Trisler’s Wine Bar

I hate leaving bad reviews, but this was. just a really sad experience. I was so excited about this place. It seemed so nice with the live music and «good wine». But they were really unpleasant and cranky from the start. When I ordered the house wine which was unfortunately awful, they refused to take it back. The next one wasn’t all that much better, but it was tolerable. The shocking thing was that this was their only cab. For a wine bar. I’m by no means a wine snob, but even applebees has more than one option for a basic cab. This aside the food was also really average and the staff (both wait and owner) were incredibly unpleasant. I’m really sad about this experience, but unfortunate as it is, this is California and good wine bars are easy to find. Such as Christopher’s on Congress. Or Croce’s. Please save yourself and avoid at all cost.

Under new, Northern Italian ownership. Erika and Simone are fantastic hosts! You’ll come for the exquisite wines and hors d’oeuvres but will surprise yourself for wanting to stay on until closing for the music. A wonderful new addition to San Diego’s wine bar scene!
