Private tutoring at its best! With over 15 years in the education field, extensive training, an excellent education, and a belief that all students can be successful, I get results. As a California certified multiple subject teacher with a Masters degree I have taught hundreds of students. I specialize in reading, but am skilled in many subject areas. I have taught or tutored students of all levels: from Kindergarten to my current position at a community college. I know how to get to the root of learning difficulties and bring out the best in my students.

Using innovative and engaging methods I make learning fun. I offer personalized plans that focus on the strengths of each student thereby strengthening their skill set and enabling them to have confidence in themselves and their abilities. By enhancing their skills, students will find learning more enjoyable and can realize their true potential.

History

Established in 2000.

I began teaching in 2000, and tutored while I was in college. Also, in order to hone my skills and get additional training, I tutored at Kumon and Huntington Learning. As a certified teacher, I have taught 6 – 12 grade independent studies (for 3 years), 4^th (6 years), 5^th (1 year), and 6^th (1 year).

Business Owner

I have been in education for the past 15 years. I began my career while in college when I privately tutored. Since then I have been a teacher’s aide, have worked at tutoring centers including Kumon and Huntington Learning, and have been an intervention specialist. Additionally, I was a Peace Corps volunteer in Africa where I taught Kindergarten, ESL, computers, and much more. Currently, I am a California certified teacher with a master’s degree in education, and an assistant professor of reading at College of San Mateo.
