Description

Specialties

Our coffee haus is more than just coffee, we have the best waffles on the planet and we believe in giving back. Prior to opening our owner underwent severe health and life threatening issues and in a downed economy notice kids weren’t finding jobs. His prayer was if he survived he would help those in need. So he mortgaged his house and created a unique coffee and waffle haus dedicated to employing kids and helping those in the community in need. If you look to the right when you enter you will see the community organizations he has given to. In addition, our unique uses of protein and in drinks and waffles as well as healthy options has brought us the attention of many of the gyms in town, trainers, as well as invites to body building competitions and booths at Muscle Mania next to the likes of GNC and other health supplement companies. Ask about our Monster coffee as companies such as Starbucks are following our innovations. Know this, you can purchase a sugar laden drink at any of our competitors, but when you purchases from us we are not only training our youth as to healthy options, we are employing them, educating them and helping society one cup at a time.

History

Established in 2013.

Perkies was started after Travis Wilson (the owner) in a 3 month period endured both liver and kidney failure following radiation to stop the chemical effects of a medicine used for obliterating a thyroid issue prior to 3 pacemaker surgeries in a week to relocated the device after the discovery of a internal staph infection located above the heart. While in the hospital his prayer was if he survived he would become a better player in the community. He noticed kids were struggling in the economy to find jobs so he mortgaged his house and created a coffee and waffle haus to get kids work experience and to teach them business. He has since worked with many charities, churches, athletic teams, and other organizations to help raise money and awareness to their cause. Since its inception he has not take a penny in profit and has given back in all ways possible. He has a focus on nutrition and will gladly give you healthy alternatives to what other coffee shops provide.
