History

Established in 2005.

Holt Woodworks started out of a garage in Multnomah Village. In 2011 we moved to the current industrial warehouse and expanded our tool inventory in order to take on more advanced projects. We still build custom furniture, small run custom cabinetry, and small scale home improvements.

Business Owner

Evan Holt, founder, comes from a long lineage of carpenters and furniture makers starting with a Union carpenter in the Civil War. I have a BA, with honors, from Lewis & Clark College and a MA from Pacific Northwest College of Art. My goal is to allow people the opportunity to own well crafted items at reasonable prices and get to know the craftspeople behind those products. I believe local materials and local talent help foster stronger community bonds and improve us all.
