ABC Lock and Safe

I somehow managed to lock my valet key and my regular keys in my car. Yay for me! I was parked about two miles from my house and had to walk home, forgetting that I didn’t have another spare. I ended up leaving the car there for the night, and called Jack the next morning. I told him my situation, and that it would take about 30 – 40 minutes for me to get there. Not only did he swing by and pick me up, he managed to unlock my car – which was really a pain in the butt to do, because Toyota’s security systems work a little too well. The pricing was very reasonable, and totally worth it.

Wow what can I say, there are those rare times when u stand back and say a business owner is honest and really cares about his customers ! I called today, we talked about my lock issue, agreed on a price and time, he came out, noticed it was a simple repair and charged me NOTHING !!

I was back at the Portland airport with my family and my van, but my keys were still in Philadelphia.
On the day I called, Jack had his vehicle in the shop and so referred me to another locksmith. After that locksmith failed and gave up, I gave Jack another call. He came out in his personal vehicle. Creating a new key for my van was extremely time-​consuming, but Jack stuck with his initial quote and got me back on the road. I would have had to rent a car and drive ten hours if a locksmith hadn’t been able to help. Thanks ABC Lock and Safe.

Jack is great. We had a lock malfunction and was inoperable. He arrived on time and got the door open, rebuilt the lock and was upfront about the problem. He fixed it in no time and explained the details of why it failed. He’s the first person I’ll call if the need arises.

This guy was awesome! He not only came on Labor Day but he was funny and fast and just an overall great guy! I will be using only him from now on.

Best locksmith ever! I was locked out of my house one day, so I called these guys up. The locksmith showed up in 15 minutes. He was super full of energy and excited to help me out. When we realized that my old lock was unpickable and he would have to drill out the bolt and replace it (which would cost a lot more than just picking it), we went over other options. He even said that he wouldn’t charge me if I ended up just going back to work to get my keys (which would have been difficult since it’s locked and well… My keys to the office are in there…) I asked if he could watch me while I climbed a ladder to my second story window just in case I fell, and without a second thought to it he hopped onto the ladder and climbed it to the window! Mind you that the ladder, and my roof… Heck, my whole house is in disrepair, so climbing up that ladder and essentially risking his safety took major cajones!
Then we realized that my window wouldn’t open past 5 inches because I put a stick in its railing to prevent people from breaking in (DAMN it I hate that I am so safe). Then he said, I have just the thing. Went back to his truck, grabbed a wire, hauled it back up the ladder, fished out the stick, climbed through my bedroom window, and unlocked the door! I was SO amazed someone was so nice! I am going to recommend ABC Locks to everyone I know.

Over the last seven years Jack has bailed me out of too many to name «locked myself out» situations. He is always prompt, courteous, and fun to chat with as he works his magic to get me back inside. I also appreciate that he offers affordable pricing. While I hate that I lock myself out of the house with some regularity, I love that I can always count on Jack to get me back in within a relatively short span of time. Jack to the rescue. I called after another locksmith recommended him. He was at my place within 30 minutes to unlock my scooter. And all this on a Sunday! Thank your for your prompt and efficient service.

BEWARE! Last week I made an appointment with Jack at 2pm but he never showed. When I called at 2:30 to find out if he was coming he said that he didn’t remember that we had an appointment but that he «knew he had something to do but he couldn’t remember what» and that he «was just sitting at his desk and would be right over». I am 1 mile from him and he showed ~ 30 min later. After only being here 5 minutes he’d received two phone calls and told both people that he had not forgotten about them but was on his way as they spoke. Also noteworthy: Jack was speaking very quickly, in a unnatural sort of way, and was doing a bad job of listening.
After figuring out what I needed he told me that he charges a travel service fee of $ 75, plus labor, plus parts. He told me that he would call later that day with his return timing to finish the job and final cost. He knew I was leaving town after renting out the place and that the situation was urgent, but I never heard from him again! I decided to call another locksmith.
(I was needing installation of three internal bedroom door locks and to have all three of my outdoor locks serviced. A pretty decent sized job…)

We needed a door lock open ASAP and Jack was there in 10 mins! Great guy, would suggests him to anyone.

I couldn’t be happier with ABC Lock & Safe. I called needing the locks re-​keyed at my home, with a fair degree of urgency. Jack was there in less than 2 hours, and not only re-​keyed my locks but also repaired the door handle at no charge. I will no longer need to come to Unilocal when I need a locksmith!

Um, Jack was awesome. I called half an hour ago asking if I could get two keys copied today. He said, «How about in 10 minutes?» DONE. He was extremely friendly, professional, and fast (added bonus: I got to pet his neighbor’s affectionate cat). Plus, it was super-​cheap. If you don’t know Jack… well, fix that pronto.

Fast, prompt service. Clear price, stuck to that price, came when he said he would, AWESOME service! Needing to pop open a stuck lock sucks but this guy was great. Softened the blow!

I called based on the reviews because I had a non emergency and wanted to make a copy of some keys. The owner said though he could do it, he could recommend a few other local companies closer by and in the end, recommended I see the dealership because it would benefit me the most. The honesty was great! If I have an emergency, he’ll be my first call.

Last night my car key snapped in half right as I was getting ready to go home from a show… GREAT RIGHT! So I called Roadside assistance and they sent ABC Lock and safe over to help. The guy was so conscientious I was amazed, it’s been so long since I met anyone that truly enjoys helping others. He had to pop my lock out of my glove compartment to find the code to make me a new key, THEN he hand cut the key to perfect factory specs and made me an extra (he wasn’t obligated to do that).
I highly recommend this service. He was prompt, professional, friendly, and skilled.
