Just enjoyed another wonderful shopping experience at Ace Hardware in Greenhaven. Beto was wonderful. He fixed the problem with our stapple gun, showed me how to load it properly and asked questions. Spent time… I didnt feel rushed. I liked that.
Garry was wonderful as usual. He always gives great plant tips!
If you are a biginner in gardening, like myself, Garry is always willing to answer all of my questions, and offers excellent suggestions… Always with a smile.
Dan rung me up. He was also friendly. Cut my bag to the perfect size for the basil I purchased. Didn’t oversale and carried himself with a super pleasant disposition.

I love this hardware store, and the guys who work there. They are so helpful when it comes to home improvement projects, and very knowledgeable about every little thing in the store and more! Recently, they’ve had nice holiday music on in the store as well. The only minor irritation I’ve had is when I occasionally have to return something within their seven-​day window. I only have to do it about twice a year, and even though the item is repacked very carefully or sometimes even un-​opened as I did not need it for the project, I always sense a little attitude and irritation at the request. This is the only area that Home Depot has over Greenhaven. Their servers are always happy to help you with returns, which will be a given for any retail store, especially one where people are working on projects that are not always 100% predictable in terms of supplies.

I saw an AD for Ace Hardware and it brought memories from when I was a kid working in one of these. Lol. This particular location is on my way home from work so I decided to venture in.
This hardware store is smaller than most I’ve been to. It looks like they’ve managed to fit every department in here, though. They have paint, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, tools, housewares, etc.
Sounds like they have great weekly sales. The people working here are great, too. I was greeted immediately as I stepped in. We also had a brief chat while checking out. Very personable. It makes me feel at home. Lol.
Since the store is so small you won’t be able to find aisles of closet organizers or huge aisles of lawn furniture. However, if you’re handy and needing plumbing repairs or electrical… this place has it! They have the basics and more. Pest control to yard work stuff to mixing paint for your home. Every neighborhood needs a hardware store!!!

Ace hardware is always a good place to go for friendly and efficient service. Came to the store to make a key and was able to be in and out of the place with in five minutes of my arrival.
They pretty much will always have what you need or are looking for, and then some extras too. Recommend going to ace for your friendly neighborhood hardware store.

I love having a neighborhood hardware store. It was sad when Robbie Water’s store closed in the area.
The staff is always so friendly and helpful.
Have good sales and seem to usually have the ad items in stock.

just had an awful experience w/​a clerk. Had to drag him out from behind the counter to help me, than he wanted me to buy a foot of contact paper that was obviously mangled at the end, and not cut that part off for me since it was scrap. I wanted to buy 3 yrds of it and he refused the sale over a few cents .I asked him why would I want to buy part damaged product? Then he sarcastically just stood there and kept smiling his fake smile but wouldn’t budge on the issue. I couldn’t believe the attitude on this
unprofessional!!l. I told him he had no business being in customer service and he just said,“yeah, lady, see ya” OMG I was appalled and felt this guy was getting his kicks off being a wiseass. I will never shop there again, which is a shame because I like to support smaller stores. More like Ace– the Unfriendly place.

The people here are so nice. They are really helpful. They don’t bug you or try and hound you about this and that. Also, being a girl, im used to the guys at hardware places or mechanics or whatever treating me like i have no idea what im doing, they dont do that. I guess you could say they treat me like one of the guys. No body pesters me and when i ask them where something is they dont try and show me what they think i really need.
There is an older gentleman who works here who is dynamite. He is the best! I really cannot say enough good things about him. He goes above and beyond with whatever you ask of him. He looked all over for a particular screw for me once. And let me just say; they have a lot. He found it though. :)
Way better than home depot where they are rude and you can never find anything.

A great local hardware store. It’s much smaller then Home Depot, which is nice because you can actually find things. The prices are pretty comparable to the larger hardware stores. The service is helpful and friendly. I’ve never had a problem finding what I need here.

A great spot for the quick home improvement needs. When you don’t have time to go to one of the big chains or just need a key made, this is your place. You pay a little more for convenience but sometimes it is worth it. It’s nice to support a local mom and pop type store in the neighborhood.

If you need to pay $ 10 for what ought to cost $ 4 and deal with grumpy cashiers this is the greatest hardware store ever. I can get the same apathy at Home Depot but actually spend the $ 4 instead of $ 10.
Worst hardware store I have ever set foot inside & I won’t be back ever again regardless of the fact that it’s two blocks from my home.

I think I got my keys copied here 4 times and they only got it right once. I thought I would be nice and gave them a 4th try, but I was fooling myself this time again. I even asked the guy to take a look at it to confirm because the keys were not measuring up correctly. «Don’t worry, it will fit. It’s not the first keys I’ve copied.» And of course, it did not fit. Also, on my visit to return the keys, I told the guy that I wanted to return the keys because I have been having a bad experience here with keys. He gave me a wiseass remark, by repeating what I said «bad experience.» What the hell do you expect for not copying keys right? Wasting my time, gas, and money. So a 1 star for not copying keys right for the 4th time and the wiseass remark for a business that depends on their local customers.

This store feels like a mom and pop shop from back in the day. Honestly, I don’t even know why they waste their time with the «Ace» part of the name because it certainly doesn’t feel like any sort of chain store.
I’ve always gotten great, helpful service. No one hovers while you’re looking around, but you always feel like if you had a question, they’d immediately help you. My family swears by this place and they come here first before heading over to Home Depot. Good selection of products without being over– or underwhelming and the service rocks.

Tough to rate this business any higher than a ‘one’ when they can’t even cut the correct type of key for a standard front door lock, but luckily, they apologized for messing up and cut a new key free of charge. If you allow me to choose the key and I tell you what it’s for, it’s not my job to determine whether or not it’s the appropriate key for the lock.
So yeah, there’s your other star. Cheers.

Amazing neighborhood hardware store! I have never cringed at their prices and they have good sales and coupons. The staff, in addition to being incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, is filled with silver foxes and cute younger guys.
I’ve purchased a Weber grill, light bulbs, assorted nuts and screws, and random other household stuff there. Ace Hardware Greenhaven is so much nicer to shop at than the nasty orange warehouse.
