I was referred to by a friend to Wentworth. I am glad I stopped by. They are the most honest and extremely helpful the past two times I’ve gone. The last time they went out of their way to let me stop by for what I thought was an emergency. I definitely recommend this place!

I have been going to Wentworth Automotive for 16 years and I love them! They provide excellent service, are honest, friendly, and tell you only what needs to be done at the time and what can wait to be done later. A lot of mechanics don’t do this so it’s much appreciated! Justin has become a good friend and it’s nice to have a mechanic who can be trusted. He always answers my questions, cares about my concerns, and makes sure that I’m taken care of. The rest of the staff is great too… especially Ben! I definitely would recommend them! :)

I am so grateful that a friend recommended this repair shop to me. I had been taking my car to the Lexus dealership and paying a very high price for maintenance. I am saving so much money now (I am paying about half the price of what I was paying at the dealership). I love the convenience of dropping off my car because they will have drive you to work and then pick you up! The customer service is top notch! I will continue to take my car to Wentworth Automotive because I trust my Lexus will always be in good hands.

Very happy with the service. They were very informative. I had my Sienna’s wheel bearing replaced as well as my transmission ‘flushed’. Prices were good. Now my van is responding and running smoothly. Happy and friendly place. No ramp to overcome the few front steps to get into the waiting/​payment room. Manager carried my walker and drove me home. They also offer coupons and discounts for using their shop. Near the Business Costco on Convoy!

Have been taking my car here recently for oil changes. Great price. AwEsOme customer service. Inform you of other things that your car may need and send you home with a list of items from most pressing to least concerning.
They referred me to a location to get my windshield fixed so far best price I’ve been offered — will update review once it’s been done.

Very happy with Wentworth Automotive. They have become my first choice auto shop due to their quality, friendly service. I get regular services here, SMOG checks, alignments, as well as any other routine or required maintenance. I’m very comfortable bringing our BMW and Audi here, and they’ve been able to do every job requested.
Now I’m only in there two or three times a year with each car, but the owner and staff all know me by name now, and remember all the little details. If you like having your mechanic work on your cars with that kind of personal service give these guys a try.

I have a 2010 Chevy Aveo, and I have been to Wentworth 3 times so far– once for an oil change, then for a transmission flush, and most recently a smog repair/​check. All three times I have been given the most straight-​forward, detailed description of what’s going on with my car in by friendly staff who treat me like a human being, not a dollar sign.
honest mechanics are hard to come by, and these guys have won me over with their dedication to excellent customer service, efficient work, and bright smiles! I’d hang out in that lobby any day of the week!

Justin and David provide great customer service. These men are honest and are experts. This is the 3^rd time we’ve had our vehicles serviced here. I’m a truck buff and I’m glad we came here to get my Dodge Ram 2500 5.3 Ltr, 4×4 serviced. The mechanics know what they’re doing. Try quizing them, you’ll be blown away by their knowledge and sincerity. They fix the problems without upselling you more. This shop will get my business again and again. Be careful if you go here. I took my 01 Mustang convertible in to have the mechanism for the convertible top repaired. The service wasn’t very quick for checking out my car, and the preliminary amount I authorized ($ 126) didn’t go toward the repairs. I had to call a few times during the day to see what they had found out, etc., so before they did any actual work I got my car back. After several phone calls around town, the stereo shop I had gone to before told me who to call. The other guy charged me $ 350 and I got my car back the next afternoon. Wentworth was a little more than 3 times that on their estimate, and I had the feeling they don’t fix a lot of these. I would certainly have preferred that they told me to go somewhere else in the first place, as several other shops had, by simply telling me, «No, we don’t work on those.» At least my Unilocal coupon helped me save some money on the $ 126. Maybe they’re good for stuff like brakes, but I won’t be going back. Sorry, guys.

I came in a few weeks ago for a oil change and a quick tune up and I couldn’t be happier. Now that I’ve gone through a few gas tanks I can track the improved mileage form the spark plugs and air and oil filters getting changed out. I mostly dealt with the front desk girl which was very polite and clear letting me know the cost and time frame, and I appreciated the mechanic handing me my keys going over the work done when I picked it up the next day. Surely they will see me again in the next 4 – 5000 miles.

As a Wentworth customer since the business started (1998) I have always found the staff friendly, the estimates honest, and the work competent. I own three older cars (1968, 1981 and 1999) and have always been gratified by the way Justin has gone out of his way to locate parts (and carburetor parts for a 1981 Corolla are not easy to find!). With service like this, perhaps I’ll never have to buy another car!

Probably the best experience I have had with a mechanic. I have a Prius so I don’t need a oil change every 3,000 miles, I need it around 5,000 miles. All of the other times I took it to the mechanic they just added 3000 to my mileage and stuck the sticker to my window, not Wentworth! And that is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the attention to detail. I am not knowledgeable about cars and most things are over my head. The owner Justin did a very good job explaining what I will need to get done in the future to maintain my car, without making me feel like he was trying to con me into getting something I don’t need. And they have wifi which is nice when you are waiting!

I first heard of Wentworth automotive when I was having lunch at a local taco shop and I sparked up a conversation with a mechanic that worked near by. I had been having a mysterious overheating issue with my 1988 AMC Jeep XJ. I was tired of hearing that it was a lost cause because this XJ has very sentimental value to me.
Well this mechanic I was talking to told me that he had seen this issue before and had had no luck. Just as the last 3 Mechanics that had worked on it had had also. I had spent a couple thousand having mechanic after mechanic «fix» it just to have it over heat again and again. This lunch companion recommended Wentworth Automotive and told me that the old owner was a jeep guru and that he bet if anyplace knew what was wrong they would.
That afternoon I happen to overheat again and was near the Rancho Jeep Dealership on Balboa Not only were they not friendly, they charged me just to look at it. All that and not one of the mechanics had any knowledge that my XJ was an AMC. And don’t get me started on what all they found wrong with this beast I love so much.
On that note I called AAA and had my beastly pal taken to Wentworth. When I arrived a couple hours later I was met by Justin Wentworth. He was/​is the nicest business owner I have ever dealt with. He had his guys diagnose the problem and gave me a thorough breakdown of what was wrong and what it would take to fix it. It was something small. Not only was it small its cost to fix was small as well. He didn’t try to build it up to make a profit. When I asked him about what the other mechanics had told me he had his guys take a look at those things and broke all that down to me as well. He told me that yes some of the things were true but not as life threatening to my beast as the others had portrayed. I asked him why didn’t he ad those to his assessment and he said that all of his business is built on word of mouth and that if he cheated me then that word of mouth would be bad for business.
To conclude this story that has run on and on so far… I paid very little, have seen a man that runs a local business like he is a good neighbor. Not just a guy trying to make a buck off mechanically uneducated people that can’t afford to be with out a car for long. I have been back to see Justin with my Beast Pal (1988XJ) as well as my other cars and my wife’s. I will continue to give this place top rating on every forum I can because good people deserve good words spoken about them.

I completely trust Justin and his team and have been taking our cars there more than 8 years. He was originally recommended to us by my brother-​in-​law who’s company gets all their trucks worked on by Wentworth. They have great customer service and we feel that they are very knowledgeable and priced fairly.

First time I went to Wentworth was after having a terrible experience at clairemont auto. The guys at Wentworth were knowledgeable about my car even though it is ancient and being held together by mostly my hope lol. They are accurate about their pricing and they are the most honest shop that ive ever been to. I recommend this place to all my friends because they are the real deal. They know what they are talking about and in my opinion are the best value around. The guys recently put my baby ’91 olds through smog and caught a few things I was thankful they did and I passed which was a huge relief. These guys are THE BEST. I’ve taken my care here for about 5+ years now and will continue to take my care to Justin and his gang which seems to be getting a little smaller. It’s a small shop not very big, I have never that I can recall ever gotten my car back the same day in fact I have left it for a week or more depending on their load and the problem. It’s been a point I have made with them.
There prices ehhhhhhhh, I don’t know «OK» not great, not bad I guess, another problem that I have disputed with the owner and resolved so it’s all good now but It was more trouble then it was worth even though I feel the terms are OK now.
Sure take your car there see Justin Wentworth, he’s honest, profit driven can’t blame him but sometimes I feel a bit more that then keep the customers happy.
I am still a customer and will continue to be the best I will give is 2 stars.
