My girls and I decided to visit this restaurant this week, and wow what a disappointment. Most of the food was dried on the edges and COLD… I went to the hibachi bar selected my food and stood there for at least 8 minutes waiting for the cook, I guess he was on a break and they only had one cook. Some of the food choices tasted like last nights leftover, not safe. We decided we had enough and went to check out to pay and I have 2 receipts one for lunch and one for dinner, I was totally confused and I asked why and they said it was a mistake, when I looked closer to my receipt and I was charged separately for the sodas, when my daughter and I came the first time we were told soda was included, it wasn’t till I checked out that I saw the sign that soda was separate for a cost… wow… I was very displeased at this point and the women who checked us out didn’t seemed concerned about my complaints, all she wanted was the credit card, when I asked to speak to the manager she stated she was the manager, and I know this wasn’t true, because I met the owner/manager on my first visit. This woman only listened to key words and steadily had her hand out for my credit and kept repeating the bill amount. It was obvious she didn’t speak or understand good English. Overall I will NEVER eat here again nor will I recommend it to others. I will stick with Mings and Plymouth Garden, the food was cold or old, 20 employees or more working and had to wait to have my food cooked, and we were the only customers for about 20 minutes, price is to high and don’t included a soda, the only thing good was the one waiter, who kept our table clean and our glasses full… I’m far from a disgruntle customer as I eat out ALOT, but if this is how you treat and feed people, you don’t have to worry about our family coming back. Like they say don’t judge a book by its cover, the restaurant is new and the décor is calming, but the food and service hands down not worth it. Finally, when I got home I was sick as a dog, stayed in the bathroom most of the night, not sure if it was the fish or crab meat. signed: WILLNEVERRETURNORRECOMMEND

Service was great. Food was delicious but, the buffet was not turned over meaning some food had dried out.

Certainly the largest buffet I’ve been to in a long time! The foods I tried were quite tasty. My only wish is that if a customer wasn’t partaking in eating of the seafood, they would get the normal price. $ 17 for a buffet when I ate a plate and a half of food with no seafood is a little off-putting(and no beverage included for that price). Since it’s close to my office, it’ll be a great lunch take-out. I believe it’s right around $ 4/pound for what you put in your take-out box.

Been here twice. First time everything was cold and tasteless. Overpriced to boot! This time on a Friday at 1730 it was hit fresh and flavorful with lots of options. Fried rice has a ton of eggs in it which I love! Didn’t like how the dinner buffet was $ 13 and didn’t include a drink! For that price I should get a soda thank you. Service was good and friendly. Never got to half a glass of water. Would recommend if it is prime time.

The sushi was good, but that’s about as far as it goes. The food on the buffet was cold and mostly soggy fried items. The hibachi was ok, but they should make it a «serve yourself» portions instead of the chef grabbing it. Also we had to wait for a while for a hibachi chef to even come out from the back. It got to the point where a server had to go fetch him from somewhere. The servers themselves were efficient and regularly checked up on us, which was the best part of the experience. That and the cool fountain at the entrance.

Went with my son for an early dinner. For a buffet I am not looking for the best food but good food and plenty of of it. Kirin Buffet’s service was very good, we were quickly greeted and seated and the drink refills were done quickly and before we ran dry. The food ranged from good to very good with the typical Chinese buffet types of dishes which were about the same as other good buffets. The sushi and seafood were both the top performers. The sweets again were typical buffet sweets but were tasty and with a good variety.

I went them on a weeknight. The food available was not as advertised. If you are used to better dining, this restaurant is not for you. When asking why there no Sashimi and Crab legs as shown on the picture, the male manager gave me a lecture of with the money they charged for dinner buffet, I should not expect to have sashimi or crab legs. He said these items would only available during the weekend dinner. From the Ad, the dinner price is the same the weekend and weekdays. The reply was that the ad was wrong. Someone printed the ad for them and the dinner price should be different on weekend. I was very unhappy with the meal I had and feel that was completely waste of money, plus the rudeness of the manager, I would never go there again.

We visited Saturday around 2:00 pm. Still customers in the restaurant, mostly Asian, and more coming in. Serving trays in the hot area were hot and well-maintained. I started with sushi, sashimi and seaweed salad. Everything was fresh and nicely displayed. The seaweed salad is my favorite, and this version was particularly good. For these items alone, I felt we got our moneysworth. Hot items were hot and well cared for. My wife liked her frog legs, a personal favorite, and beef ribs. I had steamed clams and mussels. The hot and sour soup was very flavorful, and filled with tofu and other appropriate ingredients. Next time, I am having the phở + noodles bar, lots of good things to add to the phở. For $ 12.99($ 8.25 for weekday lunch), this is a good weekend lunch deal. Weekday dinner appears to be $ 12.95 per person, $ 16.95 with crab added for weekend dinner. Beverages are extra. Server was very conscientious, and always on the spot to remove our dirty plates. Bright and clean design, lots of tables and separate areas, and very clean restrooms. A welcome addition to the neighborhood.

I arrived to this establishment on New Years day with a hunger so vast, the seas would part for me. They were running a crab leg special for $ 17 which raised a little excitement in my tummy. Eating. Salivating. The variety offered at Kirin buffet was exquisite. Ranging from fresh never ending crab legs to all sorts of sushi, sashimi, nigiri, and tempura shrimp. They even offered a dish from my motherland, phở. The employees were nice however many lacked English training. Kirin buffet is surprisingly massive on the inside. Ambience was top notch along with a variety of tasteful pop music(the likes of Samuel Smith and Justin Drew Bieber). Bathrooms were also clean and decorative. Overall, I will most likely return once again from the shadows for a taste. Thank you for reading. –Tan

We tried this restaurant today for the first time and were really impressed. The whole front of the house was very clean and all of the food on the buffet line was hot and fresh as the personnel were quickly replenishing any item that needed refilled. The food tasted very good and there was a huge selection of items to choose from. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys good food.

Browsing through«hot new businesses» on an empty stomach is dangerous, especially when your options consist of AYCE and buffet options. My mom, boyfriend, and I decided to take the drive out here after reading the few highly rated reviews. It’s a pretty large restaurant, so seating doesn’t seem to be an issue. I agree with the others that this place has a large selection of different food types however, a large selection doesn’t impress me if none of the options are particularly good. Perhaps we just happened to come at a not-so-busy time, but one thing that I noticed was a lot of the food was sitting out for a long, long time to the point where it didn’t look the least bit appetizing anymore. The seaweed salad, for example, was crusting at the edges. At the hibachi bar, the egg noodles which were supposed to be soft and fresh were crunchy and clearly old. I am a particularly huge fan of hibachi and I found that this hibachi grill was very comparable to other buffets(in terms of ingredient options and the way it tastes). For my first plate of hibachi, I felt that the cook could’ve added a bit more seasoning(teriyaki sauce) to it. It was a bit bland. So the second time I went up, I requested for him to add a bit more seasoning twice, but he had headphones in one ear and didn’t hear me both times so I just settled for the light seasoning again. I was a bit disappointed. This place also has a lot of seafood, but a lot of it didn’t taste fresh. The crab was clearly frozen and re-steamed and the sashimi was very old. The shrimp was probably the best seafood option there. They also have a phở bar and compared to other buffets that have phở options, I would have to say that their broth was probably one of the better ones that I have tasted. The remainder of the foods were quite comparable to other buffets with the typical various Chinese foods, none that particularly stood out to me. Overall, I didn’t find anything special about the place and probably wouldn’t make the drive out here again. I’ve tasted better when it comes to buffet food.

Surprisingly good. At first glance, the buffet appears smaller than at Super Moon, but the number of edible items here is greater. In fact, most of the dishes were at the higher end of Americanized Chinese. Very fresh and hot. Lots of crisp veggies, white meat chicken. All the usual suspects: sesame chicken, fried rice, lo mein, beef and broccoli. Excellent value for $ 8 lunch.

This place is a nice surprise in the middle of suburban Plymouth, where ethnic options are limited. I was dragged here over the Thanksgiving holiday by my family members who love buffets of all varieties, especially ones with seafood. If you see two people anxiously hovering around the steamed fish and piling their plates with a tank of crab legs, they’re probably my parents. This place is actually a deal for that alone. For me, the best thing here by far was the phở noodle bar which I’ve never seen anywhere before. You can select what goes into your bowl: the meats, the amount of sprouts, lime wedges, cilantro, &etc. It was surprisingly good — actual Vietnamese restaurant quality. I didn’t have the sushi, but my sister said it was decent. The rolls were more elaborate than at other buffets and the sashimi was plentiful. Also, I don’t know what they’re called, but the crispy twists with sticky sugar near the sliced fruit were extremely addictive.

Lousy experience. Went for lunch on a Saturday. Food was refrigerator cold. Finally realized it was leftovers from Friday night. While trying to put food on my plate at buffet, two times employees ran into me. Wake up!, inedible food, $ 35.09 for two people for lunch, employees apparently part of zombie apocalypse, and no one curious about why we left full plates on the table. Skip this place.

Overall: A culinary journey into Asia, with a variety of buffet samplings from China, Vietnam, Japan, and a bit of Korea. Food: There must have been at least 100 choices. While not every choice was perfect, the sheer amount of variety makes this Plymouth restaurant delicious. They offered a full sushi bar, with a wide variety of sushi options and sashimi. Most of it was pretty fresh. The buffet also had a full noodle and hibachi bar, as well as your normal offerings of Chinese buffet food. There were too many to list here, but my favorites were the sushi(including salmon sashimi) phở, and taro buns. — Kirin buffet will from now on hold a special place in my heart because it served as the reunion place for my high school friends since graduating college. The restaurant had a fusion of Japanese and Chinese aesthetics, with a large Shinto shrine and Chinese posters. There was soft EDM music playing in the background that gave the restaurant a classic modern vibe(is that a thing?). My party was one of the first at the buffet and we were fortunate enough to get fresh offerings of everything. I started off with the sushi, went to the phở bar after, and ended with random Chinese dishes and desserts. The quality of everything was pretty decent, especially cause a lot of the stuff was freshly cooked. This place is comparable to Super Moon buffet, though I think it comes at a lower price point. In the context of Plymouth buffets, I would highly recommend giving this place a try.
