they KNEW my dad had been gone since September & wouldn’t be back & asked WHERE on their app it stated any of this or how it had to be canceled (in writing, etc)…I never got an answer except that the best that could be done is a prorated refund for the remainder of October, which will take 5 – 10 business days. I then asked for a confirmation # & was told by Matt that I would receive it via email in a «couple minutes». I have now waited over an hour AND followed up with an email & have NOT yet received any response. If I had $ 400 to throw away, I would because my parents park in my building’s garage! Now I have to worry about paying for my daughter’s school costs because of this. I wish I hadn’t been so nicely promoting this service to all my work colleagues & hope no one else experiences my poor luck… hopefully this is not their «norm» because I originally thought it was a really great concept & was proud to be a cheerleader for them. I guess maybe just stay away if you are not interested in a long term situation.
I sincerely hope I receive at least the promised prorated refund, so I can change my opinion & at least bump this review up a couple stars.
Update: I did finally receive a confirmation for the refund, so I bumped the rating up a bit. I really hope they make it more clear what their requirements are for discontinuing service, so others aren’t surprised by this & lose money in the future.

Don’t depend on them if you need your car at a specific time. Twice in the past month they’ve been late dropping off and I’ve been late to work. What’s the use in saving $ 100 a month on a garage if you can’t get your car on time?

Great concept and well executed until they changed their policies and destroyed any goodwill that they had created. Sad to see another company sell out once they complete a fundraise and sacrifice long term customers for short term profits.
Their new plans take away any cost advantage for anyone south of midtown. And to not inform customers until 1 – 2 weeks before rolling out the new plan is just bad business.
I would avoid this service or be very mindful that they can (and likely will) change their service to maximize profits with minimal notice.

I had been using Valet Anywhere for 6 months and was super satisfied until they canceled my service with only a weeks notice. Now I’m back to looking at 600 $ a month for parking in Chelsea.

While not as purist the Wilkins Self service Valet Parking system where you park your own car this service bears consideration. If it catches on then Wilkins will have to re examine their parking model, where you actually park you own car as opposed to here where you call your own valet. I had a nice deal on a monthly parking rate for a garage in my neighborhood in Yorkville – that is, until they told me suddenly that they were raising my monthly rate by $ 150 to bring it up to market rate (over $ 500). I called a bunch of other garages in the area, but this is the going rate for the neighborhood. I can’t afford to pay that much, so had to look for another option.
I can’t remember now how I stumbled upon Valet Anywhere while Googling online, but decided to give them a try. Their explanation for how they operated made sense, the price was right, and the reviews were great. Bottom line: I couldn’t be happier with them, and now want to spread the word so that they get more and more business, to ensure that they are in NYC for a long time to come.
The valets are all lovely, polite, professional young men who show up on time, are great at communication (one valet called me from the garage when picking up my car to report a noise that I myself have noticed in the last month or so), and are meticulous about following protocol (using the «code word», taking photos of the car at beginning and end of their drive, etc.) They are patient if I get stuck in traffic and am a bit late in dropping off the car. The app is easy and works great. Even last minute schedule changes (e.g. if I will be dropping car off at 10:30 instead of 10) are easily accommodated.
I only feel compelled to write reviews on Unilocal when a business has made a big impression, and this review is no different. Hopefully it will help out the next person who gets screwed by their parking garage!

Loving these guys! From Andy to Jesus, stellar company… and disrupting the expensive parking industry! BYE 800 a month parking. Ridic… and they come right to your door. Very professional and quick… Would recommend them to anyone…

I only used the monthly service temporarily while I was in between places (new apt has garage) and overall thought it was a great service. I didn’t give it a 5 star as there were a couple times when the drop offs were late but overall most of the drivers were incredibly prompt and reliable. They were often early and waiting for me and were very patient if I ran into traffic on the way home. The only other tough part for me was that they drive the car pretty far away (20 miles) to park it so gas and mileage on the car can go up. I would however definitely recommend. It’s a cool service that will probably continue to evolve and improve. They are pretty on top of things despite only being around for less than a year.

PROS:
* No longer have to carry my heavy bags to parking garage blocks away from my apt
* Includes 10 monthly drop offs/​pick ups (perfect if you generally only use your car on weekends)
* Easy to schedule via app
* Professional & responsive staff
CON:
* Requires 2 hour advance notice for drop off/​pick ups (you just need to plan ahead!)
* Will raise rate significantly on customers at the last minute, or park car at a garage 40+ minutes away

I’ve been using the valet anywhere vault (long term parking) service since they launched in September 2014 and I’ve been very happy with it. I typically only drive our car on weekends with the occasional mid week business trip. I initially looked into the usual garages in my neighborhood, but couldn’t find anything nearby that wasn’t extremely expensive. Trying to come up with alternatives I considered just keeping the car on the street and using a Task Rabbit or local doorman to move the car twice a week, but it just seemed like too much hassle to find the right person and be sure they were reliable in moving the car each week. So I ultimately decided to try Valet Anywhere and I’ve not been disappointed. The monthly rate is almost half of what I’d be paying at some of the nearby garages and I get to just pick up and drop off the car right in front of my apartment.
Here is how it works: when you want to park your car you open the app and place the pin where you want the valet to meet you to take the car. At the designated
meeting time you get a text message telling you that your valet has arrived and what the hand off code is, for added security the name and photo of your valet is also shown in the app, although in reality I never really use either, but do text the valet sometimes just to coordinate pickups and drop offs more easily. The valet then takes the car to a parking garage until you need it back. The process is essentially the same to schedule a valet to return your car to you… placing a pin on a map and setting a time for the valet to meet you with your car. They operate throughout most of midtown and also service the area right around your home, so it doesn’t work everywhere, but it works out great for me since I am typically just using the car on weekends, and have them come drop the car in front of my apartment, but sometimes I will have them pick up or deliver the car to my office in midtown which saves me a subway trip home.
The basic rate includes a set amount of round trips back and forth to the garage per month, with a reasonable fee for any additional trips, but I’ve never used more than half my allotted trips so far. If you use your car more than 2 – 3 times a week, not only may the cost creep up, but all the scheduling pick ups and drop offs may be a hassle, but if you just get the car out for use over the weekend, or more occasionally it works out very well.
The only downside is that scheduling pickups and drop offs requires 2 hrs advanced notice, which may not work for some, and the valets can still sometimes be late, so you need to leave a little buffer time if you’re trying to make a business meeting or event… but it’s no worse than what you’d probably deal with getting your car out of a traditional monthly parking garage. There have been more than a few times where I’ve wanted to be rid of the car on shorter notice, but I usually just end up parking it on the street and leaving the keys with our doorman and just text the valet with instructions and they’ve never had a problem.
Not that I have a particularly nice car that I worry much about, but they’re insured, and only park in covered and attended garages. They’ve also begun offering basic car services like car washes, filling it with gas and inspections, and small repairs etc which are things I am happy to have them deal with, all for a reasonable fee over the cost of the services.
The valets are always nice and accommodating and they’ve made some big improvements to the app in the past few months. They also have an hourly parking service which I tried to use recently when I went to an event at the Barclays Center, but sadly they said that they don’t cover Brooklyn yet.
Overall I’ve been very happy and hope they do well, I’d definitely recommend their long term parking as an alternative to pricey city garages, particularly if you only need to use your car on weekends… with the added bonus of getting a jump start on a trip to the beach in the summer and not needing to deal with ice and snow removal in the winter it makes having a car in the city so much easier!

They have been on time every time, and are polite. The iPhone application works well. The customer service by phone or by email is quick and to the point. No problems. If you are tired of doing the Manhattan garage thing where they keep jacking up the price every few months, then this is an absolutely superior option. In essence Valet Anywhere is a lost-​cost high-​quality provider.

I just started using Valet Anywhere, and found them through «SpotHero»; I need monthly parking, valet (pick up and drop off) wherever you are; security, double insurance (while in transit and while car is parked) all covered, friendly and polite customer service, this seems to have it all; I was even told that for a small fee of $ 7, they could fuel up your car before you get it back;, and charge the card that you give them. They also get a pic of the car before and after it enters/​leaves the garages, they are currently using QuikPark. What’s in store for the future they told me: Car wash, inspections, possibilities are endless.
It’s Very wise to establish this much needed service, I hope it remains as clean and clear and successful as the founding fathers have imagined it to be.
I hope it puts other parking garages out of business, especially the ones that charge $ 500 /​month for someone that hardly uses a 10 year old car.
So the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was that it’s still too good to believe ! Today is day 1 of my first month; The tip (optional but you really want to give the driver something) a photo of the valet guy, his name and a password that pops up on your phone takes away the anxiety of handing your car over to a stranger.

I moved into the UES last Nov and was looking for a deal on monthly parking. I found these guys for a decent monthly price and after talking to Jake on the phone on how it works (they pickup and drop off your car from your apt to their garage) I decided to try it out for a month.
The service has been great so far! I must admit it’s really convenient not having to walk or take a cab/​subway to get to your car in the cold frigid weather. Some of my friends actually take a cab to get to their garage… why? when you can have it driven to your home for you!
Their app had some minor issues with scheduling the valet but they came out with a new iOS app that fixed these issues.
Best of all, these guys actually care about you. I badly needed my car inspected (by law) and the company offered to take it in for me for FREE! A parking company that actually gives an F!
I must admit it’s an ingenious idea and no other garage has this type of valet service in the city. I can’t recommend these guys enough!
