South Waterfront Dental

Echoing the other reviews, Dr. Beck and his team are awesome! Everyone is incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment you walk in the door, and I never had to wait more than 5 minutes after arriving. Dr. Beck takes time to chat with you and ask you how you’re doing. He’s also very patient and understanding. The office is nicely decorated, very warm and inviting. I initially chose South Waterfront Dental due to the fact that it’s one block away from my apartment, but even if I move away from the south waterfront, I’ll still keep Dr. Beck as my dentist.

I read great reviews online before coming to south waterfront dental and the reviews turned out to be very accurate! As a nurse, I’m picky with my health care and south water front was top notch. The whole staff is super friendly as well as efficient and effective. They also do great education and take time to explain everything they’re doing. Will be sticking with this dentist:)

So far so good! Went to see Dr Beck for the first time. The receptionist was super kind and welcoming, Tina took me back for some initial x-​rays and she was super nice, and then met Dr Beck and he was just as nice and welcoming as the rest of his staff. After not having a good experience with my previous dentist, I’m super happy to have found South Waterfront Dental! Until next time… :) thank you!

I had my first appointment with this place yesterday and was impressed with the staff, my hygienist and Dr. Beck himself.
The front office staff is friendly, efficient and courteous. My hygienist Kim was very detailed in her practice as well as professional. She explained what the plan for my appointment was upfront and what she was doing while I was getting my teeth examined.
DR.Beck came in briefly, but was sociable and also thorough with his exam. This office seems up to date with the latest technology in caring for your teeth and overall, the staff as a whole seems to enjoy their work environment and which is something I like to see.

I was seen on time and in a timely fashion, the office is clean and up to date with technology. I plan on staying on as a patient with this Dentist.

I recently moved into the South Waterfront area, so this place is right around the corner from where i live. Clean, new establishment. Very friendly staff. I came in for just a regular checkup but the hygienist did a very thorough job, talking me through each process, and giving some advice along the way for general maintenance. Overall very satisfied.

professional, clean, thorough, upscale, takes my insurance… what more could i ask for? so glad i made the switch from willamette dental group! :P

We were super impressed by Dr. Beck & team. Everyone was very courteous and professional. The cleanings that both me and the better half received were thorough but prompt; they certainly respected that we had other obligations that day and did their best to service us and send us on our happy little way. They set clear expectations as to the procedures and what insurance coverages we were afforded– no surprises! (Ie we performed that, oh btw insurance doesn’t cover it and you now owe us out of pocket).
We would highly recommend Dr. Beck & Team to family/​friends.

Did you know Dental Anxiety is a diagnosable phobia? Dr. Beck and the staff at South Waterfront Dental cured me of my dental fear ten years ago and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Carol and Christina at the front desk are always so warm and personable it’s a pleasure just walking in the front door. The small waiting room looks comfortable but I’ve never had to wait long enough to sit down. Kim is always so cheerful, gentle, and thorough and Dr. Beck is extremely knowledgeable and patient. No one has ever tried to sell me anything (though my teeth could probably use some whitening). Sorry for going on about the place; I just never imagined I’d look forward to visiting the dentist!

This is my new favorite dentist! Friendly, time efficient, clean and nice new equipment. For the first time, I can say, I love my dentist. :-)
Wait times are null, prices are good and they don’t push a bunch of stuff.

I will start this review by saying that I am an extreme dental phobic, afraid of nothing but the dentist… After having three appointments with Dr. Todd Beck and his assistant Tina, I feel that I am in very good hands. They are very professional, confident in their work, and cooperative with a rather difficult case of anxiety (that’s me!). Dr. Beck himself is a particularly warm person. I am impressed by the cleanliness of the office as well. Christine at the front desk is very nice. I like the dog behind the counter! So glad I found this office! I chose South Waterfront Dental because of its location and the good reviews I had heard from friends of mine that are patients there, and I am very happy I did! The staff are not only very friendly and talkative with wonderful, positive attitudes, but they are very well trained and answered all of the questions I had. The hygienist really spent time with me, not only on the cleaning, but talking about the dental problems or concerns I had and being sure to tell Dr. Beck when he came in for the exam. She also was quick with the x-​rays and they were very comfortable! I found Dr. Beck to be a very positive guy (despite how long it had been since my last trip to a dentist) and really genuine and caring as well as fast. The man does excellent work! Overall a great experience, and I would refer others to him in a heartbeat!

I chose to come to Dr. Beck’s office because we moved into the building across the street so the location was very convenient for me and my husband.
We have come in for both our cleanings, which went very well. The hygienists are very thorough and talked to you the whole time to A – not make you feel like you needed to talk and move your mouth around and B – to keep you focused on the sound of their voice and not the tools whirling around in your mouth… I really appreciated the latter to keep my anxiety levels down. Bonus, awesome goodie bag upon departure, it’s not just toothpaste samples and a toothbrush in a disposable plastic baggie… it’s an actually travel zip-​lock type of compact bag, plus the traditional toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, pen, and various other samples too.
I also had some chipping issues with one problematic tooth, Dr. Beck fixed it for me. twice (the second time, complimentary). He also adjusted my mouth guard to accommodate the new composite he added onto my tooth, then gave me a referral to a specialist should it become further bothersome based on any particular bite issues i may have.
He is thorough, and experienced, and has a great dental circle for contacts such as what he provided me. His staff is friendly, there’s never a wait so you get in and out of your appointments on time, and his lobby area is well stocked.
If you don’t live in the area though and are driving here, you’ll need to park at a meter. I think it’s about $ 1.60 per hour, but be sure to put in enough time because the meter-​patrol is pretty strict about expired permits.

New patient, went in for a cleaning and checkup. VERY friendly staff and a clean welcoming atmosphere. Dental team explained everything they did in detail so I really knew what was going on and how my teeth were doing. I’ve switched dentists many times and this was by far the best clinic. I plan to stick with them as long as possible. Will highly recommend to anyone seeking dental care!

Great Dentist office! Very nice and helpful!!! I actually don’t like the dentist, however, this place has put my mind at ease. They are thorough and sensitive to their patients needs. Highly recommend them!

This is a really excellent dental practice. My hygienist was super sweet & smart. She was fun to hang out with for an hour which normally is not the case when someone is probing the inside of your mouth. Dr. Morrow was very nice & a few days after my appointment I received a thank you letter hand signed by both Dr. Morrow & Dr. Beck. I mean… go the extra mile already! I am super impressed and would not think of going anywhere else.

These folks are so friendly, I always feel very comfortable coming to this dentist. They’re open late during the week and on Saturdays. Couldn’t ask for better service!

My coworker (who fears the dentist as much as I do) told me about Dr. Beck from Mt Tabor Dental, and says she absolutely LOVES him, so I had to check it out. I saw they opened a new office at the South Waterfront with a schedule that includes weekends and I was immediately sold.
Dr. Morrow and his staff made my dentist appointment very easy going and very comfortable. They seem very knowledgeable and understand my nervousness and fear about the dentist, and they put me at ease.
Thanks to them, I don’t fear having to go to the dentist anymore (even though it’s still not my favorite thing to do) :P
