This Chinese restaurant is pretty similar to Panda Express. It is not authentic Chinese food but it would do for a quick lunch.

Why is this place still in business? The food overall is bland and unappetizing. The general tso is mostly breading, and was soggy from the sauce. Yet somehow it still lacks any taste other than salt? The rice is bad, Mcdonalds breakfast rice is way better. Its sometimes chalky and at other times rubbery. Ive tried the noodles but they’re very plain and greasy. I used to live near a manchu wok that was amazing, the food was always delicious no matter what time of the day and the service was always fast. I know you wont get the same results everywhere but this place is just so far off from what it should be. The cabbage in the eggrolls doesnt even taste like cabbage anymore. I have no idea what theyre doing in the kitchen but they’re not doing it right. Idk why I’ve tried it multipule times hoping the experience will be different but I have given up. Especially since another reviewer mentioned finding a worm in their food?! Yuck. Put something else here please!

I had the honey garlic chicken with fried rice for lunch. I’ll start with the fried rice. It was plain tasting with dried out peas and carrots. Tasted like regular rice with a little shoyu. The chicken was not very good either tasted like something out of a frozen dinner plate from the store. I wish I looked at the rating of this place before I bought it.

I’ve had good experiences here and then the bad as well. Honestly just walk a couple steps over and go somewhere else.

Really friendly customer service. The food is your average food court Asian food. I do have to say that the orange chicken is the best I’ve ever had. It actually has an orange and citrusy taste to it.

Plain, no flavor. The worse Chinese food.

Have to agree with all the other reviewers here. I think the worst thing on both main items I had(pepper beef and mushroom chicken) was the sauce. I’m pretty sure it was the same sauce for both — bland and overpoweringly salty. The noodles tasted old and had a weird texture. I’m sure they’d spent quite a while under the hot lights. Never again!

I’ve tried almost everything this place has to offer, hoping that MAYBE I’d like one of their items. but nope, sucks everytime. Not only this location, fort hood and fort Lewis too. the fried rice is SO bland, and everything else makes me wanna gag. Even being super hungry today, I had to force 3 – 4 bites of the meal I ordered but couldn’t take anymore. the bites I did take ended up in my napkin. I vow that today will be the LAST time ill ever order from this place. guess I’ll have to just drive off post for lunch if I want my Asian fix.

Soooooo freakin HUNGRY today and I was NOT in the mood for a sandwich or fries… did I really just say I wasn’t in the mood for fries?! LOL ok so I wanted RICE or a PLATELUNCH style meal so my only choice while at the food court at Schofield was Manchu Wok. Service… okay. Nothing spectacular. Hey my first job was McDonalds… but I always kept a smile on my face while at work! Smiles are infectious(most of the time…) Anywho, I got a two item entrée with starch. I chose the fried rice, chicken with mushrooms, and fried chicken wings. I had to wait for a fresh order of chicken with mushrooms because they were out… and there were only 2 chicken wings left(supposed to get 3 per order) so I had an option to wait or get a breaded boneless chicken crisper in place of the wing. I took the sub chicken crisper. I waited about 5 minutes for my food. Sat down to eat because my tummy was grrrooowwwling… and was completely let down. The fried rice literally had NOTASTE. It’s just rice with a few peas and carrots. The chicken with mushrooms… well, the mushrooms weren’t even cooked for one, and two, the sauce is so overpowering it’s ridiculous! What is it with this place… either no flavor or too much flavor! The chicken crisper lacked flavor but I had sweet n sour sauce to dip it in… and the chicken wings were juicy and tasted okay. All in all, a major disappointment and my tummy was definitely not satisfied. I should’ve eaten a sandwich and fries. MEH. Hey Manchu Wok… you could learn a thing or two from Panda Express!

Even fresh out of the kitchen the fried rice has no flavor. The noodles have even less to reccomended. They have white rice in a steamer behind the line, you just have to ask for it. The best deal going is to order a to go container of one item. You have to skip the starch entirely, but you wont be missing much. This might be one of the few places that I will suggest the sweet and sour chicken. They use only white meat, and though it is heavily fried they use good pieces, so there are no bad bits. The sauce is on the side, so I’ve never bothered to try it. It appears to be a standard sweet and sour, but I prefer to use the packet of spicy sauce. Good luck!
