I had the good fortune to meet these guys several years ago at one of the Home Shows at Del Mar Fairgrounds. I invited them to come to my house and assess it for a solar panel system. I also made a few other contacts at the fair and scheduled estimates with them. One of the others never showed up, the other took 3 weeks to send the estimate after the initial survey was completed. Solar West completed the entire survey to include the light exposure testing to accurately determine the efficiency I should expect from the system and provided a completed estimate if materials and labor before leaving that day. I waited for the second company’s estimate which would have been slightly less but also less overall capacity kWh rating. Patrick beat that estimate and provided 2 additional panels. Besides the fact that they were the better price, I simply liked their business ethic. The installation took about a day and a half. I was concerned that having a tiled roof that things could go wrong and broken tiles could lead to roof leaks in the future. Well… It is the future. Five years perfect operating system, no leaks, no electric bills and not one problem or issue throughout the whole process. I only wish I knew about Unilocal back in the day so I could have given them the credit they deserved!
