CLOSED. It’s no longer in Uwajimaya like another poster said. I guess it’s out of business, which is a shame because they had nice people working there. I always liked Gossip better, but the girls that worked at Honeymoon Tea Co were almost always more polite. Also I don’t know why the fountain was removed from the food court either.

CLOSED. There’s some happenings in the Uwajimaya Food Court, the fountain got taken out and the bubble tea stand is completely gone. In the course of a week! So long Honey Moon Tea! Now I have to walk across the street for my bubble tea fix after lunch. Sad times.

I just finished having dinner with my gay boyfriend #2(GBF#2) when all of a sudden I wanted ice cream. Have you ever craved ice cream after having dinner in the ID? You know what, it’s not easy to find. Sure they have bubble tea and mochi and other yucky to me things but honest to goodness ice cream it’s almost impossible for me to find. But Honey Moon Tea Co, in the Uwajimaya food court, came to my rescue. And the scooper girl was pretty damn funny. OK so it’s not real honest to goodness ice cream they have but it was the closest thing we could find. I needed samples to help make my decision. First I tried the green tea, too dense; I wasn’t a big fan of their green tea ice cream. Next I had to try the mango, which technically isn’t ice cream but sorbet, and you know what I didn’t care because I loved it, so fresh and fruity unlike my GBF#2, he’s a little fresh but not fruity at all. Than I see Mexican chocolate and I have to ask for a sample of that too, I was warned by the cute scooper girl that it was gross but as my GBF#2 knows how I feel about the Mexicans so I had to try it, you know what the scooper girl was right it was nasty actually it was no bueno. So I went for the mango, GBF#2 went for the green tea and the cute scooper girl thought we were on a date and made my GBF#2 pay for my ice cream. And so I give them four stars because the cute scooper girl got my GBF#2 to buy me my scoop. :)

How cute is this bubble tea shop name? It deserves the title for Best Bubble Tea in Seattle, I think their black milk tea(called Honey Milk Tea here) is the best I’ve had in awhile. The bubbles are chewy and not overdone. I love how its conveniently nestled in Uwajimaya and I knew it had to be good bubble tea when I saw many people drinking it while shopping. At first, I almost balked at the $ 2.74 price, I figure with competition, bubble tea should be cheaper — then I saw the size of the cup! That’s almost a venti-sized portion! But damn it tastes good going down. Thumbs up! This is a must-go if you’re in town.

For some reason, this place often gets my drink order wrong. Maybe it’s because I order green apple with black tea, and they get green apple and green tea confused? Or maybe it’s because the girl who works there always seems distracted when taking orders? In any case, this is my 2nd fave boba place(in downtown Seattle) next to Gossip. The tapioca balls are not as flavorful as Gossip’s are, but at least they’re not over– or undercooked like the ones at Oasis. What stands out at this place is that when you order green apple flavor, you get tiny chunks of green apples in your drink. Likewise, when you order lychee, you get bits of lychee in your drink.

Bubble Tea stand in the Uwajimaya food court. On a first visit my Lemon Green Tea was quite tasty and refreshing. Nice balance of sweet and tart. Not as tart as what I got at Oasis across the street. On a second visit my drink seemed a bit watered down. This stand sticks out into the dining around of the food court so while waiting for your drink, you end up standing right next to someone eating or next to a trash can. Not ideal, but not a huge problem.

I have to agree with Margarita. This is the best bubble tea in Seattle. It’s not overly sweet and there’s no odd after taste. Just bubble tea awesomeness. I’m pretty boring. I always go for the plain ol’ Honeymoon Milk Tea which is just unflavored milk tea. Yes, add the pearls, please. My boyfriend’s preference is without. I also have to mention their slushy milk tea which has a thick slurpee-like texture. It’s soooo good. It’s also pricey which is why I never get it. Ah well. The only drawback to this place is that it closes early-ish(when the Uwajimaya food court closes) so late-night bubble tea cravings must be sated by Oasis(right across the street.) Don’t forget to have your frequent buyer card stamped.
