Kevin Lee and his talented team are professional and friendly artists with an eye for lighting and composition. They do not just take photographs– they use their work to tell a story that captures
the genuine tone and emotion in a scene. We searched for a wedding photographer for weeks — I know just enough about photography to be particular– but when I saw Kevin’s portfolio, I knew we had finally found someone with the technical skills and vision who could do the job. And, equally important to us, Kevin and his team are reliable and personable — the kind of people you enjoy interacting with the day of your wedding.
Our event spanned a range of outdoor and indoor locations which required an uncommon degree of artistic versatility — backlit aspen trees, bright reflective lakes with mountain vistas, campfires with the Milky Way overhead, intimate candlelit lodges– and Kevin managed to capture all of them perfectly. In fact, he was able to bring out the natural beauty of the setting so well that I would have never guessed that it was his first time in the Eastern Sierras! Beyond the setting, Kevin and his team were also able to convey the spirit of our ceremony and personality of our friends and family. Kevin even helped us avoid normal photograph pitfalls… for example, my husband is notorious for closing his eyes during photos. To my great surprise, I couldn’t find a single photo in the thousands Kevin and his team took with this problem. They must have an amazing sense of timing! The team also used a variety of interesting angles and techniques to offer new perspectives of the event without becoming too abstract. The result was a creative and complete set of memories from our wedding.
In addition to their technical gifts, Kevin and his team are likable and gracious. For example, they are not phased by inevitable delays (we were running late to our engagement photo shoot and they were incredibly kind and understanding), which is a blessing on a day as stressful as a wedding. They were willing to honor requests for specific photos, and generously took a few pictures at our rehearsal dinner even though we had invited them just as guests.
In the end, our pictures showed incredible attention and thought — the team clearly noticed the details we had put into the decorations and flowers, and were able to catch key (unannounced) moments throughout the evening (father-​daughter dance, for example). We couldn’t be more pleased with the results — Kevin and his team did a phenomenal job turning out polished, well-​framed photos. One of my relatives even commented that the pictures looked like they were taken out of a magazine– and she’s right. We would definitely recommend him for wedding in Southern California — the Eastern Sierras — and beyond!

I’m sure anyone reading this review probably already knows that there are SOOOO many different wedding photographers out there. I soon realized that once I started planning my wedding and I seriously did not know who to hire. It was an overwhelming process. Luckily, my now husband found Kevin Lee Studio on Unilocal.
After reading all of the lovely reviews, we contacted Kevin Lee. We originally opted to use one of his apprentices, Ian, because our wedding was going to be extremely small and we had a tight budget. We met Ian at the studio and he showed us portfolios and we were instantly impressed with the amazing editing and great pictures he and everyone else at Kevin Lee Studio took. We put down a deposit that same day.
A few weeks before our wedding, Kevin Lee contacted us and let us know that Ian had a personal emergency and would not be able to shoot our wedding. However, Kevin Lee said he would shoot our wedding for the same price that we hired Ian for. We were ecstatic and impressed by his kind generosity. He could have very well have sent another apprentice on par with Ian and we would have been just as happy. Yet, he volunteered to take less money to shoot our wedding. Amazing.
Kevin Lee arrived right on time at the hotel where we were getting ready. He brought a crew of 4 along with him and they even threw in a videographer for free because they were testing out a new style of video. No complaints here.
My hair and makeup took a lot longer than expected so Kevin Lee and his crew were shooting photos of us getting ready and never once complained at the fact that we were running behind schedule. Finally, 3 hours later, we all headed over the video to take pictures for the last 1.5 hours of sunlight.
I was so nervous about taking pictures because I am a bit camera shy and have never been professionally photographed before. Kevin Lee made the whole process feel so natural and had us laughing the entire time. After we the ceremony, Kevin Lee and his crew stayed for almost all of the reception shooting photos of my friends and family having a great time.
We were so excited to get our pictures because we knew they were going to be amazing and once we got them, we were not disappointed. I was actually surprised at how natural we both looked and how great the editing was. His creativity is one of a kind.
Kevin Lee’s attention to detail is really one you don’t find often. I highly recommend this studio to anyone looking to hire a photographer for any special event, especially a wedding.

This review is really long overdue. Simply put, Kevin and his team were amazing. I was in the process of launching my practice and needed to have updated linkedin photos done. I browsed the portfolios of all the professional photographers in the area on Unilocal,and I liked Kevin’s stylistic approach the best. I work in the alternative energy industry, I wanted my portraits to look modern yet professional. Most of the other photographers specialize in corporate photos in the Pasadena area have an more old fashioned sense of aesthetics.
When I called Kevin, he was fast to understand my needs, he asked a lot of good questions to pinpoint what I’m after and on top of that he gave a very reasonable hourly rate quote! By the time I showed up in his studio, the white backdrop and lighting were already set up and ready to go! We wasted no time at all! I showed a few photos on pinterest and kevin coached me to pose with the appropriate posture and body language with ease! Everyone in the studio was friendly and helpful through the process. Within the 1.5 hours I was there, Kevin and his team were highly efficient and effective. We were able to fit in 2 outfit changes and shoot both indoor and outdoor photos all within one session.
To make sure we got all the photos we needed and I would be happy with the final outcome, Kevin showed the photos real time on his large monitor as we were taking them indoors and on the camera screen when we shot outdoors. I discovered that Kevin and his team even went the distance to shoot test shots of his assistants in the «Linkedin» backdrop prior to my arrival so that I could maximize the utilization of time in studio.
The turn-​around for delivery was both very smooth and fast. Within 24 hours Kevin delivered retouched versions of the indoor photos we agreed on, and the rest of the outdoor photos followed the next day. I would heartily recommend Kevin and his team to friends and colleagues any time.

We got married a few months ago and love love love the photos we have received so far. Kevin Lee and his team were very professional, discreet, kind, and great at what they do. Lighting was key for our wedding as our church is somewhat dark inside. I’m looking forward to seeing the rest of our wedding photos! I would highly recommend Kevin Lee photography!

But I just had a bad experience with you. You made the grimace face when I pointed out anything, and I felt like not worth commenting anything bad. I know you work hard and want to satisfy the clients, and I wanted to exchange the best work with best situation/​relationship with you. How could I tell you anything if you can’t even accept 3 stars? Do you see how frustrating it is to tell you anything negative? As I was nearing my wedding date, I didn’t want any awkward situation with you, and I have been biting my tongue. You couldn’t make me happy, even when I made all the compliments, and I wonder how would it have been if I had said anything negative. I am glad that I am not battling with you before my wedding.
You’ve been asking me to delete this post for so many times, and I do not have intention to do so. In fact, you have been spreading things about me, and had your friend call my father-​in-​law to personally attack me. If you tried to ruin my newly wedded family, I’m sorry. It didn’t work.

We hired Dai Kim from Kevin Lee studio for our engagement pictures and wedding shots. I am super impressed by the service and quality of pictures, especially at such a great price. For the engagement pictures, Dai and Kevin spent 5 hours with us taking pictures in San Juan Capistrano. On the wedding day, a team of 4 was with us (led by Dai) for a good 12 hours. The pictures are artistic yet capture the emotions and excitement of the time. I am extremely happy with the quality of their art and their professionalism and would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Best photographers in Southern California! I am an event planner. My cousin decided to get married and we had only three months to plan the wedding. I was very lucky to find them on such short notice. They were extremely professional. And watching the shots they were getting, I know we will have amazing photos!
Depending on the size of the party, they seem to come in a team of at least three photographers, each as professional and artistic as the other. I also noticed that the bride and groom, as well as any of the family members, did not get frustrated with them. They were very efficient and the quality of their work is outstanding.
I would use them for any event anytime.

Photo is the ultimate art where time stands still. Moments captured tell a story and they are only as good as the artist that captures these precious moments. Once that moment is gone it is lost forever. So, when picking a wedding photographer I only wanted the best. My closest friend is actually a great photographer who does wonders with pictures but alas he needed to be my groomsman so the search started. That friend linked me to Kevin Lee and told me, «this photographer stands out without a doubt and his pictures just teem with life.» I checked the pictures then had to contact Mr. Lee. Let’s just say my wedding pictures turned out excellent and my most precious moments have been captured by this artist.

We got married a little over a month ago and much of the day’s success can be attributed to Kevin Lee photography. Mr. Lee and his staff exhibit the upmost professionalism, kindness, and consideration anyone could ask for. Honestly, you will be hard pressed to find a better photographer in Southern California, and arguably in the entire state.
1) Engagement picture session — Mr. Lee and his staff shot our engagement pictures in five different locations throughout southern California. He was patient, never expressed an ounce of annoyance, and was fun to work with. Additionally, he used the engagement shoot to teach us several poses that he would later use on our wedding day. This was incredibly helpful as we were foreign to the world of photography. His coaching and advice helped us feel more secure on our big day.
2) Wedding — Our big day entailed a separate photo shoot at 4 different locations due to time constraints at our venues 1) Hotel 2) Pasadena City Hall (first look pictures) 3) Wedding Church 4) Reception Venue. Our schedule, to say the least, was complicated and stressful. To top that, we had a bridal party of 24 individuals and ~300 guests. With that many locations, that many people, that many details, we knew this was going to be a tough feat to accomplish. However, Mr. Lee and his staff captured our love moments at all locations flawlessly. Mr. Lee and his staff were actually early to all locations. They were able to round up our massive bridal party and enormous family and capture our big day without a hiccup. Mr. Lee and his staff simply personify professionalism.
3) Work Product — Our engagement & wedding pictures have been lauded by our family and friends as being priceless, the best ever, amazing, and astonishing. Honestly words don’t do his work justice. You can view his website and view his work for yourself.

We did a photo shoot for my family for the holidays. I am so pleased with his service. He was prompt, friendly, professional and honest. Kevin, like a lot of photographers did not rush, count minutes or image count. he wanted to make sure he got great shots and that we were happy. The shoot also involved my five month old son and he was so great with him– very patient! Though my son didnt smile much (bad day), he was able to capture a lot of moments and the few times he did smile. I just sent my christmas cards out and I am so pleased with the images we chose for them.
I would highly recommend Kevin for your family shots. Price is definitely reasonable.

I can’t say enough about Kevin and his team. I was indecisive about so much during the wedding process, but I decided on Angel DV as soon as I saw their work. I was mesmerized by the quality of photos on their website as well as their special moments section. I had to book them!
We made the right choice. Kevin is talented, hardworking, insightful, gracious, and creative. He provides value and results for a collection of amazing pictures. He worked with us the entire day to recreate some of the things we love to do and captured «us» in his photos.
Kevin is organized, efficient, and very experienced. He had a timeline with a plan on how to get the most shots with different locations. He coached us on poses and looks. He had drinks and snacks to keep us going throughout the day.
We were very impressed by the quality of our engagement pictures. We had some shots that were very unique and artistic. Other times he captured great pictures of us just being ourselves. Included in our package was a huge wooden pictures frame with several handpicked pictures that we placed near the church entrance.
On our wedding day, I was suprised to see him at the beauty salon early in the morning. He didn’t charge for taking pictures of me getting ready. They turned out really well and added to the storyline of our day. His team of professional photographers arrived at the church ready to go.
Kevin had already e-​mailed me an itinerary so that we could get the most out of that day. He took pictures of both sides of our bridal party getting ready. We took pictures with our family. They took pictures of my fiancé seeing me for the first time. They captured the moments that led right up to me walking down the aisle with my father. The ceremony and reception were well guided by their team. I knew they were capturing everything special that I wanted to remember. I already saw a sample of pictures from our wedding and am very pleased with the results.
We also got the slideshow where he took our pictures growing up and created a storyline. Everyone enjoyed the slideshow thanks to the careful editing from Kevin. Most of our guests were in pictures that were included in our slideshow eliciting memories from everyone.
Beyond his professional approach, attitude and execution of the entire process. What made it more special was his consideration to make us feel comfortable and at ease. Each aspect of Angel DV sums up to a total of words beyond satisfaction and gratitude. He couldn’t have made things more special for such an important occasion in my life.

Kevin was the Oldest Sister’s wedding photographer and yes, it helped that she is beautiful but he and the team did such a great job with her wedding photographs that the Husband and I wanted to use him as well.
We opted for the Memory Journey (a special kind of engagement shoot where you take him to a few locations that are meaningful to your relationship instead of just going to beautiful spots) as well because we have such a long relationship history and from the beginning, Kevin was fantastic. The Oldest Sister got married two years ago and since then, it’s obvious to even my untrained eyes that Kevin’s eyes and hands have gotten much better.
The best thing about Kevin is his unfettered enthusiasm for you and your significant other. He is truly excited and happy to be part of your special moments and this is expressed through unflagging energy. He and his team (but particularly Kevin) go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable, happy and beautiful.
The entire team, including the squad of apprentices that Kevin brings with him on the Day Of as well as the apprentice that he may have during the Memory Journey, are great. I had a disastrous Day Of wedding dress fiasco and our pre-​wedding shoot was delayed over an hour and a half but the photographers were all cheerful and encouraging and made me feel a bit more relaxed.
Kevin will make you laugh with his cheerful exhortations to «fall in love!» and «look happy!» and «look at her!» and «look over there!» and «close your eyes and feel each other!» and sometimes you might feel awkward but Kevin always makes it easier.
If you go visit Kevin at his office try to find street parking. There’s a lot of free parking during the weekdays but on the weekends bring a lot of quarters. There currently is not a garage where clients can park.

Words cannot express how wonderful Kevin Lee and his team has been to us. We first found them through a mutual contact and fell in love with his work and enthusiasm for photography immediately. From the beginning, he always made great efforts to meet all of our needs and went above and beyond our expectations (and worked tirelessly in the blazing California summer heat) on my wedding day to capture the most important moments of our lives.
Kevin and his team has the uncanny quality of making you feel (and my entire bridal party/​family) very relaxed and comfortable while he works his magic. Choosing Kevin Lee Studio for our wedding and engagement photography was probably one of the best decisions we ever made during our wedding planning. My wife and I planned our own wedding. Because of that, we interviewed and discussed with many different vendors, ranging from photographers, chair covers, flowers, to party gifts. Thinking about some decisions we had to make, some we would reconsider, but hiring Kevin Lee Studio as our photographers is one of the best ones we made.
