Outstanding and cheap. Laotian and Vietnamese soups are very good. The traditional Thai fare is as good(or better) than anywhere else in town. Location is dicey, but that’s a small price to pay for decent food around these parts.

Best flavor. Fresh shrimp and a good cuts of meat. Seems to me Great sauces not overpowering with sugar. Inviting presentation. Always very friendly service and never takes too long for carry out. Clean not oily. Thanks for being in Redding

Saw the great Unilocal reviews so we stopped in with our daughter for dinner. It smelled good as walked in and the waitress was kind. She was very busy working all the tables solo, and made time to ask how things were and if we needes anything. She’s a pro! We ordered rolls and coconut shrimp appetizers. Both were great, and the rolls came with two sauces. The peanut was my favorite! Food was great and very flavorful!

Previously reviewed this place but wanted to update my thoughts. A fair warning to any who usually like a MEDIUM spice level on their food. Do not ask for this. Do not get any spice. Last time we were here the MEDIUM was firey hot and inedible. You can always add your own from the condiment tray they provide, but cannot take away. Inconsistent with spice and service.

Excellent food… was just up here visiting from San Diego, and I wish we had as good a Thai restaurant in all of San Diego! I was surprised when friends took us here, the atmosphere and exterior are not what you would expect from an excellent Thai restaurant, but the chef was top notch and the four of us had dishes that we all thought were amazing! Definitely give this place a try!(their prices were great too.)

We were driving down Hwy 273, trying to decide where to go for dinner, and saw Rose Garden. We checked Unilocal, saw the good reviews, and decided to give it s try. I am so glad we did! The food is excellent, some of the best Thai I’ve had in the Northstate. The chicken sate was very flavorful, and was served with peanut sauce and a fresh, crunchy cucumber salad. All of the vegetables served were fresh and tasty. The pork egg roll were crispy and not greasy. The Tom Kae soup had a wonderful blend of flavors. I appreciated that the bean sprouts and chopped peanuts were put next to the Pad Thai on the plate, so we could add the amount we wanted. We loved the Garlic Shrimp. There was a lot of garlic in the sauce, but it was not overpowering and the flavor of the shrimp came through. The shrimp was a little messy, as it was cooked in the shell and needed to be peeled, but so worth it. Great service, and the prices were reasonable. We will definitely be back!

Hands down the best drunken noodles in town. I ordered with every intention of only eating half and saving the other half for the next day, but I couldn’t stop. Incredible!

I took my mom here for lunch. Service was fast and the food was excellent — fresh veggies, well seasoned and good vegetarian options. I think they weren’t expecting such a huge weekday lunch crowd, though, because there was only one server for the whole place. She hustled and kept up with the rush. It was packed, so that must be a good sign.

Holy crap. This place must be real deal, cause my «medium spicy» Thai dish was fire hot! Even though we were planning on phở for lunch, once I saw chicken larb was on the menu, I had to go for that instead. I asked for medium spicy, thinking they’d go «white girl medium» for me, but no, it was definitely Thai medium! It was very tasty, but on fire, like I said! My boyfriend ordered the large beef combo phở(his eyes are always bigger than his stomach), while his mom and sister each got medium chicken phở. They all smelled good, but I didn’t try theirs. At the end, we got mangoes and sticky rice, which was good, but the mangoes weren’t very ripe. Anyway, I thought it was a good meal and I would definitely come back again. Also, they give one free refill for thai iced teas! Never see that anywhere!

It’s alright like most of the food in this area. Waiter wasn’t too attentive. It was cool to try, but I won’t return. Lacking freshness and flavor in my opinion.

Excellent dinner! Had Satay Chicken appetizer, Rose Garden Phở, Orange Chicken, Salmon Mango Paradise, and Panang Talay. All wonderful flavors, great service, and super prices. Have enjoyed numerous meals here and all have been very good. Heat can be adjusted to your liking.

Excellent family restaurant with lots of choices on the menu. I usually get the Phở as it’s my favorite dish to eat anywhere usually, but their different curries are tasty and the mango sticky rice is a nice dessert.

Stopped by and had the papaya salad, crispy pad thai and red curry. All of it was nice size portions and tasted great. Also ordered thai tea to drink which came with 1 free refill. The papaya salad was nice and spicy just the way it should be. The crispy pad thai was a change of pace but very nice. The red curry was good with nice moist chicken. Worth soppy by again if in area.

This is hands down the best value for truly GREAT Thai food in Redding. I have never been disappointed here and especially like the fact that they remember us when we come in. The cook comes out frequently to greet us and we try to communicate with about 50% success. Everything is amazing here! My favorite is the Basil Catfish!

I’ve eaten here many times before and the food and service has been good. I’d say 3.5÷5 stars good. But this last week was BAD, yes that’s ALLCAPS bad. Here’s the scoop: My buddy and I walked in around 5 pm and the waitress said that their AC was broken. There was only one other group eating so we didn’t mind. We both order a large bowl of beef phở. I ate A LOT of phở and know what a good soup is. The easiest way to tell if it’s made well is the quality of the broth. This soup tastes way over salted due to using beef bouillon cubes instead of slowly simmering real beef stock. I really dislike it when restaurants cut corners like this. The bowl was mainly noodles and broth; very little meat despite being the large bowl. Ok that warrants a 2 star review, but here comes the kicker… About ¾ of the way through our meal, a large group of teenage girls come in who clearly knew the waitresses. They strike up a very loud conversation which annoys the other patrons and us as well. It’s unprofessional for the staff to socialize with their friends to the point of disrupting their customers. But that’s not the kicker! A few minutes after their friends come in, guess what? The AC magically starting working again! What a coincidence! NOT. Now that’s a joke. Rose Garden has just lost two customers for good. There’s a lot of other Thai/Phở places in Redding. I recommend you take your hard earned $$$ to a place with higher quality food and treats their all their customers with respect. You deserve it.
