WOOOW! I was so pleased with my experience from Larry’s tow company. Kevin came within 10 – 15 minutes after calling Triple A. He was so friendly and very knowledgable. He gave me a crash course on my battery and engine and It was extremely helpful. He was super genuine and gave me useful tips. My last experience with a towing company left me with a bitter taste so for Kevin to change my whole perspective was very much appreciated. Thank you! If it is at all possible to request people I suggest Kevin!

I’ve been towed by Carlos #35 multiple times. I have an old motorcycle that keeps breaking down, he’s the fastest driver I’ve had out of the 6 times this bike has been towed.
After getting my bike towed in the south bay I realized how well they have their sh*t together. It took the other guy over an hour just to get the bike on the truck and strapped in, then another 40 minutes to get it off. Carlos took about 5 to get it on and 2 to get it off.
Overall 5 stars. Use this guy. He’s nice too.

Oh the mother of bad flats and I ended up driving on the AMG rim as I was headed home during rush hour and tried to make it home … UNTIL … the car would not move and I was adjoining the off ramp from 6^th Street off of 280. Pretty scare-​y and I called AAA and they were duly concerned that I was in a very dangerous position so they sent the first available and it was a Larry’s Tow Truck. I believe the driver’s name was Samuel, but in case I was mistaken, I was the golden Mercedes SL that AAA requested immediate assistance for. Pretty good time for rush hour and you’re stuck in the triangle next to the speeding cars taking the 6^th street off ramp. First thing he did was tell me he would pull behind my car and to sit in his truck because it was very dangerous. So I did. Luckily my spare tire was serviceable and even after the tire was installed after he inflated it fully, he told me to drive very slowly as he walked alongside to make sure the tire was okay. I told him when all was said (profuse thank you-​s) and done, that I would write Larry’s up on Unilocal and I really appreciated the expert attentions and concern for my safety. He followed me as I drove towards AT&T Park then he took a turn and I made it home safely, albeit with a ruined AMG rim and the tire was pretty much completely gone so we’ll never know what made the relatively new tire go flat after I took pains to put very good tires on my car.
Kudos to Larry’s Tow and give that driver a pat on the back! #AAA was very attentive also!

These guys drive like maniacs. I don’t understand how they can justify the way speed at which they drive. They are putting people’s lives at risk and making themselves and their company look back. Not cool.

We were in the worst possible situation… we were t’boned in San Francisco at 1145pm, and we live near San Jose. Samuel (i believe) showed up quickly after I called AAA and knew exactly what to do. I had a lot to sort out since I had AAA roadside assistance but State Farm for the auto insurance. He had my daughter sit in his truck because she was cold and still very upset. He knew exactly how to tow our vehicle with the extra wheels since he wasn’t sure how much damage happened. And he went out of his way to find us a taxi to get us home. It’s not often you find such kind and personal service. I hope I never get into an accident again in SF. If you do, don’t hesitate to contact Larry’s. They will take good care of you.

Larry’s Towing refused to pick up my motorcycle until the next day, despite AAA telling them to come the prior night. My bike broke down in a busy part of town and either was the subject of a hit-​and-​run, or someone was just mean and pushed my bike over. $ 4,500 later, and Larry’s Towing won’t respond to me or AAA about it. They said they won’t pick up a vehicle if the dealer isn’t open to accept it, but then they dropped it the next morning before the dealership opened. No one even knew the bike was there! I’m out $ 4,500 and Larry’s Towing deserves a black eye for this one. Drivers seemed nice, but then turned in TWO services against me on AAA so it used up half of an entire year’s benefit just for a simple tow. They are underhanded, cheat, and out for a quick buck. Worse yet, they don’t even respond to complaints. Can these guys from AAA and just say no thanks when AAA tries to send them out.

If I could give them less than one star, I would. Driver showed up with an attitude, and left without towing the car. Called Atlas Towing, and they towed the car without any nasty attitude. Dude, keep your attitude at home, don’t bring it on the job.

I get that towing is hard work if you are stationed to remove illegally parked cars. I am absolutely sympathetic to that. Tonight however, I saw a tow truck roll up out front, drop the back of the flatbed and saw the tow driver drive a car up onto the back. There was no customer. This seemed odd, so I filmed what I could. The driver started screaming at me to stop videoing. I asked him what was going on and he just kept yelling to stop taking video. The kicker is that I then spoke with the dispatcher who seemed to think that it was perfectly okay for the driver to lose his mind over me filming the tow. He remained adamant that the tow customer was there when I and my neighbor observed that not to be the case.
Summary: I get that tow drivers get a shit ton of grief. I really do. But being a jerk is not okay. If there is a «Larry,» he needs to coach his drivers and dispatchers how to discourse with concerned citizens as opposed to yells and threats.

I cannot say enough nice things about Adolpho and Rene at Larry’s Tow. I am an AAA member and called when my car wouldn’t start in the grocery store parking lot. Adolpho, from Larry’s Tow, came within 25 minutes and determined that the battery was low, but still had some life in it. He cleaned off some corrosion, gave it a jump and I was good to go! I appreciated that he didn’t try and sell me something he thought I didn’t need. Unfortunately, the next day, it didn’t start again. I called again and Rene came out. He changed the battery ASAP and the car is working great.
Both gentlemen were polite, knowledgable and a huge help! I would recommend them a million times.

He came to rescue when we got ourselves a dead battery in the middle of Japan town. He was nice and did a great job of replacing our battery. Got us on the road in no time! Thanks! :)

On my commute home, my fuel pump died, leaving me stranded on Market Street near 8^th Street. My AAA request for a tow was answered by Osmundo. He arrived well ahead of AAA’s ETA and you could already tell he had a positive and upbeat attitude. Within minutes, my car was secured on the rollback and we were on our way to my apartment (where I planned to replace the fuel pump myself).
Here’s where Osmundo really impressed: my apartment is located on a very busy, one-​way uphill street with only one lane of travel. There was NO way (or so I thought) to unload my car with no traffic breaks in sight. Osmundo was completely unfazed. Stick with me here: he unloaded my car at the intersection at the top of the hill, then ran down the street and calmly commanded traffic to stop while I coasted my car down the hill and into my garage. Traffic was interrupted for 15 seconds at most! No honking, no angry evening commuters.
What can I say… Osmundo is a PRO and takes pride in his work. I can’t speak for Larry’s Tow as a whole but if Osmundo exemplifies their level of service, then I can only recommend them. Thanks again Osmundo!

My car battery died yesterday when I was picking up my toddler daughter around 4:30pm. The key wouldn’t even come out of the ignition and my daughter, lovely as she is, let out a huge fart stinking of curry with a goofy grin on her face. Wonderful~~
I tried calling 3 other places that quoted $ 75 and/​or had a wait greater than an hour, some as long as 3 – 5 hours!
When I called Larry’s Tow, I was greeted by a nice woman who told me the price (also $ 75) and said it would take 35 – 45 minutes. Bargain hunter that I am, I asked if I could call back and she said, «Sure.»
Unable to find a better bargain, I called back and asked if I could receive a call when the driver was headed my way. Mike, I believe his name was, gave me a call and arrived in under 35 minutes. I was sooooo relieved not to be sitting out until it got dark! He had the car up-​and-​running in no time and was very nice and courteous. We left the engine running for a bit, and I got back home in enough time to not have a cranky daughter.
Thank you guys sooooo much.

My car battery died this evening at Dolores and Larry’s Towing was there within 20 mins to jump my car.
I was surprised by the quick arrival and great customer service-​definitely helped that he was super cute too!

AAA sent them out to get my scooter a few days ago.
They showed up on time, always nice!
Then there was a little issue… the shop they were taking my scooter to had a back ally service department and the truck wouldn’t fit down the ally.
Cut to 3 days later when I get a call from the shop telling me that they «found» my scooter out front, and had no idea where my keys were, and that it had a ticket on it. So of course first assumption is the driver didn’t put it where he should have, right?! NOPE
I called Larry’s, explained what happened and he instantly got a hold of the driver to ask what he had done with my scooter, only for the driver to say he went into the shop, found a worker and gave him my keys and put the scooter at the front of the shop — responsibility now lays in the hand of the shop.
BUT Larry’s went even further, said he’d look into it more and get back to me within the hour (which he did!) They sent the driver went back to the shop to confirm the name of the guy he gave my keys to and helped straighten out who has the responsibility of paying my ticket.
I appreciate any company that simply doesn’t say, «Well, our guy did his job — good luck!» Big kudos for small businesses that take care for their customers!

HOLY CRAP! These guys drive like idiots in high school after drinking their first 12 pack. Tailgate, blow through red lights, cut through right turn lanes and go straight. Unbelievable. And this was all in the space of a half mile on Ocean avenue tonight.
I feel sorry for anyone who uses these guys. Your suspension will be shot to hell if the rest of the car makes it. And their phone doesn’t even ring through. Bad company.

This company is total SCAM! My car got a flat tire so I called my AAA and Larry’s came to change my flat tire but as soon as he arrived he refused to change the tire. And wanted me to pay him 95 $ even I have AAA. Total rip off! I told him GO AWAY!!!
I’ve never had problems with AAA before until now!
BEWARE! If you ever need AAA roadside service in San Francisco make sure to tell the AAA dispatcher DO NOT SEND «Larry’s» Towing!!!

I called Larry’s Tow at 7:24am one morning, and my car was already on the flat bed by 7:51am.
In case you don’t have a calculator or Microsoft Excel handy, that’s just 27 minutes from dialing the phone number to when my vehicle was ready to tow! Twenty-​seven minutes is Usain Bolt type fast when it comes to waiting for a tow truck. Impressive!
The driver was really friendly and handled my vehicle with care. I enjoyed my extremely short ride with him (see below).
I knocked off a star because I was charged $ 125 to tow my car around the block. I understand that there are minimum charges and fixed costs involved, but it felt a little steep to drive just a bit more than 1000 ft. Why I needed such short distance tow is a much longer story and beyond the scope of this review, but in any case, my $ 125 felt like it was easy money.
