Geoffrey’s Diamonds & Goldsmith

First, I need to apologize to the Unilocal world for taking so long to write a review. Apparently life gets pretty busy after you get engaged :).
The short story… I had a vision for an engagement ring based on one I had seen at a boutique in NYC, and Geoffrey’s helped me bring it to life absolutely perfectly.
The longer-​ish one… I live in NYC, but was referred to Geoffrey’s by a long-​time college friend. I had seen a ring here in a NYC boutique I really liked, but was just way out of budget. I took a few pictures of it, and sent them to Nikko after our initial phone conversation. We then talked through the details a little more. He was super helpful in determining what additional customization made sense (adding pink diamonds under the halo basket for example and bringing the diamonds ¾ down the band) and what didn’t.
After that, I primarily worked with William who was incredibly responsive, helpful, and always available. I was a little anxious waiting for the wax to be completed, especially since I’m across the country, but William did a great job photographing it from a number of angles with and without the center stone to give me a great view of what the completed ring would look like. The first iteration was pretty close, but there were a couple details I wanted tweaked. Some may say I was being nitpicky, but never once heard any complaints or pushback. The second iteration was spot on with the ring I had seen locally.
Once the ring was delivered to my office, I showed it to some of coworkers who were all floored as much as I was. The rose gold is just a the perfect shade. The diamond sparkles like nothing I’ve ever seen. The fine details were all executed perfectly.
I proposed to my now fiancée on top of a mountain in Acadia over Labor Day Weekend and it couldn’t have been any better. I woke up the next morning in our tent to find her already awake just staring at her ring, smiling. It’s been five months now and I still catch her just checking it out, wiggling her fingers to watch it sparkle. Every one of her friends has been just as amazed by it and I even notice strangers scoping it out when we’re out to dinner (did I mention it sparkles… even in dark restaurants?).
All in all, I couldn’t be happier with both the ring and my experience with Geoffrey’s. Stop by if you’re local, but definitely don’t hesitate to give them a shout even if you’re not.

One more update. As I examined the ring more, the gap where she welded the bottom is gold and not platinum to match my ring. You can also see the line clearly. Also the bar nub things are not equal. The ring has been harder to get on and off so now I have slight calluses on my knuckles! I’ve had a couple other jewelry folks comment and question the method of this. The service at Geoffrey’s is great just not sure if recommend their sizing service :(I am taking it elsewhere to fix the resizing now.$$$

I got my engagement ring at Geoffrey’s and my experience here was nothing short of amazing.
Jillian was incredible to work with. She was extremely professional, friendly, patient, and helpful throughout my entire experience. I never felt pressured or rushed to purchase, but she worked with me to find the perfect ring. After I finally made up my mind, she was also able to work with me to stay under the budget I was looking for. I bought the ring on a Monday and I asked that they finish the setting by the weekend, but to my surprise they emailed me by the end of the day that the setting was done! It’s amazing that they finished my order so quickly so I wouldn’t be nervous about the timing (I was going to propose on Saturday).
After the proposal, they continued their awesome service by working through the resizing with us. My fiancé and I ended up resizing the ring twice and they were always so patient with us to make sure we were happy with the ring. They even threw in a free bottle of champagne!
Overall I can’t recommend Jillian and Geoffrey’s enough. While I feel like their prices might be slightly higher than online or other jewelry stores, I have no doubt that I would go back if I had the chance.

Amazing place to do your jewelry shopping or repair.

My fiancé went into Geoffrey’s too look for engagement rings and we went back today to see the ring (he used a ring pop for the proposal :)). I’ve never been that into jewelry or rings and I was convinced I would feel out of my element. BUT this place was wonderful!
We worked with Sonny who was so helpful and kind. She made me feel right at home and was so accommodating. The whole experience was wonderful and everyone there was amazing. I kind of just wanted to stick around to hang out with them.
They made a special experience even more special. I couldn’t recommend this place more. They are a bunch of gems :)

I have never felt so welcomed into a store like Geoffrey’s. As I was looked around I was asked, «would you like some champagne», «would you like the jewelry you are wearing to be cleaned»? I hadn’t even thought of that and let me tell you, I don’t trust my jewelry with anyone! My ring came back SPARKLING! Sunny was sincerely kind and extremely helpful. We were a bit on a budget (gift card), but that did not change Sunny’s disposition in helping us. When we walked out I was on cloud 9!

Visited Geoffrey’s to get a a gift for my wife. We are returning customers and Aaron attended to us on both our visits. We are very happy with all our purchases and extremely satisfied with Aaron’s attention to our budget and needs. Aaron also educated us on grades used by diamond industry. I will definitely return for my future purchases.

I went in with a ring that needed repairs. The ring was a gift from an aunt that had passed away, so I had nothing but sentimental reasons for fixing it. As it turned out, after paying for a somewhat costly repair, the ring was not worth fixing. Honesty would have been appreciated. Will not return.

We had the most wonderful experience at Geoffrey’s! Jillian Rebol was absolutely amazing to work with. My husband and I were getting a celebration ring after 15 years together and Jillian guided us through the whole process. I thought my ring might take a month to get back to me but Jillian and the staff worked their magic and everything was finished within time for my birthday! It was meant to be! Jillian went above and beyond to get the ring ready for me within a week My family and friends were present and the staff made it such a special event

My family has been clients of Geoffrey’s for years. Sonny helped my brother-​in-​law custom design my sister’s ring, and she helped me find the perfect ring along with my fiancé. We originally wanted to use an old family heirloom as my ring, but it is sadly too fragile to hold a stone. Sonny was such a doll and had a collection of vintage inspired rings waiting for me to choose from!
I’m very indecisive but never feel rushed or pressured at Geoffrey’s. Highly recommended!

Great customer service. Jillian is very helpful. She understands what I need. I got my anniversary ring there. It is a great price as well. Definitely will come back again. I will highly recommend this store to anyone.

My mother recently passed and I had to figure out what to do with all her jewelry. Sonny Findley from Geoffrey’s diamonds came in early; before the store opened, on her own time, to go over each piece to help me decide what to keep, what to sell, and where to sell it for the most value. She even had suggestions on what to do with an opal ring with a crack. Her customer service went above and beyond. She really listened to my wishes and doubts despite my not being able to make quick decisions because of my emotional state. Thank you Sonny for making this process so smooth.

We have purchased several pieces of beautiful jewlery from Sonny. She is extemely honest and knowledgeable as well as genuinely interested in helping us find the perfect piece of jewelry to enjoy! Sonny and Geoffrey’s will continue to be our only go to jewlery professionals!

5-​stars for 5-​star service! Sonny and William were extremely helpful, from the very first time I came in to get my engagement ring «fixed». Sonny was just SO nice and helpful, and really brainstormed ways to get my engagement ring the way I envisioned it, and then eventually looped in William for more advice. He was able to draw out exactly what I wanted.
Their prices are very reasonable — would love to come back for all future diamond needs!

I’m using my fiancée’s Unilocal account to write this review since I don’t have my own, but the fact that I feel so compelled to write about my experience with Geoffrey’s demonstrates just how amazing the service and staff are over there.
Geoffrey’s was probably the 5^th or 6^th store I had visited in the bay area in my search for the perfect engagement ring. But from the time I began working with the store owner Nikko, I could tell just how much they value their customers’ happiness.
Nikko went above and beyond what I could have ever imagined. He worked with me for hours on multiple visits, first by educating me on every detail of what to look for in a diamond and then helping me search for the right diamond for my fiancée’s ring.
Even after purchasing the engagement ring, he continued to work with me to make changes while the ring was already being made. He let me change the ring setting a week before it was to be completed (not to mention he found the exact setting I had described to him over the phone a few days before), and he still found a way to get the ring to me in time for my proposal. I could not thank Nikko enough, and when I asked him why he had been so accommodating, what he said next reflected perfectly the type of person he is. He told me, «I just want her to be happy.»
When I went to pick up the ring, it was absolutely stunning and everything I had hoped for and more. Nikko made the entire process incredibly enjoyable from start to finish and the service I received made it apparent that the happiness of his customers is his top priority.
I cannot recommend Nikko and Geoffrey’s enough. If you’re looking for an engagement ring, there is no better place to go than here.

I had purchase my hubby ring from Here and was loving it. We went in together for his ring and pick up the one he like. The service on that day was excellent. A week later my hubby went to pick up his ring after size it. We had look for my ring also but we didn’t made purchases on that day. Then my hubby went in by himself and pick out my ring for me (it was before Valentine’s Day) without me knowing it. Juliana greet him and recognize him right the way She had included champagne for us to celebrate our special night. I came home to a surprise beautiful ring and bottle of champagne. Thank you hubby, and thank to Geoffrey’s diamond for this wonderful day. Never been more happier than this. All my friend and even stranger are giving me all the compliment about how sparking and beautiful my ring is. Wonderful service Excellence products.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Geoffrey’s last week. My boyfriend and I decided to elope, and he proposed with his late Grandmother’s engagement ring. I brought it to Geoffrey’s to be sized and cleaned before our ceremony. There are a couple of reasons I feel this was a five star experience–
The service was awesome. Sonny was incredible. I can’t remember the last time I felt so well taken care of by someone I’ve never met.
They were quite knowledgeable. We didn’t know very much about the ring, but they were able to give us a bit of a sense of it’s origin as well as it’s value just from looking at it.
They were super accommodating… my boyfriend likes to procrastinate… but never fear they were able to size and clean the ring the same day to make sure we got it back in time for the ceremony.
The pricing was very reasonable. No complaints.
Thanks again for the champagne Sonny… we’ll see you again soon!

The level of service she provides is unsurpassed… And continues to amaze me. That is the icing on the cake to the already exceptional selection, service, quality and prices offered at Geoffreys.

My best friend’s family recommended Geoffreys to my now husband and I when we were dating. They referred us to Sonny and I am so glad they did.
We have worked with Sonny from the moment we walked in 4 years ago to start looking for engagement rings until now. I’m the kind of girl who knows what I want from a style perspective, but Sonny doesn’t stop short at just showing me what I expect to see. She has been very helpful in researching options and allowing me test drive before we commit. After she helped us pick the perfect round brilliant diamond — so perfect it has «hearts and arrows» — with a beautiful engagement ring setting, she made sure we got exactly what we were looking for in terms of my wedding band. It’s been 2 years and every time we go in, they offer to clean and check everything and we have even had the rhodium re-​plated for my white gold rings at no cost.
Last summer, for our 2^nd anniversary, my husband got me a 3^rd band to stack with my 2 wedding rings.
We spent weeks with Sonny researching options and she was very assertive with her expertise– making sure all 3 would fit together well, without compromising the delicate settings and stones in each of my bands. I got my custom engagement ring and matching wedding rings back and they are perfect! And they were delivered within 2 weeks, as promised. So details…
I stopped by Geoffrey’s at lunch time and Nikko asked me which ring I wanted to see first. I chose the engagement ring of course! And it was amazing. Tiny micropave sparkles, perfect milgrain and the design was flawless. Exactly what I wanted and more. You could really tell that every detail was done with care and attention. And the wedding ring is really a perfect match to the engagement ring! I was literally shaking when I put the ring on cause it was that perfect. WTF? When did I become such a girl? Guess sparkly diamonds will do that to me haha.
Nikko also gave me a cute little jewelry carrying case for my rings/​earrings ANNNND a very nice bottle of wine! So sweet.
I will definitely be back when I decide to get another (bigger) ring, or another fiancé. Muahahaa…
