Fahsye

I’m so happy I discovered Fahsye, even if my wallet disagrees. Of course, I purchased said wallet there, so I fail to see the problem. As a jewelry junkie and overall cute shop lover, Fahsye is one of my favorite new stores to stop into.
Fahsye is a literal mom and pop shop, owned by a family (their daughter is frequently in-​store), so you know exactly who is behind the operations. I appreciate knowing where my money is going, so it’s one more reason to visit. The location is right near North Winton and Blossom, a neighborhood that might seem like an unusual location at first, but is the perfect home for a boutique. There’s nothing else like it in the neighborhood right now, so there’s no reason to skip it. Yes, parking is on the street, but there’s almost always a close spot nearby. Now, I’m the type of person who appreciates solid off-​street parking, so the fact that I brave street parking to visit Fahsye speaks volumes.
I originally sought out Fahsye for the Rochester themed jewelry, and stayed for so much more. I was on the prowl for the transit token jewelry, and I found a necklace with a silver token that is now one of my favorite pieces. Following that discovery, I added the bamboo skyline necklace to my collection. No matter where I end up in life, I have these cute necklaces to remind me of home, and telling someone your necklace is made out of an old transit token always gets you a «where did you get that???» in return. Other key finds included a Verona Street charity bangle, which made the perfect birthday present for a dog-​loving friend, and the aforementioned wallet.
In addition to the jewelry, there is a wide selection of scarves and bags. These three categories seem to be the best representations of what Fahsye is all about: tying your outfit together. The prices are good for accessories, but if you’re like me, your bill can add up because you just want everything. But is that really so bad?
If you haven’t visited Fahsye yet, what are you waiting for? Plan some time to stop by and see for yourself. You’ll be glad you did, I know I am, even if my jewelry collection is now completely out of control.

I love Fahsye! I did a ton of Christmas shopping there this past year and everyone loved their gifts. I gave a few friends the Rochester city logo necklaces, which I love (and they loved them too!). My boyfriend gave me the super cool and unique city skyline necklace, which is laser cut bamboo. They actually were all out when he went to purchase it, but they were kind enough to laser cut more so they’d have one ready for him to pick up the next day!
I’ve also purchased a few scarves here. I love my antique world map scarf! I got a purple elephant scarf for my boyfriend’s mom, too. Prices are all relatively reasonable.
The owners are very friendly and helpful whenever you stop into the shop. Definitely worth visiting to pick up some unique, thoughtful gifts, especially if you have a Roc lover in your life!

I recently visited Fahsye in search of Rochester memorabilia for a few friends, and quickly settled on the Rochester cuff links and city skyline necklace with the Douglass/​Anthony bridge overlay. BTW, they love the items!
Upon purchasing the items, I ended up in the midst of a friendly conversation with the owners and staying to close.
Overall, I enjoyed every part of my experience and will gladly return for future gift shopping.

Sooo, I paid Fahsye a visit 2 days in a row… so anything under 5 stars would make me a fat hypocrite: D
I heard of Fahsye through a friend on IG and fellow Unilocaler Naz B. When I saw pictures of what cute Roc City love jooree they had snagged, I immediately pulled up Fahsye’s online store. My eyes caught on the menu item «ROC Jewelry» and clicked clicked clicked.
The most precious wrist adornment peaked my interest. I was instantly enamored by the «Rochester Transit Token Charm Bangle». Not sure if anyone is familiar with the old school RTC/​RTS tokens. I used to get them from school every time I had after school activities with no ride home. To come across such a piece to commemorate the «old ways» is very nostalgic for me and think it’s pure genius.
It should also be said that my taste is not trend driven. Whenever I am in the market for something it’s out of necessity, change or interest. I go for things that catch my eye and feel comfortable in. If I am trendy, it’s purely accidental. Example, I bought an army green parka with a fur hood as part of a Halloween costume (Helena from Orphan Black). Little did I know it was going to become part of the new hipster/​basic b**** uniform. (sorry if anyone is offended, I still wear mine and don’t care, teehee) HAVING added all of that, these bangles are reminiscent of another «type» of trendy bangle. But the uniqueness behind it made me run out and get 2! I should also mention that my coworker made a comment that I can not attest to. Apparently, my bangles are more sturdy and of better quality than those «other» ones trending…
I made a suggestion today about possible charms and the owners said if it can be made, they can add them to my current bangles. As all things Rochester, my mind went to FOOD! So I inquired about pizza charms and… garbage plates. I mean, how much more authentic can that get? I really hope they can create one! *fingers, toes and knees crossed*
No matter how much we complain about the weather, local government or pot holes, Roc City is still home… even for those of us that live outside the city nowadays. This is a fall in love with 585 (FORMERLY 716!) all over again piece that I will cherish and hope not to lose… ever!

I shopped at this store when I lived right around the corner. I had walked my roommates dog past it several times, but finally decided to come back and check it out — glad I did! Their jewelry is great. It’s all costume, but there is something for everyone. You could go with your friends, neighbors, mom, and grandmother and all of you would leave with something that you love and that fits your style perfectly.
What keeps me coming back is the fact that I don’t see these pieces anywhere else in our area — I’m never wearing the same necklace as anyone else. And when a lot of products are sold around $ 20 — $ 80, you really can’t go wrong. Especially when the shop owners are so engaging, helpful, and appreciative.
It’s definitely worth it to stop in!

I’ve been meaning to visit Fahsye for months now as I live right in the neighborhood, but have always driven by because it’s on the opposite side of the road to where I’m heading. Thursday I decided to stop in. I thought it was a very cute shop for gift giving, which I love to do. I bought a necklace made from a Rochester School Fare token. I’ve purchased those coins before and had them made into necklaces, but haven’t been able to get my hands on the school fare token, so I was pleased to see that ready to wear! The owner’s husband was there, and he was very helpful and had his adorable daughter who greeted me with a smile. He said that his wife imports a lot of items from her native Thailand. I hope to see this store thrive since it’s somewhat in my neighborhood.

I finally paid a visit to Fahsye. After driving by almost daily and curious to take a peek at their selection, my friend and I took a walk to explore the neighborhood. Our last stop was Fahsye. They have tons of cute scarves, lots of jewelry, ties and wallets for the gents, plus a range of handbags and purses.
The beaded necklaces and earrings were among my favorites in the shop. Great pieces to update your wardrobe for the new season — so many beautiful bright colors like turquoise, bold red statement pieces, etc ($ 10-​$ 30 price range). My fave find was the beaded and threaded hoop earrings. In the back-​ish area, they have gorgeous sterling silver earrings and necklaces ($ 40-​$ 150 price range). A lot of the pieces they carry are from designers based in Thailand.
Worth a stop for affordable accessories. I’ll be revisiting to restock on jewelry and scarves.

Little accessory boutique located in the N. Winton neighborhood. They carry jewelry, mostly imported from Thailand (owner is Thai) that is unique and eclectic.
They also carry handbags, belts, scarves and men’s wallets. I like the stores layout and overall appearance. I don’t care much for the products as they’re not my taste and a little too mainstream.
I also think the stores window display could be better. I’m a sucker for a good window display. They had words saying «handbags», «gifts», «jewelry» typed on white paper & laminated hanging in the display.

Fahsye is an adorable neighborhood shop right on Winton that carries unique jewelry and fashion accessories. They have items you won’t find anywhere else in Rochester, so you know your gift or personal treat will stand out. They wrap gifts in the most adorable blue boxes with ribbons and gift cards. The owners are super friendly and helpful. It’s great to see this wonderful giftshop in the growing North Winton Neighborhood!

A great spot for truly unique fashion accessories, handbags, and jewelry.
