AJ was born in Sherman, Texas, but grew up in Round Rock, Texas, just north of Austin. He was raised by his mother and father alongside his older sister, who is currently a Realtor in Dallas. AJ resides in Kyle, Texas with his loving wife Kayla who teaches/​coaches at Lockhart Middle School.

Before AJ began his career in real estate, he attended the University of Texas @ Austin where he studied Youth and Community Studies, and played collegiate basketball. He left UT to pursue professional basketball in Europe, Italy, Greece and Czech Republic for four years, which only further diversified his background. In 2013, AJ returned to Austin to complete his academic career where he received his undergraduate degree. After graduation, AJ began a career in sales, which lead him to real estate. Acquiring skills such as hard work, determination and ability to connect with people from all walks of life continue to help him succeed and make him a valuable resource.
