Richard and Hong are consummate professionals. Their work is exceptional and they are extremely polite. My fiancé and I had a great experience with them. They do have some great ideas for places to shoot depending on what you are looking for. We gave them ideas on the type of vibe we were going for and they were able to capture it in our photos. We do suggest to give them ample time to work on your engagement photos for your save the dates as It took a little longer than expected to receive the final product. Other than that, the work is beautiful. Can’t wait to work with them on our wedding!

I would say Richard is very professional on photo shooting. We have done our engagement session on 05/​27/​2016, which is a Friday afternoon. I received my first beautiful touch up photo in the morning of 05/​28/​2016! How an efficient and hard working photographer! We didn’t know what we were doing when we posted in front of the camera, but Richard asked us to act normally and catch all precious moment.
I struggled a lot to choose my wedding photographer. I met with several photographers, but I chose Richard because they have pretty good pictures and package price is reasonable. Wedding is expensive and we looked for best quality within our budget. I was very impressive by Richard’s pictures when I saw pictures of my friend’s wedding on Facebook.
Hong is very patient and nice person to work with. She answer all my concerns very fast. I am looking forward to seeing them on my wedding day! I will post review again after my wedding.

This is not a review for photography services; it is only based on communication and contract issues.
We were excited and pleased to see their good quality photos online and met with Richard and Hong. At the meeting, Richard seemed overly confident to the point of slightly cocky. We were willing to tolerate that behavior because of his quality and years of experience.
However, upon receipt of the contract, we noticed that it was much more complicated than other photographers’ contracts. In an attempt to continue working with Richard, we asked for a number of edits to the contract. At that point, Richard dismissed us as clients.
From our perspective, we know we that were asking a lot of requirements and being slightly demanding. However, once you get your hands on the contract, you will understand why we were concerned. We had issues with several provisions that only catered to them and allowed them to take advantage of us (i.e. travel expenses, reimbursement, cancellations, and dispute resolution).
In summary, during the meeting with Richard and Hong, they seemed very accommodating and flexible. Unfortunately, the contract and communication after that point was very rigid and unaccommodating.
We were hoping they would reasonably understand our concerns and continue working with us, but instead they acted in their best interests.
I would strongly recommend not signing such a one-​sided contract.

Richard is the best wedding photographer ever!!! He is a nice and patient and hard working professional photographer. He met all of our needs before, during, and after our wedding. To get the perfect shot Richard went beyond expectations. He got on his stomach, knees, sometimes on one leg leaning in an awkward position to get the best shot. He knows all the get locations to take wonderful and beautiful picture shots. He knows his angles and lighting which is very important. Not once did I have any doubt he knew what he was doing. He does not just take one shot, he takes multiple shots to make sure he gets it right. He sent me many pictures to verify what we liked and didn’t like. He made this whole process really comfortable. Everybody at our wedding complimented our wedding and engagement pictures.
We interviewed many photographers and we were really happy we chose Richard. The other photographers had low quality work. The attitudes of the other photographers were not to our liking. I hated dealing with rude photographers especially when we are paying money. Richard has a very very very wonderful attitude and he was well worth it.
I highly recommend Richard as your wedding photographer. You will not be disappointed. We were lucky to have Richard on our side.

Mr. Kim is the best wedding photographer in Los Angeles. Recently, my fiancé and I had a great time working with him on casual and formal shooting. During two full long days, he was very patient, easy to work with, passionate on every shooting and tried to make us comfortable in whole time. If you want the best photographer in LA then Studio Luxe is your go to. Studio Luxe was my brother’s photographer when he got married 4 years ago and i was amazed by the pictures. Not only was
I their when his engagement photos were being taken but the location and vision for each shot blew my mind. So when it was time to find a photographer for my big day and other photos needed, I had to call Studio Luxe. My photos came out amazing and I can’t thank him enough for making these photos so memorable.

The fiancé and I are extremely happy with our experience with Richard and StudioLuxe! We went with the Gold Package which included an engagement photo shoot on top of the day-​of pictures. The engagement photos were a hit. We received so many compliments from everyone! Because of Richard’s experience and artistic eye he captured so many precious and beautiful moments. The site selections were perfect as well – I didn’t know that there were such beautiful buildings, bridges, flowerbeds in Los Angeles.
Richard and his team were extremely thoughtful and accommodating as well. It was extremely cloudy the day of our engagement shoot, but near the end of the shoot the the sun came out and the lighting was great so Richard stayed longer than what we initially agreed without charging overtime! He was so focused on getting us amazing pictures! He even offered to give us an extra 3-​hr session the next day because the weather was ideal for taking pictures! So thankful to have met Richard and his team!
They were very awesome for the day-​of also! Can’t wait to see the pictures!

Wedding photography is an investment. You simply can’t go cheap on it. And never would we have thought to find one that would be reasonable and yet also produce exceptional work. We were referred to Richard by a close friend. To describe Richard and his work as great is an understatement. Based on the samples he posted, I was taken away how amazing it turned out! He has a passion and talent that is not seen in a lot of photographers now a days. He is also a perfectionist. He made sure every picture looked great! It was so much fun working with him. My family and friends loved him! Can’t wait to see more pictures!

Richard was tremendous! He knew all the best spots and times to go. We had our engagement pictures taken in downtown LA and couldn’t be happier. We were very comfortable with him and he was very professional. He was quick with the editing and turnaround, too. Would definitely recommend for engagement/​announcement pics or anything in that realm. :-)

It’s been awhile since I got married but I wanted to leave few comments about this studio. Most Korean photographers I know are pretty grumpy and sometimes even down right rude. However, photographers from StudioLuxe (especially Mr. Kim) were very patient, accommodating, and comfortable to work with. Not once did he get upset nor show that he was. This made me feel comfortable which is very important when taking pictures, at least for me cause my mood shows on my face easily.
Besides the nice photographer, I love their work as well. I had two engagement sessions. One casual and one formal (this may seem odd to other cultures). Each session was one full day. He really went out of his way to capture all the looks I wanted. I loved all my engagement photos and wedding photos. I noticed he likes to focus on the brides face, specifically on eyes. This made me feel little uneasy at the time but it turned out really great! Bottom line, I’m a very happy, satisfied customer and referred few friends as well! He really does go above and beyond!

Recently I met Mr. Richard Kim because he was taking my best friend’s casual and formal wedding photo shoots. Just like when I took my wedding pictures in 2009 his work is outstanding and I loved all my pictures.
He’s a wonderful photographer to work with. My husband and I felt very comfortable with him. He’s an amazing artist who’s good at capturing the moment and our love story. He definitely goes above and beyond with his customers.

2. Being a true Artist. He has a sense of soft, romantic artistry. He chases the light when he takes photos. He is not about just taking a picture in an designated area with a pose. He likes to make sure the lighting and the sun is at its prime position when he shoots. This Attention to detail makes for a beautiful end product.
3. Being Overly Accommodating. He is so patient and also goes above and beyond in making you feel comfortable during your shoot. Also the after service is excellent.
It took me a year to finally decide on my photographer. I am glad I did and choose Richard. I interviewed with Studio Luxe 5 times and went to all of the other FAMOUS photographers with 5 star Unilocal reviews in Los Angeles and in Orange County. To say I am picky is an understatement, hence for me to be this happy with Richard says a lot.
Of all my wedding Vendors, my Fiancé and I always say that Richard was the best investment we’ve made. No complaints!

Starting to write reviews for my wedding vendors and because engagement photos are the first things to get done, I’ll write one for my photographer. I was hesitant at first to go with Studio Luxe cause all my girlfriends did their wedding photography with Studio Luxe. But I met with Mr. Hong and expressed my concern and he ensured me that the places we’ll go will be different from everyone else. That was indeed the case and he provided many location options and themes which was very helpful. He was patient and accommodating the entire time. I’ve seen some of my photos and they’ve come out great! I’d recommend him to anyone who wants a variety of photos and themes at a great value.

Studio Luxe is by far one of the best decisions made during my wedding planning process! As someone that isn’t considered much of a Unilocaler, I just had to take the time to review how awesome of a photographer Richard was!
My fiancé and I recently took our engagement photos with Richard and we had such a great experience. It’s always the best when you can see that your own photographer is very passionate and excited as he comes up with various ideas as we go. He knew exactly what he wanted to capture and really made us feel comfortable. Even through the hot weather, he worked so hard to make each shot worthwhile. He gives spot on directions and pointers along the way (things to consider for the wedding day as well).
