History

Established in 2015.

The lead instructor and owner, Stefan Schmidt, has been teaching sailing for 10 years. His experience is diverse, teaching ages 7 to 67 years old on a wide variety of watercraft. He started instructing after learning to sail at Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA. Shortly after, he spent three years in Japan and taught regularly on Tokyo bay. He established Bluebird Sailing to offer high quality, highly accessible, fun lessons.
