I don’t normally write reviews but I need to tell everyone how amazing they are at Reinegger Frame and Wheel. A few weeks ago when I was traveling in my RV from San Diego to San Francisco the leaf spring in the back of my RV broke. I was stuck in San Jose and started calling around to a bunch of random places to see about getting it fixed. Everywhere I called I was told that I could not be helped. Finally one place I called recommended me to Reinegger. So thankful. Marty and his team fixed my RV in just a few hours at a very reasonable price and his wife Shelly even served me lunch when she fed the rest of the crew. Don’t expect lunch when you go there but do expect great service at fair and reasonable prices. I definitely plan on passing thru there again to get some more repairs in the future on a few more things I want to fix on my RV. They’re great people, honest and polite. I’ve been using Reinegger Frame & Wheel for many years now. They are great shop with great depth in there ability to provide the necessary service to meet your needs. I have had my Heavy Duty 1-​ton Ford 4×4 Van in for alignment & suspension and drive train issues. They met all expectations and then some. Thank you!

I was referred to this shop by a friend of mine. I’ve had so much trouble with my 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 4X4 suspension mainly due to lousy work and incompetency that I was skeptical.
So, I was greeted by friendly people and invited into the shop area. How many places let you into the shop area anymore? I was told I needed to talk to Marty. He was busy so I had to wait for a few minutes. Well, Marty turned out to be a great guy. He is definitely very knowledgable. He really knows a lot about the load range H all-​terrain tires I am running due to the weight of my Lance camper. He explained why they act like they do.
It turns out he has a degree in mechanical engineering which sure as hell doesn’t hurt in the business he is in! Plus, he has a great sense of humor.
He told me a few simple things I could do to begin to solve the problems. He made nothing off of me for his great advice. I have already done one of the things he suggested and my truck wanders less. I’ll do the other things plus replace my front coil springs and replace my Rancho shocks with Bilstein shocks based on his advice. He said Rancho shocks are the reason he has a dumpster!
Anyway, I will be going back to him for an alignment when I get done with this work.

Had to get some bearings pressed on axles and was went here on a recommendation. Even though they were busy, they worked me into the schedule and did a great job. Nice folks, great work, and some incredible projects in the shop. It’s nice to find an old school shop that doesn’t just plug in a circuit board. Highly recommended!

They diagnosed and replaced left front wheel bearing on my car and all is good.
One year later bring it back with growling noise from front, after having the right front wheel bearing replaced at another shop (for far less money). Other shop advises left front wheel bearing is bad, and suggests return to Reinegger for left wheel bearing to see if they will honor warranty.
Call day before, explain situation, speak with Bourque and make an appointment for next day 8:30am, back when they were on 3^rd Street. He arrives after 10am, kept waiting 1.5 hours, even ask his employees to call & find out where he is. Finally arrived with his wife and both separately give me totally different excuses why they kept me waiting.
New diagnosis: it’s the carrier bearing in my transmission, not wheel bearing they replaced. Visit to dealer confirms bad left front wheel bearing, the same bearing they replaced.
Advise is to stay away, they care little for their customers, despite whatever dog & pony show they might put on, and as a result charge a lot of $$ for what they do and if you do use them, keep an eye on them as they try to charge more than estimate as another reviewer noted… why wouldn’t they… their time is so valuable… if they estimate $ 200-​$ 300 it will $ 300+ There are far better options out there for repairs for your vehicle.

This shop has nice people and highly qualified mechanics. Marty guarantees his work. I would recommend.

I really like this shop and the people who work there. I wish I would have found them 5 yrs ago when I first moved to San Jose. If you have a problem with your car that nobody else can fix, especially if it’s related to an older vehicle, take your car there NOW. Your frustration will be a thing of the past.
Pros —
1. Honest, hard working, knowledgeable, quality workmanship shop
2. The owner Marty, his wife, Jimmy and Kenny are all very nice easygoing people who are a pleasure to deal with.
3. Marty and his guys can diagnose and fix anything I’ve thrown at them.
4. They show you the problem on your car, take you down in the pit with the stethoscope so you can hear any noises, show you the issues and explain how they’ll fix it. This is great for a muscle car freak like me!
5. They make you feel like it’s a partnership team effort in working on your car.
6. They give rides back home when you drop your car off!
Cons —
1. Not open on Sat.
2. Price is a bit high, but you get what you pay for.
3. Also related to price — you gotta stay on top of things and get the total estimate in writing, then check it again when you pay to make sure they didn’t add anything else on without telling you. If you are unaware and let them work on their hourly rate, the final total cost can get out of hand sometimes rather quick.
So do your homework and get some comparison quotes for major jobs so you already have an idea of how many hours it should take and you can decide if it’s worth it or not. This can be dicey too though, because sometimes doing something the right way can take a little longer than doing something the wrong way. But you either pay now or pay later! (Ask me how I know this??)
I will re-​iterate again after the price comments — if you have something you’re frustrated with and another shop has hosed you — take it to Reinegger’s and they’ll fix things correctly. Just be prepared to pay some $$ if it requires any diagnosing or fixing some other shops previous botch job.

I brought my BMW 545i in here because my run flats literally came off of my car while I was driving. They were very helpful and knew exactly what the problem was! I felt safe and secure going here as soon as I spoke with the mechanic. It was pretty much closing time but he was very helpful. I actually left my vehicle here overnight and I felt absolutely comfortable. Marty called the next day and he was fabulous!!! Thank you so much! Will definitely recommend this shop to friends and family!

After taking my car to another frame and wheel joint and they couldn’t fix the problem I was referred to Reineggers. Marty took the time to find out what the problem was and then explained to me what was wrong. If you have an old car or custom ride with alignment issues take it to Reinegger’s.
