On The Move USA

I recently completed a move that required significant coordination of multiple parties in a short period of time, including navigating very strict requirements from the building. Frank and Naomi were great – went «far above and beyond» in several ways to help ensure the move got done and got done well. The delivery crew was also great – courteous, hard-​working and very nice guys.
There is no question that I will ask On the Move USA to help me in the future, and I will recommend them to everyone.

I used this company because of Uhaul. The guys who came over were fast, efficient and very respectful. I was worried about them packing the Ubox but these guys were truly professionals. I had a mirror that I was especially worried about and they packed it so well that after a 7 day trip across the country– the mirror arrived in tact! Thanks!!!

Frank and Maurice from On The Move USA provided the best possible service when helping to move me out of a 4^th-​floor walkup and into a UHaul UBox. Frank was communicative and informative in the days before the move, and helped me to navigate the very fragmented and confusing UHaul/​MovingHelp system.
On the day of the move, Frank and Maurice showed up on time and worked incredibly hard to fit the contents of our 1-​BR apartment into a single UBox. This included packing and re-​packing the UBox to accommodate our fragile and oddly-​shaped items. The final result was a tightly and carefully packed UBox, which saved us from having to rent and move a second UBox. AND they did all this (on a hot day) while maintaining high energy and good cheer, making a stressful move day much more pleasant for everyone involved.

Due to a set of unfortunate circumstances, I had to schedule a same day move recently.
Naomi and On The Move USA were fantastic and came through for me in every way. Naomi really jumped through hoops to make my move happen with only about 3 hours notice. She obtained a certificate of insurance, offered helpful advice about the Uhaul u-​box service and communicated quickly, accurately and gracefully.
The moving service itself was prompt, careful and efficient (thanks, Frank & Mike!).
I would certainly use On The Move USA again and will recommend them to anyone who asks!

We used a U-​Box service (U-​Haul plus MovingHelp) and hired On The Move USA to load everything into the container. Frank and Manny were fantastic. Showed up early, walked through and planned everything first. They were very careful with our stuff and respectful of building & neighbors. Very careful about blankets, wrapping everything. Frank is fantastic communicator, careful and smart. Also, quite efficient in packing things tight to maximize space & safety. I’ve done a lot of moves — this is best ever! When I spoke to Naomi a week ahead of time, she was patient, smart, communicative — helped us plan and be prepared. HIGHLY recommended!

Naomi in the office who handled all communications right from the time of jotting down the inventory to be moved to the rate negotiation till I was charged after the move, she is a thorough professional and expert in what she does. Not many of the top rated movers have such expertise as Naomi. Naomi was also prompt in sending my landlords the certificate of insurance which was one of the critical documents that both my landlords required. Frank who is on the field agent that does the move with another helper is another expert in his own right — within minutes of his arrival, I could trust him with the entire move with least need for supervision. On the move USA absolutely did not waste any time just to prolong the move to charge me more, instead they moved so quickly as if they had other better things to do after my move. They were as cautious as if they were moving their own things. On the move USA is neither cheap nor pricey in my opinion — they charge just about right depending on how big or small the move is unlike most of their competitors who charge a hourly and flat rate irrespective of whether your move is small or big. I would say my move was small to medium — the only criticism if at all I have to say is that one of the other helpers that came with Frank accidentally dropped my 4 shelf organizer that made one of its 4 wheels to break. frank tried his best to fix it but apologized since he couldnt. He suggested to buy a pair of wheels for 40 bucks in any store. Also I had to call frank the following day sine I did not see one of the items after the move, he was patient enough to answer my call and told me exactly where he had even kept the item in my new house.
If you were ever confused which mover should you hire and had no prior experience with movers, close your eyes and go with on the move USA. I am sure they’ll make your life a lot easier and make the move less taxing on you physically and emotionally.

I recently used a UBox service and hired On The Move USA to load everything I had into the container. These guys were awesome let me tell ya. They got here early, loaded everything really quick and made sure all my furniture had moving blankets on them. They were really helpful and nice. Can’t say enough about them. Highly recommend!

I recently moved from NY to LA and had to pack my entire apt. You can imagine how stressful this was and how I dreaded moving day. On The Move somehow made this process so amazingly low stress and I am so grateful to them. Everything from the first phone call to the last box being loaded was handled professionally. Whenever I had a question, Naomi in the office was always very friendly and helpful. And the movers Brian and Mike arrived right on time and immediately set me at ease. They came completely prepared with blankets and multiple hand trucks and they were friendly, fast, efficient, and careful. And they let me know right away that I had miscalculated the number of UBoxes I would need and I was able to immediately order an extra box with UHaul; this required On The Move to schedule extra time with me and they did this with no problems. I can’t thank Brian and Mike enough — they stopped to explain anything I had questions about and they were so organized and systematic in how they packed my things and they were so careful with my breakables. This was the biggest yet easiest move I’ve ever had and I owe it all to them — thank you!!!

Phenomenal service!!! I called On The Move USA for a last minute long distance move from two separate locations (New York and Boston) down to North Carolina. Frank very carefully and efficiently loaded all my belongings from the New York location into the moving truck, then took the 4 hour drive to Boston where he again loaded the truck, and subsequently drove directly to Charlotte. All of our belongings were delivered to our new home the following day! Nothing was lost or scratched. This was truly incredible service at a very affordable price and I couldn’t be happier!

I hired Frank because he was the most expensive and I believed he would be the best because of it. His initial communication with me was stellar. Frank promised to call my son to arrange delivery. He never did. I called Frank again when the UBox was said to have arrived in Brooklyn. He apologized and said he would call my son immediately. My son ended up calling Naomi, who I suppose is Frank’s scheduler or receptionist in the office. She was polite, and rescheduled the shipment for an earlier delivery. Problem was, the UBox hadn’t actually arrived to where Frank the Mover picks it up (even though the UHaul site said it had been there for three days) so the delivery was settled on with Naomi for the original date at 1PM. And on that date, while out walking my dog at 9AM, my cell phone starts going crazy with calls from one of Frank’s helpers saying he was twenty minutes from my son’s apartment. I was not at home but my wife finally answered my phone and began attempts to contact our son so the delivery fellows wouldn’t waste their time. Frank was supposed to call my son, not me. His helpers did not have his number. Naomi did as she called my son a few times, only she didn’t give the helpers his number. Long story short I finally got a hold of my son, he called the helpers, and met them at his apartment. Here is where things go further south. The shipment looked good, but when the expensive dining table arrived upstairs to the apartment it was scratched and dented. I have pics. Frank takes no responsibility for this and maintains my son is a liar, that my moving help «packers» loaded the table wrong, and the damage occurred during shipment. Frank is a bully (though he would have you believe I am). Uhaul pretty much sucks as well because I purchased insurance for the shipment and there is nowhere on their site to file a claim. A lot of good insurance does. I write emails and get nowhere. So basically, be forewarned when it comes to hiring Frank the Mover, who says he is a top notch carpenter too. You are on your own. As for my son, the shipment was for him, and included our household furniture we no longer needed and knew he could use. He is a professional who does not like to be bothered with petty things, and Frank and his helpers later calling him about the damage made him quite irritable. Frank told me my son said everything was all right. What that meant was, «take it up with my father I do not have time for this». So instead of Frank solving my problem, or even being polite about it, he gets condescending and preachy. Frank is obviously delusional, a real-​time bully, and cares little for his customer’s satisfaction.

Epic fail by Frank & Naomi. Assured movers would be there or I would have gone w/​another because of tight deadlines. I had to track Frank down when they were a no-​show. Two men finally appeared 2 + hours late on a Friday afternoon. Frank had failed to properly schedule us and had dismissed all his men at noon. stress. Never called us back or came by as promised to «fix» the situation. Sending 4 guys immediately would have shown some understanding of the nightmare we were experiencing. BE FOREWARNED… DO NOT USE ON THE MOVE USA.

I used multiple different U-​Haul «Moving Helpers» in the past and had great experiences, so I decided to use the service again for my latest move. I selected On The Move USA, and the service they provided was terrible and unprofessional. The move was scheduled to begin at 8 AM, and the movers didn’t arrive until almost 9 AM (1 Hour Late). During this hour, the coordinator Frank, would not answer his cellphone, nor respond to any text messages. You can imagine how stressful that is when you are moving, and paying for a U-​Haul truck by the hour. The movers also did not come with any tools, so who knows how they expected to take my furniture apart. Thankfully, I had tools close by and could supply them. When moving out of my current apartment, my Mom had to tell the mover to fill up the elevator first with boxes before sending it down. The mover wanted to take 1 box down at a time! No wonder they like to charge by the hour. My past U-​Haul Movers hustled and tried to get the move done as fast as possible. One of the movers even asked if I could find my charger so he could charge his phone as he moved! Additionally, I spent extra money to purchase furniture pads from U-​Haul to wrap my furniture in. None of them were even used, and my furniture arrived at my new apartment scratched and beat up. I thought wrapping furniture prior to packing it in a truck was an understood step in moving, but I guess with On the Move, you have to ask them to even do that. One of my furniture pieces also arrived to my new apartment broken, and needed to be thrown out. Not only did On the Move make my moving experience slow, stressful, and frustrating, it cost me extra money for the furniture I now need to replace. Do yourself a favor, and hire a different mover!

This is the third time we’ve used On the Move and each time they’ve been true pros. Took real care packing the truck, made sure to move valuable and fragile items slowly and carefully. Pleasant to deal with every step of the way. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

Moving is extremely stressful and Frank and his team made it as easy and as stress-​free as possible. Moving from out of state, my belongings were in a POD, in storage, the POD people were hours late and Frank and his team stuck around and didn’t complain. Frank and his team found a place for the truck on the street and moved everything efficiently and professionally. I highly recommend him and would use his service again if I ever move (hope not!)

This is the second time we’ve used Frank and his crew. They did such a great job at a great value helping my elderly mother move about 3 weeks ago, that we decided to utilize their services again. Again, they pulled through in a professional manner. I called Frank the day before, and he did the work on that short notice. He picked up a sofa I had in Brooklyn, and then went to the Uhaul in Woodside Queens to pick up some furniture that I had in storage, then drove 120 miles into Pennsylvania to deliver and unload everything. Despite the bad weather they still made it all the way to PA! Thanks alot again! We will definitely work with On the Move, USA again in the future.

I’ll be honest. I didn’t get to use Frank’s services because the management of the building I’m moving into were quite frustratingly unreachable in the timeframe I needed to hear from them to approve Frank and his crew. Despite that, and leading up to it, Frank and Naomi were both extremely helpful in trying everything to figure out how we could make the move happen and go smoothly.
In the end Frank was willing to reschedule the move from Friday to whenever it could get approved, drive out to Paterson, NJ (which is technically outside his operating range!) the morning the management’s voicemail said they’d be available and call from there to get the move approved and proceed.
Side note: the UBoxes should not have been in Paterson in the first place since we are moving to Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. In addition to the insanely finicky and unavailable building management, this was another obstacle Frank and Naomi helped me navigate… and for what it’s worth, Felicia at Uhaul was extremely helpful and understanding in trying to remedy the situation once it dropped on her desk.
When I finally had to cancel on Frank he understood why I needed to get the move done asap and said he wished he could have done more!
I was really impressed, and am still a little sorry for the headache I must have given Naomi with my barrage of emails.

I hate the process of moving, but the two men Frank sent to move my whole apartment into a truck was done effortless and efficent. I believe in supporting small business owners so i would reccommend these guys anytime.

We moved our stuff using two pods (U-​Boxes) from San Diego to Brooklyn this summer. We had a TERRIBLE experience getting double billed, etc, you name it, with UHaul, and it was so nice to have On the Move USA as the last step of the process. Frank and Brian unloaded our boxes and brought them into the apartment quickly, safely, and so politely. Then, two weeks later, we found the couch we love at Costco, nearby on 3^rd avenue, which was way too big to get into my little car. My husband called Frank, who fit our last-​minute request in and gave us a great deal on a local transport. We will definitely be using On the Move USA for the next move! Thank you guys.

Best mover I’ve ever had! Very fast, efficient, on time, and not expensive! They charge less than a lot Chinatown movers. They have insurance so easily get into any luxury rental buildings.
So highly recommend them!

After a week’s delay of promised delivery and much frustration with Uhaul (shocking, I know), Frank and his crew saved the day! He called back promptly, delivered the Ubox
as promised … all with a pleasant attitude and great customer service.
