I ordered a half sheet strawberry shortcake and it was absolutely delicious! Most bakeries make their cakes have really strong flavor but Fumie makes it lighter so that the taste isn’t so overwhelming. Fumie was kind enough to deliver the cake to my house. She was able to make it under a short notice too. I got this cake to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Mills High Dragon Team and I received lots of compliments from the team about the cake! Thank you so much, Fumie! I also came here for lunch and got two bento boxes. The karaage is really good and the carrots are cut in the shape of flowers :3

Came here on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch. The owner(I’m guessing) is very accommodating and made us a Japanese style fried chicken with the curry, although not on the menu. The tables are clean and there’s a lot of natural light coming through the windows. The batter on the chicken was light and crisp, giving a soft crunch. The chicken meat was extremely juicy and tender – perfectly cooked. The curry was surprising since it wasn’t a traditional Japanese curry. It was a vegetable purée. It was a wholesome well-portioned meal.

All I can say is «what a disappointment« I was excited to try there bento from what I saw in photos, it looked delicious. When I got there around little pass 12pm the door was still lock(???). Finally some one came and unlock the door. When I was ready to order, all I saw was two side dishes(potato salad and Hijiki) and one small roll cake. Not much choice there. Also there was one main dish on the board was out. How can it be out. It’s only 12ish. How do they do there business. I was so disappointed that I told them I’ll be back and left the place. The lady didn’t look very happy after I said that. Perhaps they are catered to catering more than dining in.

I can’t believe you can find good food in San Bruno! I’ve come here for lunch a couple times and I can’t wait to try everything! You’ll find simple and delicious Japanese home style food here. While their savory items are very good, I’m a huge fan of their rolled cakes! They’re soft, spongy, light, and always fresh. I’ve tried the chestnut, fruit, and green tea rolled cakes and all of it was sooo delicious!

It’s like food that you get at a fundraiser. Well intentioned and somewhat tasty but it doesn’t have that polish or wow factor. We used Sweet and Natural for a company catering event. Everyone seemed to like the food a lot more than I did. We had about six trays of food including salad, seaweed mixed rice, beef, roasted root vegetables, and others. Strangely I liked the roll cake but everyone thought it was just okay. Not sure how the quality of the walk-in dining food is compared to the catering quality.

I came here and spoke with Chef Fumie to order some catering food for my son’s 1st birthday. She was very accommodating with my requests. The rice balls was awesome and all the kids and adults love it. We also ordered the chicken skewers and that was also good!

My friends had these folks cater their baby’s first birthday party. Everything was wonderful! One would think that chicken karaage, for instance, would be hard to keep hot and crunchy but they were! Everything was tasty and fresh. There were items for both the adults and the kids, which was a bonus!

I was googling a catering place in San Bruno and this place popped up. If I didn’t Unilocal it, I would of never guessed to find this place while walking around downtown San Bruno. It’s non-scripted as it mostly does corporate catering for(fitbit, apple, craigslist). The owner is friendly and accommodating. If you need to get a hold of her, it’s best to visit her in person. She’s slow with emailing and phone conversations. She runs this café since the city needed her to open up a café seating area to serve people. It’s spacious and airy inside. I’ve ordered a bento box for lunch. It’s Japanese with an American twist. I’ve also catered food from her for a 2 year old birthday party at Diddalidoo’s. She was able to come up with a handheld easy lunch menu. See my photos. I love supporting local mom/pop businesses. I hope this shop/café is here to stay. The matcha azuki cream cupcake is good($ 2.75) as well as the raspberry/chocolate macaroon($ 1.75).

Great addition to the neighborhood! This place has an airy Japanese countryside café vibe. I had the bento box and my mother had the omelette accompanied with a pot of matcha green tea. The food here is very tasty and satisfying yet light so if you’re looking for a unique café experience, definitely check this neighborhood gem out!

Love the summer vegetable dish, the sauce is excellent to save to add on other things. Also, I love matcha and the matcha roll cake is awesome. Definitely recommend both!

I love coming here for quick and fresh breakfast or lunch. I love the Chicken Yakitori and the Barley Salad with Chicken. My favorite side is the Green Bean Salad which is amazing, so crunchy! If you are in the mood for something sweet, try their homemade Macaroons!

My company had catering lunch today. I was really impressed by their food. I got this vegetarian food: tomato stew and baked potato. It’s really delicious. And my other coworkers said they love the chicken. i think it’s my favorite cater so far!
