Arcade Car Wash

The first time I tried this place was a few years ago when it was ran by different management, and boy was it fantastic. Amazing pizza and a great car wash!
Then the new owners took over, and everything about this place got even better. While I love the job they do on my car, the truly best thing this place offers is a legitimate New York pizzeria. Before this
place arrived, the closest place to IB to get a decent pie was Bronx pizza.
Next time you’re there try the meatball sub. My dude with the glasses makes the bread from scratch and it is absolutely brilliant.
I highly recommend these guys. Excellent attention to the fine details of washing a car, and their small pizzeria is a must-​try in IB. Once you try it you’ll never want pizza from any other pizzeria. I like supporting local businesses in ib, and I am a local IB attorney and like giving back to local businesses. So do yourself a favor and eat a meatball sub and a slice of pizza, I promise you’ll never go anywhere else.

I usually don’t like others cleaning my car due to having OCD but I came to get my car washed and being here for the first time they made me feel very welcome. I appreciate all the hard work they do… Thank you so much for taking car of my car… It’s just like new again

We finally got a break from all the rain lately and I was dying to get my car washed. I was told by some friends that I should check out this place as the customer service was supposed to be top notch and they have a really cool arcade and pizza joint there too. Well, I wasn’t disappointed. Took the ride and kids there today. My car came out sparkling clean. The attention to detail was just as I’d been told. Plus, I got the added bonus of happy kids, who LOVED the arcade, and great NY style pizza. As a former New Yorker, I’m a pizza snob. This place did not disappoint. I’ll definitely be coming back in the future. Great time! Definitely worth the trip.

Place was packed, but they took their time. Like I was the only customer — take your time. My car was cleaned like never before. I had time to let the kiddos run around — play the arcade games, and I am not going to lie — I couldn’t resist the pizza. This pizza was the best! Thin & scrumptious. I highly recommend and will definitely be back. I live in Del Cerro, but will drive extra, because it is worth it. This place is truly a gem in Imperial Beach!

Great customer service, very help full thank you for the great service will be coming back again. It was nice to see the owner out helping and interacting with the customers. Great place to to.

Excellent car wash & detailing! Great place to have some awesome pizza while you wait.

On March 15, 2015 I took my perfectly good Toyota Solara Convertible into this car wash. Though car is a 2002, the top had just been recently replaced. It went in their car wash perfectly fine and came out completely torn in the back. I spoke with Kaan (one of the three owner/​operators) on that day and I wanted to file and incident report and take pictures. He said his HANDSHAKE was how they did things and he assured me that the Arcade Car Wash would «make everything right.» He asked for patience while he researched options to have the convertible top fixed.
Almost two months went by and I never heard from Kaan, so I stopped by Arcade Car Wash in person and spoke with Mike. He cleaned my car for free by hand — since I couldn’t put through a car wash at all now without water coming through to the interior — and he confirmed that Kaan and the management had received the TWO estimates for repair that I provided in my correspondence of April 27, 2015. He further confirmed that they were «diligently working on a resolution,» and once again, Arcade Car Wash would get back to me with haste.
That was in early May.
June was the next month, and still I received no answer from the car wash and no resolution. That’s THREE MONTHS later. When I told them I was frustrated with this, that rains were coming and my car was a mess, they just started misstating facts. Suddenly, my car had «previous damage,» so one brother had told the other? Suddenly, it was my fault as I HAD WAITED TOO LONG and driven with it frayed. Anything they could think of, they tossed out as reasoning, and then they told me they would only pay to have it stitched (which means I could never use the car as a convertible again because you can’t put the top up or down, stitching only comes with a 1 week warranty).
Round and round we went, and they ultimately only paid ½ the price of the replacement piece. I wish I had had the time to drag them into small claims court, as with my proof and evidence I would have won, but I did not. So, convertible owners (and frankly all others) be wary. I lost over $ 300 going to this car wash and they where dishonest, did not follow through on their promises and lacked integrity.

I’ve been here twice, & absolutely loved it the first time. $ 4 dollar wash, I dried my car myself (I bought my own towels), & free self-​vacuum available. I don’t mind doing all the above because I can’t wash my car in the housing area where I live (against the rules), so I will be coming here to only pay the minimum.
The second time we came, we paid for extra stuff like their hand towel dry, and armourall on the tires. The employees left many dry «wet spots» and the armourall had to be asked for. I think they need a better system for the different choices of washes. Just so no one is confused on what they paid for, or visa versa. Overall good place for cheap car wash.

Last time I came here I was really impressed. This time not so much.
I have to say I DO love the small business atmosphere, especially of the pizza place inside! That guy is a throwback to service with a smile of yesterday. And the salads are delish (but they need a wider selection of dressings).
The first time I came I expected to spend $ 100 getting my car detailed. When I only spent about 30 I was blown away!
But this time I spent a little more, and got a little less service. The car simply did not look like I’d hoped it would look when I got back to it. I even had to ask someone to clean up the things they missed and they acted like that was a big deal.
As I was checking out I asked the owner if I could use the Unilocal discount that was offered. He said no because I Artie checked out. If I was a business owner I would have got his head and said yes to keep the customer happy. Especially if I could tell they were regular customer, which it’s obvious that I was.
I will go back and give them one more chance, but there are lots of places I could go for car detail so I will hope that my next experience is better.

This place was really good the first time I came here over a month ago. The first time I was here they were, friendly, fast, and efficient.
It is my second month now with a car wash membership for the triple diamond wash.
During the times I’ve been here to get my car washed either once or twice a week I have noticed so many negative things.
–I pulled up one time and waited quite. While before anyone helped me.
–After my car got out of the tunnel the car rolled out because they weren’t paying attention. An employee ran out in front of my car and had to stop the rolling car from going into the street. If her wasn’t there it would have rolled into Main Street traffic on Palm Ave.
–I thought it came with vacuum for every wash but it didn’t. That didn’t bother me. What bothered me was when I did ask about it, the employee said I’ll vacuum it for you if you give me a tip (a tip is given for excellent service, not because you ask for one).
–Other minor things were when they said my car was ready I got in and the keys weren’t there and he’s like oh yeah here they are (idk where he pulled them out from), not completely drying the cars, slow service, guys messing around yelling.
I had high hopes for this place. I love supporting local businesses since I have lived in the South Bay most of my life. After my membership runs out for this month. They are no longer going to get any more of my business or my money.

Got the triple diamond wash for $ 24. If you check in with Unilocal you can get $ 4 off and they have a solid military discount. My car looked great. They spent a lot of time drying it off and wiping it down and cleaning my tires. They were nice and it has the best waiting area of any car wash I have ever been to like a little restaurant area complete with a pizza shop and arcade games.

Decent car wash. Took a bit longer than anticipated and there was only 1 car in front of mine.
They left streak marks on my windows, my grill wasn’t wiped down either so there is dried water marks as well.
Overall, I’m okay. Satisfied but not ecstatic.

I am SO GLAD this place is back up and running, and even bigger and better than ever! These guys are amazing and it’s awesome to see them doing so well.

THIS IS WHY I HAVE TO WRITE THIS REVIEW!
We have always enjoyed their authentic NY pizza. But since my celiac diagnosis a few months ago, we haven’t eaten so much pizza as a family. The other night my husband was in IB and decided to grab pizza for dinner on his way home (and I decided I’d find something else). He walks in with two pizzas.
THEY MAKE THEIR OWN GLUTEN-​FREE PIZZA! AND IT IS AMAZING!!! I am so excited that my favorite pizza place in the entire area has GF pizza!

Unbelievably great EVERYTHING!
1. Great location — It’s at a corner, where there’s an entrance and exit from a side street, so you don’t need to mess with the traffic on the busy, main road. You also don’t have to compete with the cars from other merchants because their space is well-​sectioned off.
2. Great building layout — Spacious and clean. The seating area is lined by some arcade games, but not too close to be bothersome, if you’re on your phone waiting for your car.
3. Great food — They have a N.Y. Pizza place inside that deserves its separate 5-​star review. There’s also a large deli fridge of various libations.
4. Great staff — Lionel checked me in. He’s a real funny and nice guy, possibly a psychic because he seemed to know exactly what I wanted or what I was going to ask before I asked. Camille, the cashier, was very sweet and helpful.
They do take awhile, but it’s well worth the wait, because they’re just very meticulous. I observed one of the guys carefully checking for anything that might have been overlooked. After they took care of me, my car looked like it just drove off the car dealer lot! Best car wash I ever had!
