I’ve been going to this place for over 12 years, even before the current owner took over. When I moved away from the area for a few years I would always try to time my visits to Redding with when I needed a new haircut because this is the only barber shop I trust. I can walk in and the barber will remember how I like my hair cut and always does an excellent job without my ever having to say anything. He’s extremely friendly and very skilled; my average cut time is about 10 minutes and leaves me with a look I can be proud of. It’s walk-in only but even if there’s a small line you won’t have to wait for long.

One chair shop across from the Liquor Barn. Bill is the barber. He’s been there for a hundred years and so this is an old time place. No appointments, of course. Closed Saturdays and maybe Monday’s. Take a seat read Field and Stream Chat with other customers and Bill while you’re waiting. This is guy place, a clipper place, none of that fancy scissors only place. No shampoo. You can give him careful directions on how you want your hair cut and more or less that is what you get. I go there because I got really tired of paying $ 30, it reminds me of when I was a kid going to a shop like this one, and it’s only nine bucks. And the cut looks the same on me no matter what I pay. This is a perfectly fine haircut.
