The practice of Jonathan H. Do, DDS is a state-​of-​the-​art oral health boutique providing patients with the most appropriate, advanced and predictable oral care.

Dr. Do is a Board-​Certified Periodontist, who specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal (gum) diseases and peri-​implant diseases, and in the surgical placement of dental implants to replace teeth that are missing or cannot be saved.

Dr. Do is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Periodontics at the UCLA School of Dentistry, who teaches dental students and residents two and a half days a week when he is not at his Practice in Poway.

Dr. Do received his undergraduate, dental and postgraduate education from UCLA. Upon graduation from dental school, he entered a rigorous 1-​year postgraduate training program in advanced education in general dentistry (AEGD), where he received extensive education and experience in restorative and implant dentistry. Following AEGD, he entered a prestigious 3-​year postgraduate specialty training program in periodontics and implant surgery at UCLA where only two doctors are accepted each year.

Upon graduation from specialty training, Dr. Do was recruited to join the faculty in Periodontics at the UCLA to teach dental students and residents full-​time. While teaching has been extremely rewarding and fulfilling for Dr. Do, clinical periodontics and patient care remain his passions. In July 2015, Dr. Do reduced his teaching at UCLA to 50% and started his practice in Poway, CA. He is excited and eager to help patients keep their teeth healthy and functional for the rest of their lives.
