History

Established in 1918.

Founder, Vern Wenger, started the business in downtown Portland, Oregon in 1918 selling wind-​up phonographs. Through three generations, we have been serving the Portland area in all things related to electronic home entertainment.

Currently located in Southwest Portland in the Raleigh Hills area.

We take great pride in offering superior customer service both before and long after a sale. Generations of our customers still come to Wengers for their audio and video needs.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Vern Wenger’s grandson, Randy, owns and manages Vern L. Wenger Company. He began working fulltime after college in 1973. He took over the business from his father, Robert Wenger, in 1991.

Like his grandfather and father before him, he believes in selling the best quality equipment at affordable prices. He will go out of his way to make sure the customer is well educated about a product before making a decision. There is more to picking out a TV these days than just what color the cabinet is. After a sale, if the customer has questions or needs assistance, he or his staff is ready to help.

Randy is married and has two daughters. They all enjoy skiing, sailing and hiking.
