Buyer remorse. I wished I never did business with Unisun Solar. Signed up July 2015, didn’t get installed until Nov 2015 and power wasn’t turned on until Jan 2016. Lies, broken promises, the worse customer service you can imagine. I wasn’t so upset because I thought my rate was locked in(even with the delays). Their advertising states saving start immediate, upon signing the agreement. Unisun will rebate the difference between your actual electric bill versus what the«Unisun rate» would be. Of course they did not honor this advertising.

The sales guy came to our house, was very professional and we went for the deal because we understand solar and the benefits. What a complete nightmare with installation and service after the fact. I could write a very long negative review but I will instead just let you know that Unisun isn’t a real company. They are just the contractor that installs for Sunnova. Unisun doesn’t care about anything but installing and if they ever tell you they will call you back don’t believe it. It’s been the worst customer service I have ever had. I have worked customer service 10+ years and I can tell you if I ever treated one of my customers the way Unisun treated me I would have been fired. Stay away from Unisun. You can do better with just about anyone else.

Unisun is the best solar provider you could ask for. Their panels are made in the U.S. unlike other brands and they have a zero down for both leasing and buying. On top of all that, they do fundraising events for children in need. View the link —

Unisun Solar has no business license — they are listed under syntrol I see two people said good things about them… go to the contractors board to this link… type in the business name Unisun Solar — YOU will not find it because they use a ficticious name under a different business license… I just want to warn all of you — maybe your team did a good job and I hope they got you the permits you needed… cus if you are not permitted they will most likely make them take the job down again — get permits and start all over. License Number 728304 Contractor Name SYNTROLPLUMBINGELECTRICALHEATING&AIR Complaint # N P 201412772 Date 08/03/2015 Status REFERREDTOLEGALACTION Case N 2015176 see the license number? that was on my contract = but they send me a mousepad with Unisun Solar — with the license number from Syntrol This license filed a Contractor’s Bond with HUDSONINSURANCECOMPANY. Bond Number: 30006320 Bond Amount: $ 12,500 Effective Date: 08/26/2015 Contractor’s Bond History They are bonded for $ 12.500 when our job was over $ 40,000 They have multiple complaints with the State Contractors board for working without a permit — for… well you read it yourself. Do not be tricked — do not trust them — they scheduled our job on Tuesday — the Friday prior I went to see how much the permits were going to cost and they had not even put any paperwork in. The company sent me to the attorney — I was wanting it to just go away until the company — phone answer says Unisun solar — not syntrol like the contract — they called me a liar and claimed that they could go to the county and apply for a permit and wait to get it the same day. sorry the iink is long but should send you right to the complaint/violation site. Each link is a new complaint…

I can’t believe the savings I get. I had the best sales people and didn’t have to do a thing. This is definitely the company of our future. Love my savings on my bill too!!!

From the day Omar, the sales rep., knocked on my door to the day they flipped on the switch, it has been nothing but a great experience. I knew I wanted to go solar, but did not know much about my options. I just knew that it was a commitment that I did not want to take lightly. Omar set me up with his partner Darrell who was very thorough about every option they offered, and explained to us why the purchase option made more sense than the leasing option for our situation. I explained that I wanted to look into all the options and take some time to decide. The meeting was very informative and Darrell did not apply any pressure in making a sale. My wife and I invited three other solar companies over the span of several weeks to come out and give us their spiel. All of which were more inclined to lease us a system. ***Psst, if you don’t know. These solar companies make more money by leasing their systems; therefore, charging more for their purchase option. This was not the case with Unisun.*** After each one of these meetings with the other solar companies I had more questions for Unisun. Darrell always answered his phone, always answered my questions, and was very patient and understanding throughout the entire process. After the last other solar company came out we knew we wanted to go with Unisun. Unisun has demonstrated their extremely high level of customer service and family environment. We feel appreciated for being a part of the Unisun family, and they truly do make you feel a part of the family. Plus, I find comfort in knowing that solar is not the only type of work they do for the homeowner, and when I want some other work done in my home, Unisun(a.k.a Syntrol) will be the first place I call. All I want now is my «I *(heart)* My Solar!» sign. Lol.
