Established in 1975.

John Stack, a St. Louis native, founded Stack Decorating in the mid-​70s, focused primarily on hanging wallpaper. He immediately found success as a result of his professionalism and attention to detail. Over the next 35 years, clients’ tastes changed and expanded, and John has continued to meet their needs by expanding his services to include interior painting, interior moulding and trim work, wallpaper removal and more. Thanks to Stack Decorating’s continued dedication to providing high-​quality workmanship over the years, John and his team are now serving second generation customers.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

John has two kids and lives in St. Charles with his wife Marian. Stack Decorating is truly family-​owned and operated. Each member of John’s family has contributed to the business over the years, with Marian helping with administrative work; his daughter, Kelly, providing the lovely voice on the answering machine message; and his son, Alex, working hard on the job site. When not holding a paint brush, John enjoys watching his Redbirds, driving his Cardinals-​red Cobra Mustang and spending time with the above-​mentioned family.
