Everlast Construction

Choosing construction company is not easy, we interviewed around 6 local contractors. Everlast came on time, they gave us full undivided attention answer all of our quastions. Ari was the person that came to meet us. Second meeting Ari came with Gideon his quality assurance supervisor. We enjoy talking with both of them and knew then that we will work with them. Ari and Gideon was very involve in the process. Overall we highly recommend them.

We had kitchen remodel project that was started and completed on time, with top quality workmanship. Also, everyone was very easy to work with and had great suggestions for us along the way. When we do any future remodeling projects, our first stop will be Everlast Construction. Based on our experience, we highly recommend Everlast Construction.

We worked with Ari and Jonathan for our Great Room and Master Bath remodel. Ari was great. We worked together so well and came up with some beautiful ideas. When we were going way over our budget, Ari came up with great solutions to bring the cost down and still keep it like I had envisioned. The cabinets are beautiful and the compliments we receive prove it was a job well done!

Everlast construction did a complete main bath remodel for us. From the complete demo to the last detail, Ari and his crew did an AMAZING job. Even when I made a major change midway through the project, Ari maintained his professionalism and sense of humor. This was our first experience working with a professional remodel company and it was great. They are 100% professional and trustworthy. We have asked them do our kitchen as well after saw the quality of work. we are so thankful to Everlast Construction Thank you.

We truly couldn’t be happier with the work Ari, have done on our kitchen remodel. They make an excellent team — Ari has a lovely design aesthetic and outstanding customer service and Jonathan is a detailed project manager and skilled individual. They are both such a pleasure to work with. We’ve had experience working with terrible contractors in the past and our experience with Everlast Construction was just wonderful. Ari and Jonathan are very responsive, accommodating to our requests, flexible yet hold a high standard. Our project was a huge success and we are very happy from our new kitchen. SEXIST AND ARROGANT!!! I am looking to have a shower and tub removed and replaced with a small closet and walk-​in shower. Ari shows up to give me a bid. Before he even sees the bathroom, he’s telling me everything he sees wrong with my house and wants to be the guy to «fix it». I tell him that I have spent 26 years here raising a happy family and am well aware of the cosmetic shortcomings of my house; I’d just like him to look at my master bath. Once in the bathroom, our conversation keeps tracking back to how great his company and his crew is and the fact that my husband is not part of the conversation. Apparently, females are not this guy’s cup of tea when talking «shop». I guess in his estimation, women are just not worth his time. Newsflash Ari, this is America and women actually DO have opinions and make decisions about what make their homes functional; AND, if I may be so bold as to remind you Ari, half of this house is MINE under the law. After taking NO measurements whatsoever and despite my telling him that my husband’s opinion would come into play ONLY after we receive his company’s bid and the two of us could sit down and consider all the bids that we receive, he was INSISTENT that he say «goodbye» to him and then proceeded to tell him all the details of his opinion of the job as well as quote him an EXORBITANT cost to execute a relatively minimal job. If this guy thought my job was small potatoes for his hoity-​toity company, then I wish he just would have said so, or if this company just can’t deal with women whom their husbands trust to actually make decisions, then they need to be transparent with these conditions upfront and only make calls on clients who phone in from the 1950s.

I had a bad experience. I was blown away at the outrageous price they quoted me to tile a shower. They weren’t even close to competitive and bid 4x more expensive than others. I saw another Unilocal post regarding gender bias and wouldn’t be surprised if that was an issue here too. They rescheduled on me multiple times the day of the appointment as well.

This is a very high pressure sale and they are sexist.
I was called by Everlast Construction after apparently filling out a form online. I invited them in to give an estimate, but I shouldn’t have. It should have been a huge red flag when they asked if my husband was going to be there. He doesn’t have time. Anyway, Alex came to the door and he kept asking about my husband, which I found very offensive. He kept trying to tell me how expensive everything was going to be. When I told him we were on a budget, he told me they do everything high end and that we were looking at well over $ 100,000 for a simple kitchen remodel (no reconfiguration, no walls taken down) and a renovation of a small in-​law unit. We live in Richmond. If we were to put well over $ 100,000 into our house, it wouldn’t give us well over $ 100,000 in equity, simply because our house is already in fairly good shape and we just bought it.
Alex barely asked me any questions beyond «do you have good credit,» and «when can your husband be here.» He took no measurements whatsoever. He tried telling me that all the other contractors were wrong, despite the fact that I didn’t even tell him what other contractors had said.
Before even giving us an estimate or even any ideas, he tried pressuring me to sign a loan application and give him cash down. I’ve never heard of such a thing from a contractor. At that point, I asked him to leave. All I am doing right now is collecting bids. Once we have all the bids, we will decide on a contractor. Everlast won’t be that contractor, though.

Tom and crew did an excellent job from start to finish.
Everything was done in very smart stages, from the demolition and management of all the debris, to picking up all of the new materials for us, to getting all necessary permits squared away with our city, all the way through to the tiling, lighting, fixtures, plumbing, and painting for the bathroom.
We are super happy with how it turned out. They were very clear in communicating needs, and Tom made it even easier by being available by phone and text when we were at work during the remodel.

So I bought a house months ago we needed foundation I never worked with a company that was so rude. Here are list of things that went wrong:
1:The guy they sent over shook my hand did even give me a chance to invite him in, invited himself inn. Which I thought was rude
2: insulted my intelligence
3: did not take no measurements just looked at everything. And gave an estimate of how much everything is going to cost. On top of that try to shake me down for down payment.
I have never cam across a company that is so unprofessional.

This was one of the best experiences we have had with any of the professionals who have come to provide a service in our home. He asked us questions about how we wanted to use our kitchen, how many people would be in the home, what was most critical to us and what functionality and appliances were most important to us. What was amazing is that he able to give us so many creative and different ideas, the ones that never would have entered our minds.
He was very careful and took an incredible amount of time with us and we came away with very professional renderings as well as an understanding of what the project would entail. We were able to view the finished product right away and will receive a hard copy of his report within several days. This is truly a fast turn around!
We never felt any pressure from Ari and that helped to make our experience even better.
We were also able to see some of his other projects from small to very large — all of which were impressive.
We will certainly recommend Ari and company Everlast Construction to our friends and family. Our next door neighbors have a already scheduled their long over due kitchen renovation with Everlast.

I used Everlast Construction to replace the roof on my house. My initial experience was not that great The job took longer than expected and though the main office staff were very professional and responsive, some miscommunications occurred.
However, what matters most to me though was that, when there were errors or miscommunications, the company was very committed to making things right. In the end, the owner, Ariel, went out of his way to see that we felt properly taken care of. Ariel told me that some of the guys on the crew that did this job had been let go because their performance was not up to his standards and he took responsibility for miscommunications. He also extended my warranty because of the concerns I expressed (and documented) re: this particular job.
Not many contractors stand behind their work in this way and I get the feeling that the miscommunications and delays we experienced will not happen again because Ariel is determined to maintain his company’s reputation. Judging by the other Unilocal reviews of the company’s work, I would say that my experience was unusual among Everlast’s customers; everyone attests to Ariel’s focus on customer service and satisfaction.

We had Everlast renovate our small master bathroom and were very happy with the job. We first had Home Depot come in for an estimate – their estimate was more than double Everlast’s! Home Depot was also sketchy about the costs of materials. The sales rep brings a catalogue of hardware, shower doors, etc., with no prices. When we asked for prices, she said she didn’t have any. Not only that, but the catalogue only includes the most high-​priced stock. I then went online and found a site that asks you to fill in your information and «up to 4 contractors» will respond with estimates. Everlast was the only one to respond. Home Depot also told us there was a 8 week lead time; Everlast told us they could start in a week.
We worked with Jay, the project manager, and a two-​man crew. The crew was extremely hard-​working. They managed to complete the job in two days and stayed late both evenings to get work done. One the last day, they stayed until 9, barely taking any breaks. I ordered pizza for them since I thought they must be starving, but they didn’t even break for dinner.
We were happy with the job Everlast did and will use them again.

We used Ari (Everlast construction) for Kitchen & living room remodeling which included
— demolition of kitchen
— removing carpet & flooring in kitchen and living room
— demolition of kitchen wall to create open kitchen concept
— expanding the size of kitchen
— building new cabinets
— install appliances
— install new countertops
— install hardwood floors
— install recessed lightning
We loved the end result and we will use Ari (from Everlast contruction) again for bathroom remodeling and updating the backyard
We interacted with Ari (owner) from start to finish. When we were evaluating Ari, he was able to give us examples of the work that he had recently done. He was able to quickly evaluate if the kitchen wall we wanted to remove was load bearing or not. Ari took care of getting permits from the city and getting all city inspections completed. we usually communicated through email and he was always responsive. Since we were away working most of the day during the week and not available to meet in person, Ari always made time to meet with us (when needed) over the weekends or late in the day during the week.

I’m not one to write a review on Unilocal,however Ari’s team did an amazing job that is worthy of sharing.
Like many others, my husband and I needed to get out of our 1 bedroom SF apartment once we found out we were expecting our first child. The Oakland house hunt was long and intense, but we finally closed on a home on the actual day I delivered my son. It needed some work to change up its 90s décor and remove the previous owners love for shiny oak finishings. However, I refused to live in a house with a newborn during renovations.
Ari came to the rescue. My husband took 4 bids for a kitchen remodel and refinished floors. Ari was responsive, detailed, and more importantly, he agreed to meet our fast schedule. His team worked late evenings and weekends so I can have a fully renovated kitchen in 4 weeks! Ari also dealt with the demands of a semi indecisive couple and added things last minute such as accent tiles, garbage drawer and pull out pantries with no complaint.
I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE my kitchen and can’t thank Everlast Construction enough. We already have plans to re-​do our bathrooms next year!
