Always a good welcoming feeling, when you come prepare for a little wait… Or a long one if its a Friday night.
Food is always amazing I love coming for brunch so I love to get the Chiefs omelet with the croissant and there jam is to die for.
Good chic place to go out for brunch.
And prices are pretty good.

Yesterdays Monte Carlo sandwich was so good, it literally brought tears of pleasure to my eyes. The smoked turkey, the bacon, the pepper jack cheese, the tomato, the Dijon mayonnaise (and maybe a bit of sriracha mayo, too?) on excellent grilled French bread — everything was top-​notch. I was reminded of a similar experience several years ago when I had Andouille-​crusted Fish with Cayenne Butter Sauce at the Palace Café in New Orleans. Signature eating moments in both cases..

Superb food throughout the entire menu, especially the pastries. However, I cannot recommend the service: multiple times, I have ordered food, never to receive a place setting. Or coffee that comes without cream. Then the cream comes, but not a spoon. Then the spoon comes, but not the sugar. Then the sugar comes, but there’s no napkin. Then the napkin comes, but then there’s never a bill. Then the bill comes, but nobody ever collects payment. Then someone comes to collect payment, but where’s the change??? Sigh… just take the pastries to go, and enjoy!

Sunday brunch here today took me back to the Paris cafes we lingered in over great coffee, breakfast and pastries! The wait at 11:00 am was about 30 minutes but we enjoyed a pastry from the beautiful display of French yummies while we waited. So hard to decide from so many great choices. The chefs omelette was perfect… full of fresh meats and veggies and topped with avocado. The potatoes and squash were perfectly seasoned and roasted. The creamy polenta and eggs with bacon was delish… very creamy and richly satisfying. The Croque Provence was huge. eggs with chives on a slab of ham with the best spiced aioli sauce over brioche. The service was attentive and we were never rushed. Tres bien! I want to return for lunch and dive into the French onion soup!

My favorite bakery and café in town! The waitstaff is super sweet and very speedy. The croissants are the best I have ever had and the fresh jam is amazing! Don’t forget to try one of their many mimosa flavors!

OMG this place got it together. Great service, delicious food. My friends and I enjoyed ourselves. We will be coming back to this location. Forget the other ones lol

* My sister ordered the Polenta, which was absolutely the best I’ve ever tried in my life! So rich and creamy! Simply divine!
* The orange juice was freshly squeezed and tasted amazing.
* The pastry counter is beautiful, with a wide assortment of delicious little cakes and French pastries.
Dislikes:
* Not a good idea for a group of more than 4 people. We came for a birthday brunch on a Saturday morning with 7 ladies, and we ended up having to wait 1.5 hours to get a table. Much too long to wait for a table, in my opinion.
* The baked eggs that were so highly recommended were a major disappoint… After waiting so long outside to get seated, it was a disappointment when the eggs they brought us were so overcooked, they were rubbery and hard. The potato inside the dish was alright, but lacking flavor. I don’t use ketchup often, but this time I had to use some sort of flavor boost for those lackluster baked eggs. (It wasn’t just one dish that had overcooked eggs… ⁵⁄₈ of us ordered the same baked eggs because it was so highly recommended to us. And they all came to us very overcooked and dry. And rubbery. Even after I’d specifically requested my eggs to be soft inside. Oh, well…
I’d recommend this place for the polenta and the baked goods

A friend shared this place and it met all my expectations, brunch menu had lots of selections to choose from. The bakery is lovely! Full of beautiful baked treats
But the menu is not to be passed up on. They have a very creative line up that may make it hard to choose what you want to order. Risotto cakes with poached eggs were sooo yummy! And their coffee selection is great too!
Go enjoy and pick up something from the bakery to take home too!

I had the Day Breaker breakfast with the house made pork sausage. Very delicious. I will be back to try more.
Very busy place, hard to get a waiter at times.
Overall a great experience, and amazing foods

Did you know that, along with a dizzying variety of beautiful and delicious french pastries, you can also get a fantastic ham & cheese croissant, made to order, for $ 4.25 ($ 5.75 if you add an egg) at breakfast hours? I didn’t either! And I’d eaten at both PP locations a total of a half-​dozen times! It’s a screaming deal, and it’s ready in under 5 minutes if they’re not super busy (probably 10 if they are busy, which is typically the case on weekends.)

I walked into this place and immediately fell in love with the aesthetics. It had like a French vibe to it and it was just awesome. If you are a lover of matcha, I suggest ordering the matcha latte. It’s sooo good.
The deserts they have are adorable, including choices of macarons and many different types of cakes and tarts. I got the tiramisu. It was light, with the perfect amount of sweetness to it.
This place was great and I wouldn’t mind coming to it again.

I love the food at this cute restaurant!!! But the waiter we got… Was working night shift on a Saturday night. Couple things went wrong with the way he served us–
1. Did not look happy to serve us.
2. Did not offer a menu, when we asked him why he said he assumed we were there for dessert.
3. Brought our lattes and one of the lattes was completely spilled over.
4. Asked him to fix it, brought back a sticky cup.
Awefullllllll service!!! He needs to go, and then the place would be perfect!

I live right next door from Petite Provence — best pastries in the city (and aren’t over-​priced — I’m talking to you Blue Star Donuts…)
Once my French Bulldog escaped and ran right in to Petite Provence. The staff was absolutely helpful and concerned and my dog apparently ran into the kitchen, ate some bacon and was taken by 2 customers that left their number for us to contact them.
And the cream puff swan will make your head explode like the Death Star. I’ve never had better cakes, pies, and other desserts — not to mention their super fresh bread selections. Vive la France (on Division St)

No hems, haws or half points, this place is a 5-​star hottie! Been here a few times over the last 5 or so years and have never been disappointed. Akways a wait on a weekend, but not too bad, and there’s a coffee area where there were even samples and deliscious java while you wait.
The place is very clean, very bright, has a very large bakery on the right side and has a wonderful french feel. They really hit the mark in design/​decoration. And everything they bake is amazing!
My friend and I ordered — me a salmon hash and she a salad with some chicken in it. Hers looked great — and this is one of her favorite places to eat so I know how she feels. My dish was superb. The hash is light, mostly potato strewn with big and little bits of salmon throughout. Just the perfect smattering for my taste. Everything is so obviously made from fresh and awesome ingredients. The coissant (I could have had toast) was deliscous. Had some with the meal and the rest as dessert with the brilliant rasberry jam they serve.
When my friend inquited about a loaf of rye bread, the waiter told us they were out. She was notably disapointed and said so. He apologized and asked if he could bring her a slice. She said no. But he did anyway — I knew he would. He brought her 2 sices — enough for a sandwhich. What a doll… sweet guy with those giant wooden things in his ears.
The meal topped out at around $ 16 each (I think that included tip, I didnt pay :). Really not a bad deal for a great meal, at a great location, great surroundings and great people. Cant wait for next time!

Really great atmosphere. Our server was very nice. I ordered the berry French toast, it was good but a little too sweat for my likings. Probably won’t get that anymore but everything else was great. I’d definitely come back!

Tres Bön! I normally go to the Alberta location, but today there was a 1+ hour wait and we were really hungry, so we drove to the Division location and only waited 20 minutes. So glad that we did, because the service was beyond excellent!
We were celebrating my daughter’s birthday with brunch + dessert and Le Petite Provence the perfect choice.
I had the Menuette Benedict and my daughter had the Berry Stuffed French Toast and a marionberry mimosa. Our server was phenomenal, genuinely friendly (I despise fake «friendly» servers) and as usual the food was delicious.
Bottom Line: It was worth the drive across town.

5 stars let’s you say… Oui oui!
There is just something truly special about this place. They’ve grown by leaps and bounds, and have several versions of their place around the Portland area, but this is by far my favorite. Quality, service, attention to detail, they really work hard to make these things more than words. Been here several times to stop in for a pastry, a load of bread, and a few meals. I’ve tried breakfast an dinner here, and what amazes me every time is how they get it right every single time.
Espresso bar is very fine, and has the single best chai I’ve ordered anywhere in Portland and that says a lot. Pastries, cakes, and various confectionery goodness is top notch. I’ve been to France 4 times, and everything here certainly stands up well to what I’ve had over there. I especially like the freshness of everything. Late in the day they tend to run out of things, but rightly so. You don’t want them cranking things out. Better to get there earlier and get value for your money. You certainly pay a premium here, but you get the quality with it. Not something you always get elsewhere.
Menu is made up of French and American classics, although most things I’ve noticed are more American café entrees that use good local ingredients. Recently we did Mothers’ Day here as we do most years, and we were impressed how they use a small plate menu for dinner. No entrees which can be a bit of a challenge, and might tick some people off. At first I was really unsure, but it turned out magnificent and my parents and I tried things we normally wouldn’t, like risotto cakes, and a grilled wedge salad of some sort with a basalmic glaze.
Bread is something I feel gets overlooked here with so many other good things, but you can really make a meal out of their expertly prepared loaves. They make a variety of olive bread, country French, and small and large baguettes. If you can, order some with your meal, it’s some of the best bread I’ve tasted, and I worked at a bakery for 8 years. They even have a wonderful gluten free bread option which is perfect for my Mom. It freezes extremely well too.
Overall, just a real treat coming here. I’ve always left very satisfied, and very happy with everything. Service is awesome, and if you’re lucky, a pretty French girl will gladly let you try your terrible High School French out on her and you won’t feel like an idiot. So glad Petit Provence is here in Portland. Just a special place for this reviewer.

Stopped in to check out some of the pastries, was hard to make a decision because everything looked so yummy.
Seems like a great place to eat because it was packed, the women behind the front desk where you can order pastries, coffee and other espresso drinks are very friendly and helpful. The only
Suggestion I have is to label your macaroons so that people don’t have to guess what the flavor is as the girl who helped us didn’t know all the flavors off hand.
We got 6 macaroons and they were incredible, the buttercream in each one was amazing. It was like eating a soft pillow of yummy. We got pumpkin spice, coffee, toasted coconut, lemon, pistachio and blackberry. I think my favorite was the coffee and lemon.
The staff was very friendly, I can’t wait to come back and try the food, it looked amazing.

I had a very pleasant experience here that will resonate greatly with me when referring people on a place to eat! I simply went to the pastry case for a croissant since I was in the area and have always wanted to try this place.
Before I even walked in, one of the waitresses was smiling from ear to ear at me and holding the door for me on her way back inside. Already, I was feeling welcomed despite how busy it was. When I got inside, I was helped by the efficient and insanely friendly pastry case employees. They got me my treats and had me on my way. All while extremely busy and a smile on their face. The only weird thing is the set up of the creamer bar for coffee. It’s right behind the cashier so you have people kind of all over the place.
I’m a born and raised Portlander and I can honestly say I didn’t expect to see what I feel embodies Portland’s original genuine friendliness in such a simple transaction. Can’t wait to try breakfast here.
