Very courteous staff. Not pushy at. Really made getting my oil changed a pleasant experience!

I’ve had my oil changed here for the longest time and have always received professional and courteous service. Since I commute from Riverside County to San Diego on a regular basis, taking care of my car is very important.
The workers here don’t try to hard sell you like some other places I’ve been and that’s something that I really appreciate. This last time I came in they pointed out some things that I already knew needed to be done and I finally had it done.
They promised it would be done at a certain time and it was. I really don’t have anything bad to say about these guys. The waiting room was comfortable but I really didn’t use it since there is a Wal-​Mart in this shopping center. I just went shopping and when I came back the car was done.

Don’t mess with this place, went in for a simple oil change. And they tried to upsell me on a bunch of other stuff I didn’t need. I had just got a set of rims and tires put on my car and when the mechanic did the oil change he tried to tell me I needed a tire rotation and wheel alignment. I told him I just put the rims and tires on not even an hour before I got there and he tries to tell me whoever did it didn’t do a good job and I should really get a tire rotation. Plus he was kind of an asshole about it when I told him I take my car to get all my major work done at the Nissan dealership because of my warranty. I don’t recommend this place at all plus before I came in the owner tried telling me that Unilocal takes off all the good reviews and just leaves the bad reviews. For an extra $ 500 of work he tried to sell me and his mechanics attitude I see why they get shit reviews. Will never go here again which sucks because I literally live around the corner from the place.

This place is terrible, first of all they always try to upsell you. Last time I came in I only wanted an oil change and they wanted to replace my oil filter and ac filter and the cleaning of the barrels which costed a crazy amount of money for labor considering it only took them 10min. to do. This time around they had me fill out the paper work and they just left it in the back for over 30min. in that time period 2 «regular» customers came in and they were serviced 1^st. When I finally asked if they could at least take my keys so I wouldn’t have to wait there, they didn’t know which one was my car, they didn’t know where my paper work was, I had to point it out to them. Then they proceeded to enter my info in the computer which at that point they tell me that my car only takes synthetic, I told them they put regular oil the last time I had brought it. They refused to use regular oil so I told them I would take my car somewhere else. If they had helped me when they were suppose to instead of helping other customers that came in after me then I would not had wasted almost a whole hour just sitting there for nothing. I gladly drove across the parking lot to the Walmart oil change station, it only took them 5min. to check me in and take my keys.
Stay away from the Econo Lube place!!!

I went in for a $ 30 oil change but, they wanted to charge me an additional $ 43 to «drain and add new oil to your engine» because i was 200 miles past due. lol I’m no car expert but i know an oil change involves draining and adding oil.

Came here for an oil change and they said my bearings needed replacing, stating the car was dangerous to drive. Because that work would cost me hundreds, I said no to the service and they still kept trying to convince me to have the work done. I brought the car to my regular mechanic the very next day and found out there is nothing wrong with the bearings. My mechanic even asked the question «if you went there for an oil change, why are they checking your bearings?». WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN!!!

I’ve been coming here for a few years for oil changes and they have always done a decent job for that. It’s been a while since I have been here with the new ownership, but I got my oil changed a couple days ago and that went fine. But they were suggesting I get my rear trailing arm bushings replaced because they were cracked and could give way at any time. This would have cost about $ 400. I took my car to another shop for a 2^nd opinion and they told me that they were fine and were going to last for a long time. So use this as a WARNING: they’re just trying to make more money off of you. When you go in for something simple, they will look for more stuff to charge you.
I trusted the other mechanic because he did my inspection for free and I didn’t get any work done. If this other mechanic wasn’t honest, he would have tried to get me to do something on my car that would make him some money. He was happier knowing that I would come back to him for a repair later down the road. Message me if you want to know this other HONEST mechanic in the same area.

Customer service at this place is a joke! Robert, the general manager, does not care about his customers. He kept giving me the run-​around after THEY broke something on my car and I went back to get it repaired. I kept going back only to waste my time since they would never fix it. Every time I would go into the office, he wouldn’t even come out to talk to me! Robert never returned any of my phone calls and he kept blaming it on the owner. (I happened to meet the owner, and he seemed like a very nice man, so I don’t think the owner is the problem) I can’t count the times I showed up because they were going to repair what THEY had originally broken, only to leave after waiting a long time for him to come out of the back office. He seems careless and I think he hoped that by ignoring me and not talking to me when I showed up that I would forget all about it. Horrible, horrible. Do not come here. It is not worth the frustration. I was a regular customer before this incident but I will never be going back. Other workers at this place seem nice, Robert, however, was not. Take your money somewhere else, where your service is appreciated.

Came here out of convenience and will return due to their good service and great prices. I got an oil change which everyone does all the time, so there’s really not much I can say to sell this place.
Regardless, I’d definitely recommend this place!

Great place, always great deals on oil changes, my car is always ready before the time they promise and great location– across the parking lot from walmart where i could go and shop for the house while the car gets serviced. The car is almost already done by the time get back.

my car still runs after a couple of oil changes but they take forever to do a simple oil change, i guess is typical of a shop

Gd solid place, have never had a problem with them. Have been going here 4 quite sometime and service is always great/​friendly. Even though I have only gotten my oil changed here and transmission flush. If I ever have any car problems I will most likely still try them out

I’ve been getting my oil changed here for quite some time. Yesterday I had been having some issues w/​my vehicle and knew I needed to bring it in for a Transmission Flush. I called on Saturday to find out their hours and price. Adolfo the manager their was super nice and friendly. He even said that if I brought it in tomorrow he’d give me a discount. I work in the service department at a dealership and know when I’m getting a good price on certain services. The workers there are really professional and I never felt as though they were trying to up sell. They just had recommendations that I was already aware of. I felt as though I got a good deal on the service and my car is doing great. No problems!

I knew Eddie and I have met the new owner Gian, who I like very much, and like Eddy is a consummate pro and he has brought the shop back into functionality after the fire very rapidly. I set up a reference library on computer for them, which that fire melted a computer and a 500 GB External WD Hard Drive: I had to go over there and re-​do it all. Fortunately they had insurance on the shop, so the computers and everything else that got damaged was mostly replaced, and thanx to the insurance they have better systems now (Which I made and/​or set up for them, so actually I am a bit biased about the shop, or at least my part in bringing it back up to speed).
That shop is in good hands: Good location, 5 bays? Good mechanics, my only complaint is the Econo brand of add in treatments may cost more than what you can get it for at Auto Zone.
Other than that, it’s the best Econo Lube and Tune in San Diego, and I do work for all of them, so I know… I have helped set up computer systems for just about all of them, Clean Shop, nice people, professional attitude, and an overall pleasant atmosphere: Huge HD TV in the lobby, all they need are a few drink machines and some food machines: And, to be sure: When I need a lube, I’ll bring my truck there for the work.

UPDATE… my buddy Eddie Furguson, does not own this shop anymore. don’t know who owns it anymore, but i have not gone back since. they also recently had a fire, from which they have not reopened. all AFTER Eddie sold it.
pros…this place is almost always open. it has some of the longest hours of operation available. the owner Eddie Ferguson is really cool. he actually helped me push my broken down car off the freeway off ramp several months ago. and he also called and then waited with me until the tow truck came and picked up the car. very nice guy. thanks Eddie. and i wasn’t even charged for the tow.
cons…the prices here are not the cheapest. so actually call around and price shop. i didn’t really have that choice since i had broken down and this was the closest place to get my car fixed.
there is another eddie, the worker, not the owner Eddie. he quoted me a price which was almost 1.5 times more then my normal mechanic’s quote. when i called my regular mechanic to get a counter offer (all on speaker phone for eddie to hear) he literally dropped his jaw when he heard the price difference. needless to say i got the much lower price just cause i put the call on speaker and bargain eddie down. so shop around and have a price so you don’t get taken.
