Granted these guys came under 60 minutes. Caught my attention. I had a clog in a shower and one thing les to another. Basically, I have asked these
guys to come to my home over and over to fix a problem. They even left the pipes that were cut under our house in our crawl space. One guy told me he will contact me to come back another day to remove them and he never did. I have had a hone inspector come to my home and also inspect the work they did and now I need then to come back to redo it once again. If they would only hire people that are certified and can fix the issue once, then you are doing a fine job. If you have problems with staffing, you need to fix that problem. I definitely so not recommend these guys.

They did a poor job, and the next day the drain was slowing down again. Additionally, these plumbers were thinking of just trying the job, not completing it (quote: «it’s a 50 – 50 chance to clear it from the roof»… when 4 other plumbers have been able to do it all 4 times), and getting paid anyway. Unless you look intimidating, it’s doubtful you’ll be able to get them to just barely finish a hard job. Otherwise, you end up paying them for doing nothing.
Summary: These people barely got the drain to clear after a very long time and lots of effort. They know how to operate an electric snake, and how to convince people to set expectations unreasonably low, but that’s about it.

This company is very courteous on the phone, however when it comes down to it, customer service is not their number 1 priority… their number 1 priority is money! They warrantied my defective water heater for labor for one year and the device for six years… so what happens, the damn defective/​cheap device starts leaking after 14 months… you think they would even work with me since it’s only two months after the warranty period on labor for a defective device THEY installed? Granted I don’t believe they knew it was defective, but at least they could have worked with me on the labor costs since they were responsible for installing this defective device. Noooo, not even would they offer to pay for half of labor even though Lupe tells me on the phone that they would WORK with me… they charge me $ 250 to put in the same cheap brand water heater that went out after 14 months… these things are supposed to last 10 – 15 years! They took more than 24 hours to get back to me each time I called them… and the technician was an hour late on Saturday morning… no call… I had to call to make sure he was coming so I didn’t wait around all morning… if I hadn’t spent thousands of dollars using them the first time, I would have gone somewhere else. I didn’t feel like spending $ 250, let alone another thousands again. They warrantied this new one for another year, but who knows… prob will start leaking again after a year. I am also writing the company regarding their defective product… we’ll see… maybe at least they’ll have better customer service. Save your money…

We were having major sewer issues with a desperate need for snaking our pipes. Called Roto Rooter who came out and charged me $ 225 to tell me they couldn’t do anything. After being so frustrated, called up Sonic Rooter and they were great! Eric is awesome, he took one look at it and diagnosed the issue and had our sewage fixed in one day! I liked him because he was honest, upfront and didn’t BS us with unnecessary details or try to charge us for extra services. I would definitely recommend this company as I highly believe they fixed my issues for a really LONG time!

I had a sewer problem back in January of this year and they came out and fixed it. I was having the similar problem recently and called them again. This time the problem was on the City side, not on my property. Eric and his partner were great in diagnosing the problem quickly and told me that it was the City problem without the charge. I really appreciate their honesty! Thank you!!! :)

Very quick respond and very courteous service.

We had a major backup a couple of days ago and called up Sonic Rooter after reading the reviews here on Unilocal.Erick– their technician came within the hour and got things cleaned up. However, he showed us that there was a blockage and we need to get our drain looked at. Yesterday morning, we had a similar issue. Erick came back and we finally worked out a deal to get a spot repair. However, when he started working on it, he noticed that the sewer pipe was broken and has been leaking for years. He came back today and did a great job. He and his partner did a great job and cleaned up afterwards. I would recommend him and Sonic Rooter to anyone.

Excellent service. Similar concern as previous Unilocaler with the $ 79 lead price and eventually brought it up to $ 169, however they explained that the rooter wasn’t going through so they had to use a camera. The snaked a camera through and found the issue of roots and quoted me the best price to replace the cracked pipe out of 3 other companies. As a matter of fact, one company was charging more than 2x that Sonic Rooter quoted me for. In the end, they removed the pipe and replaced and no more problems since.
Which brings me to my issues with SAN JOSE PLUMBING. I used them for all my plumbing issues for over 5 years and at least 2x per year my plumbing would back up they would come snake my line from the vent for over $ 275/​per. NOT ONCE did they use a camera to identify an issue or be proactive to investigate why it was always backed-​up.

My toilet was leaking for a week. After finally getting tired of replacing buckets and towels under it I decided to get it fixed. I used these guys before and they are near my home so I gave them a call. Called at 9am .they had someone out by 1pm. The job was completed in less than an hr. Pretty straight forward pricing. Quick and easy, love it! Would definitely use them again for these kinds of needs!

Sink and washer machine drain were plugged, called them and they arrived within 2 hours to fix the problem. Quick, painless and reasonable prices.

They told me on the phone the set price $ 79 to clear the blockage on my clean out. They arrived on time. But, when they arrived, they said it would be $ 169 instead. I asked why. They said they would also use a camera to exam the blockage. If I chose not to use the camera, then, it would be $ 79, even though they could not clear the blockage, it would still be $ 79. They were pushing for the camera. My neighbour saw them and advised me not to take the camera but just the sneak to try to clear out the blockage. They were not happy and they push the sneak in. AT first it was hard to get through but just when it started to go in, Vanick the in charged man told the plumber who was doing the sneak to push back and told me that it was not able to clear it up. The whole pine needed to be replaced and it would cost me $ 5500. I told them that was way too expensive. They started to bargain with me on the pricing. How much would I pay to let them do the job, he asked. I didn’t know anything and didn’t do any research yet so I said I would get back to them.
I called the city and they sent someone to inspect it with a camera for free! And, because the water was backing up, there was no way for the camera to see anything. So, those guys who pushed the $ 169 deal on me knew that it was not going to be useful and just wanted to get money out of me. That made me feel so sick in my stomach. These people are bad people. Don’t trust them! All they wanted was money, not to help you. Money hungry people. Sonic Rooter LLC, bad, bad, bad!

Bait and Switch artists is exactly right… they came out 4 hours later than said time and couldn’t get the snake to work. Then one of them went under the house and told me i had a leak in my pipes and showed me pictures of the puddle of water under my house… wanted $ 1600 to fix but would give me 20% discount. Told them I had to call another plumber to get second opinion. Roto Rooter came out and said they could not find any puddles and no leaks… however $ 320 just to snake… then called Hammers handyman and within one hour they snaked it, looked under the house found no leaks, no puddles and charged me ½ the price of Roto Rooter… Scam artists all of them!!!

First they delayed me a day. Then they showed up 3 hours late the second day. I had cancelled just as they pulled up so I decided to get it done by them anyway. The guy had to go on the roof with the snake to get rid of the clog. He took his snake and began slamming with all his might into the pipe. It sound like a sledge hammer. After he had cleared the drain he asked to climb under the house. I thought that was weird but said ok. Turns out that he had broker the piping under the house in 2 different places. Pipe just sheared off. Well the piping was very old (50 some odd years) so it would have started to leak anyway and there were places that were slow leaks for sure but now if I ran the shower or the sink or practically any source it would just pour directly onto the dirt under the house. It was obvious that he had been intent on busting my piping in my humble opinion to create a bigger job ($ 1800).

At the end of the day I wanted two things: drains that worked and a reasonable price.
We had a hiccup in the communication, but at the end of the day, I got what I needed: working drains and a reasonable price.

Sounded great! Called around 8 am, was told that they would be here in 90 minutes. No show! Called again after 11am. Said they were on the way.
Was told that the quoted price was for a «no blade» clean out and it would clear the drain but only open a small hole. They said that for the «blade» clean out, (what all of the other rooter services use!) would be $ 149. When I said I was quoted the $ 65 Unilocal price, he said he had to check. He looked at his phone and said «oh yeah!», but that would be with no blade and they couldn’t guarantee that it would work.
Unprofessional, disrespectful of potential customer’s time and unethical business practices! Maybe I got a bad crew, but burned once and done.

I’ve had previous plumbers come out to snake out the roots in my line a few times before and they told me that I needed to replace my sewer line but their prices were ridiculously high.
I came across Sonic Rooter on Unilocal and decided to call them for a free estimate. They came by the same day and gave me a very reasonable estimate, much less than the other company I called. What I liked about Anthony is that he really knew what he was talking about and I didn’t feel like he was trying to rip me off. I ended up using Anthony and his team for the trench-​less sewer line replacement. They were clean, professional, and I am very pleased with their service! I waited a couple of months before writing this review to make sure that everything was good and it is! No issues since the sewer line replacement.
I’d use Sonic over any other large company, anytime, they are now my go-​to plumbing company.

Our toilet got backed up and I called around and found Sonic Rooter. The sales gentleman was very knowledgeable and helpful. He was able to troubleshoot the issue and came out right away. I was very pleased with the rates he quoted and the work that was done.
