The most delicious capriciossa pizza! it reminds me of Italy. The Insalata di Sedano is unexpected and refreshing, and the Insalata di Barbabietole is delicious. I’ve only had delivery out but the service over the phone is lovely.

Not happy that this placed is closed. They had the best pizza in town. I’m addicted to pizza diavola. Please come back!

This review is about the space not the food — That location is cursed!!! I have lived around the corner for almost 25 years and that particular space is a dead zone! No one can make a food establishment work in that space. What amazes me is that the real estate agent doesn’t tell restauranteurs — «DONOTOPEN A RESTAURANTINTHISSPACE».

CLOSED. Too bad, because the pizza was delish. Don’t think there was enough business consistently to be profitable, rents being what they are on Montana. They still have the restaurant in Culver City, though. Forget what it’s called.

Ummmmm I love this place. And when I say place, I mean their delivery. Because although I work right across the street I’ve never been in– my roommate and I order delivery fairly often and having high East Coast pizza standards I very much enjoy BricoLA. The first three times I called and asked for delivery, the incredibly nice and amusing man that answered the phone told me it would be a bit. Every time I said we didn’t mind waiting, he took our order and ended with a very enthusiastic«Okay, 20 minutes!»…and I’ll be damned if they weren’t there on time with smiles. His idea of slow is more impressive than most places’ speedy setting. Pizza is always warm and delicious, I love their margherita. My roommate can’t have cheese so she orders their veggie without and they make it perfectly every time. They’re jolly and enjoyable people here(this extends to the delivery drivers with awesome New York accents that make me smile) and their pizza is great. I may even venture inside the actual restaurant soon.

Best casual upscale pizza place on the Westside. The pizza is perfect every time and the owner is so caring. This place is great to order from or swing by and grab a slice. I can’t say enough good things. And if you are in the mood for a beverage — best selection around. I only wish they open on Mondays!

My lovely lady raves about this place’s gluten free pizza. Quickly greeted by the owner who took my order. Planned on taking at least part of it home, but devoured the entire pie. The homemade basil– olive oil added was a bonus. BricoLA seems to have nailed it. The owner is a friendly guy and shares fun stories. If gluten free is requirement and not a preference, you may want to all ahead to make sure they have the dough that day. Support this lovable, local pizzeria.

This place is pure Amore! Thin Italian style pizza. The tomato sauce is perfect and all the ingredients are fresh. Nothing short of delicious! The gentleman who runs this place is a kind soul who has a subtle sweetness about him. One time I couldn’t decide on which slice I wanted so he just gave me a second one. Another time he just went out of his way to make me feel welcomed as I sat alone in his restaurant.

High-quality, delicious, thin-crusted pizza. We were with our little guy and found BricoLA on Unilocal, which turned out to be an excellent decision. We ordered a large diavola pizza to go and asked if it would be okay if they left a small part plain cheese for our 20 m/o. Instead the owner boxed up a slice of cheese for us to take with us at no cost. How excellent is that. This place deeply cares about their product, so much so that the owner asked how far of a drive we would have before getting home to eat our pizza. I explained it was 2 – 3 miles and so he had the cook bake our a little well done so that it stayed as crispy as possible. You don’t get that service just anywhere. I’m not usually a thin crust fan, but this place is worth a shot. And if you like things a little spicy, try the diavola.

This has been my favorite italian food place in Santa Monica for the 2+ months I’ve spent there. The bolognese is simple, yet executed right. The pizza is just simple and delicious. I’ve eaten there every Thursday night before catching my plane to go home. I wouldn’t have gone somewhere else. And if you can, try to Nutella pizza. That was fun… Of course, I’ve you’re looking for Chicago food, you should really try that in Chicago. This place doesn’t deserve a one-star because it doesn’t serve Chicago italian. Chicago pizza is not even pizza. This is Italian… Like, you know, in Italy. Yes, I’ve been there(Italy) on numerous occasions, North, South, East, West. It’s one of my favorite places on Earth.

Absolutely love this BricoLA! Super cute pizza place with a homey, family-oriented feel. The pizza is some of the best thin-sliced pizza in Santa Monica, with a variety to choose from. The pizza is on display in a case where you can choose your slice for them to heat up for you. It’s rarely super crowded, so you can be in and out in a matter of minutes with your slices. The owner is the sweetest man who always has a smile on his face and is always super outgoing and welcoming to his customers. Definitely recommend this place!

Brico’s serves up some pretty stellar pizza. I’m a big fan of crispy, thin crust pizzas and Brisco specializes in just that. They have pasta and other italian dishes but if I’m coming here I’m going for a big pie. All of the classics are awesome but the bbq chicken is where it’s at. I like anythign and everything on my pizza but even if I’m with picky people that just want cheese or pepperoni that’s fine, too. They’re not as cheap as chains but the pizzas are pretty big and it tastes like they use better ingredients and actual, good cheeses so it’s worth it to me.

First time eating here, even though we pass by regularly. The Barbecue Chicken Pizza was excellent, and the owner is a nice guy that cares about his customers we were able to observe. We will definitely be back.

Best pizza in Santa Monica… truly outstanding varieties, and awesome thin crust. Excellent salads and pizza! A must visit for pizza in SM! Very simple place, and quite small, but great for families or to walk in and grab slices of pizza, and excellent salads! Atmosphere is very casual with chalk all over the walls with Bricola words of wisdom. There is a walk-up counter and pizza display case full of all types of different pizza which they warm up for you, nice and toasty, on the spot. And they have some of the best olive oil(and varieties) to drip on your pizza… try it, so good! The manager/owner behind the counter is excellent… friendly, helpful and talkative. Highly recommend!

BricoLA is simply the best pizza place in L.A. and, I’d say, in California! Their pizza is superb! I’m Italian and I have rarely tasted such a great pizza even in Italy! Their pizza is so fresh, genuine, the crust is so delicious!!! And the ambient is very cool, warm, homey. The owner is a delightful person. I enjoy talking to him every time I go there. We took some friends tonight and we had such a wonderful time! They loved the pizzas and were really surprised you could have such a great pizza in L.A. at such a modest price! I really recommend that place!

Fantastic pizza place and they have also the best gluten free pizza that we have tried so far(and we have tested each and every gluten free pizza in the Los Angeles area). Not only the pizza is great(and I am Italian, I know what a good pizza is) but also the place is very cute and the owner is exceptionally nice, entertaining and charming. A truly Italian pizza experience. Good for pizza with friends or family! They also deliver!

Super cute pizza joint. European pizza in Santa Monica! Went in to grab a bite before an appointment in the area and was pleasantly surprised. I’m more of a deep dish girl, but the thin slices here were really well made. Simple set up. Chalk all over the walls with Bricola words of wisdom. There is a walk-up counter and pizza display case. The display case has different pies hanging out that they warm up when you pick which one you want. Which is good cause the slice comes out nice and hot just for me. The owner behind the counter is great! So much energy and loves to meet people. I wish I had more time to get the story of the place. Every place has a story. :)

BricoLA is all about the pizza — quality toppings and the crust is thin without being a cracker. Sold by the piece, as well as 12″ and 18″ whole pies. Peeps, this is the pizza from Italy — not NY, and not Chicago. However good, I had higher expectations for it’s location. Montana Ave, after all, is filled with boutiques and nice restaurants, and the dividing line between expensive residential apts and condos, and the ultra-beyond expensive houses. It caters to the locals, and of course, the occasional tourist that’s heard about it. The décor is chalkboard walls, large glass windows, cement floors, exposed ceiling pipe, a mix of wood and metal tables with metal chairs, barstools, and cool dark brown stained wood planks — used as a border around the dining room. , and . In the world of pizza, this is more of a lunch place. The kind that might attract a group of teens for a slice or two. While it has a nice urban décor, it’s a café vs a restaurant. This is a place to run in for a casual bite, or call in a take-out order and pick it up. At 745pm on a Friday night, the 3 largest tables were full with 3 – 6 people each. It was kinda hoppin’ and just the right amount of noise. However, by 815pm, they all left. and at a point, I was the only customer. Several people walked in for pick-up orders. Then, just before loneliness took over me, an Italian beauty walked in, and stole the attention of both myself and the manager on-duty. I was non-existent, but I don’t blame them so much. She was nearly a present-day Sophia Loren, and they spoke Italian to each other. I couldn’t tell if they were talking about the old country, or how good the chicken parmigiana was that day, or simply sharing just how good-looking I was — I prefer to think the latter, although I’m not sure what is meant by the pointing in my direction and giggling. For the review, I ordered a little too much — as I had big eyes and wanted to get a good sampling for the review, as well, leftovers for midnight, tomorrow, or the following. 2 slices, and some Bolognese. I like the selection, but I don’t like being served on paper plates, nor paper cups for an accompanying soda. Until the Bombshell walked in, the service was super nice and accommodating. When the slices were brought to my table, they showed me «how it’s done» — pouring some of their basil-infused olive oil atop(aka, «Gold» ). I added«the real thing» parm(strong and odoriferous), and red pepper flakes. 1. Mushroom slice: the mushrooms were sliced thin, but a nice amount of them… and the crust is perfection. Note: Too excited and too hungry to take a pic. 2. Ham and Veggie slice: excellent, and quality ingredients. Went down super nicely. 3. Pasta w/Bolognese: not very meaty, the sauce was nearly a Vodka sauce(not too tomatoey, and slightly creamy in flavor), but with an overwhelming taste of the basil-olive oil. The pizza, without a doubt, is worthy, but BricoLA could never be a 5-star in my book. No beer or wine is served here, which is always nice to pair with pizza or pasta. Paper plates, and paper cups will not get you there. You want a better rating, serve me your food on big boy plates.

A must try! Incredibly friendly staff and owner, quality service and delicious thin crust pizzas, salads, homemade chocolate chip cookies. I travel the world and would say the fresh ingredients are some of the best. Will be going back. Mangia!

BricoLA moved in the spot which was once occupied by Stefan’s on Montana. They are relatively new and I sure hope they work out the kinks. The menu is a wealth of creative selections from sandwiches, spunchetto(s), salads, pizza, pastas, cookies and panini. No liquor, yet, but excellent coffee The person serving us was clearly first day on the job.(Else her passport wouldn’t have been sticking out of her pocket. My guess is 2 of the front counter folks were on Day 1 or 2. There are 2 ways to order: Slices from the case or order from the above off the menu. I was very hungry, so we went opted for the case. We opted for the slice from the case. We tried the«Capricciosa”-Tomato sauce, mozzarella, proscuitto cotto, artichokes, black olives and mushroom and the«Diavalo”-tomato sauce, mozzarella, spicy salami, red onions and some red chili flakes. Both are excellent and quick. The slices are $ 3.75 each and 2 is really filling. Next time, I will do one plus salad. We also tried something from the case which was tomato sauce, eggplant and mozzarella in a roll and looked like a piece of an ahi tuna roll. The owner came over and spoke to us and he’s truly Italian and a really nice person. By the way, their ice tea is home-made and excellent. We were too full to try the cookies, but we did the cappuccino, which is extremely hot, but excellent. The next time, I will order from the menu and be more patient. I thought the pricing was excellent. For example, a 12 inch pizza ranges from $ 8-$ 17 with most being $ 12 or $ 13. Sandwiches are $ 4-$ 6. Salads are $ 7-$ 9 and pasta is $ 11-$ 13. All ingredients are fresh farm-raised versus factory style. Ambiance needs work: There are only 3 tables inside and 2 outside. All of the rest of the seating is barstools and a wall counter as well as a middle counter. The layout is sub-optimal if they plan on being busy, but there’s a sign in the window offering delivery. As we were leaving a family came in with about 5 yelling kids and the place can be incredibly noisy due to the concrete floors,(and mom who couldn’t manage to say«no») This is an excellent work in progress with positive first signs! The passion and energy are here!
