I bought a Living Social deal and called them several times spanning several days.
When I finally got a hold of someone they told me «Sorry we don’t service your area»
Thanks alot. They didn’t call back. I just kept calling them for several days until I reached someone. They said that there was an error on the Living Social website and several hundred people also have the same problem. Well they could have called back. More than 24 hours to call back is unprofessional and unacceptable. This was weeks after I bought the deal.

I was generally happy, but communication has been downhill lately. I used to get regular reminders, but I’ve had to call and double check our cleaning dates. I rescheduled my last cleaning and no one showed up. I called twice and e-​mailed and still haven’t heard back.
For a while we had April, who I loved, but she left. We had another fairly steady cleaner, but he left too. The quality can be good and other times, just so-​so. In general, the lack of consistency leads me to think it’s time to change.

We used Sage for my company, and I don’t know when we started using them (because I replaced somebody at the company who took care of this) but I cannot say I am happy with the recent services from Sage.
I started noticing that with our bi-​weekly cleaning, things were not being cleaned and for the price we paid, I wanted to double check. They sent me a cleaning check-​list, and yes, things were not being cleaned, or, there were items on the list that didn’t apply to our office setting (like blinds being cleaned when we don’t have blinds on the windows). I called to check in and it was difficult to get a hold of anybody. I had to leave several messages, and call the invoicing staff to try to get a hold of a representative.
When I did get a hold of a person, we updated the things that I did and didn’t want done, however, Sage did not seem that bothered by the fact that tasks weren’t being completed. There was no offer of a discount or sending a team back. I ended up calling back a week or so later to change our service plan because what we were paying wasn’t worth it for what they were (and weren’t) cleaning. Some things I was disappointed with that weren’t being done were things like: no spot cleaning of walls near areas like the bathroom sink or the wall by the garbage can in the kitchen, sweeping (and not sweeping under tables where dust bunnies hide around cords and in corners… actually, I’m not sure they sweet/​mop/​swiffer at all, to be honest), not restocking paper products that are kept stored in the closet, and not vacuuming all the rugs on the floor.
Because I can do a likewise job myself, I decided that I could save the company money and lower our plan to bathroom/​kitchen only for once a month. After the first visit on the new plan, I was again disappointed to find our cleaner still did not complete all of the tasks on the checklist. My representative did not offer me a discount on services after my complaint and only offered to send her out again to do it over. He did point out that she did *more* than she was supposed to because she emptied all of the trashes in the office. To me, that does not make it up. I did not want her to come back and I had to reluctantly cancel and asked for a partial refund of services not completed. He had to talk to his manager to find out what kind of partial refund/​discount they could offer me. Instead of a call back, I received the full price invoice.
After calling back with questions about the full price invoice, he was confused that I would have had that happen. He let me know that it should have been $ 60 instead of the usual $ 65. I only received a 5 dollar discount. When I asked if that’s really all he could do, he informed me that he was unable to get in touch with his manager about more of a refund than that.
Perhaps Sage is better at private home cleaning because I’m not sure that I would recommend them for office cleaning. Or, maybe they like office cleaning because nobody follows up on their performance. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend them based on my relationship with them.

This company is amazing! I bought a Groupon discount cleaning as a pre-​wedding present for my fiancée. I figured having a really clean apartment would impress our guests and take a lot of stress off us, since we were getting married at home. We both have disabilities that make a deep cleaning next to impossible as well. So we definitely needed the help.
I went to the website to schedule it, and they were booked out solid, well past our wedding date. In a panic, I emailed them. Within an hour, customer service had managed to squeeze us into their daily cleaning schedule. I was SO grateful to them. They did everything possible to make our wedding go off great, short of sending the CEO out to clean the apartment themselves. :)
The cleaners who came were super nice and professional. They even talked to us about ways to keep our apartment cleaner that would be easy on us physically. We tipped them as best as we could, and I gave them a huge bag of M&Ms too. I felt like it still wasn’t enough to prove how grateful I was for their thoughtfulness and consideration.
The most important thing about how helpful they were is that the Groupon was the only way I could afford for them to come out. I’m on a fixed income due to disabilities, so I can’t pay their going rate. But my wife and I are both so grateful to the gracious folks at Sage for fitting us into their routine, and giving their best wishes for our happiness.
It’ll be one year of marriage in December. Even though our apartment has never been as clean as it was after Sage visited, we’re still there together. And we always remember how you took time out for two people who couldn’t have afforded your services any other way.
By the way, I wouldn’t wish having to clean our shower on anyone. But the ladies were professional and didn’t make a face about it once. :) THAT takes experience and I guess having seen a lot worse things. (I hope)

The owner contacted me on Unilocal,offering to send someone else out to reclean. I haven’t had occasion to take her up on this but it does bode well that she wants to make things right… I’ll let you know if I ever do it!

I just had someone out from Sage, and they did an excellent job! My home is neat and clean, and smells nice. It was obvious to me that this cleaner had a lot of experience, cared about what my place looked like, and was very professional.
My floors are clean, both the hardwood entry and my carpets. My kitchen is spotless, you can tell that the cleaner moved the kettle, toaster and décor around so she could clean off the counters. The bathroom looks great, no spots were missed.
After my last experience with Sage, the owner contacted me and apologized for the poor cleaning job. They explained that they had to increase their staff to meet the demand of the living social promotion, and one of their newly hired teams received a few negative reviews. The owner said they let that team go, and offered to send out someone else to re-​clean my unit. The difference in professionalism and thoroughness of this house cleaner was quite evident.
I really appreciate that Sage took it upon themselves to make sure that I was satisfied with their service. They admitted that there was a problem, explained why, apologized and resolved it. The owner clearly takes great pride in her business. I am very impressed, and I wish more businesses behaved like Sage.
I would not hesitate to use them again in the future!

My apartment has never been cleaner! Sage was easy to contact and schedule my cleaning, and they did a fantastic job, with great attention to detail. I recommend them without reservation!

The 2 people that came out were very friendly but pretty incompetent. And I don’t know how they can say they are environmentally friendly. I came into the kitchen to find the man using some caustic oven cleaner on my nonstick cooktop AND using one of those very abrasive green scouring pads so the top is all scratched up. I think the spray he used clogged up some of the gas burners because they aren’t working properly. When I asked what products they were using he just showed me unmarked bottles. They were ready to leave after less than 2 hours, for a large house, and when I checked their list I could see many things checked off that hadn’t been done. I also paid extra to have the interior windows done and she didn’t even do half of them. They were willing to stay but communication was a problem since English was a very distant 2^nd language. I didn’t call the company to report because I didn’t want them to send over any other incompetents.

This was an absolutely awful experience!!!
The 2 very sweet ladies created a ton of work for me. They left a checklist of things they «cleaned» which were blatant lies. Everything glass or mirror was smeared and needed cleaned. Floors looked like they were smeared with a muddy sponge.
After I contacted them they were very apologetic. I emailed multiple photos showing exactly what my house looked like.
I requested a refund. After multiple attempts to get a response for a refund I finally gave in and agreed to a re-​clean. Now she says I might get a discount but not a re-​clean because it had been 4 weeks of trying to get a refund.
So I had to re clean my house. I have had weeks of dealing with Sage people who really don’t care.

We can recommend Sage without any reservations. LOVE THEM!!!
We own an art gallery and had the cleaning done in-​house for about one year. It’s a large gallery — about 4,000 square feet. We have events in the space regularly, from our own art events to weddings, corporate & private parties and events, etc. We have two bathrooms, a prep area for catering, and a full bar/​lounge.
Typically, our events end sometime between 10pm and 4am, and we need the space cleaned right away so it is ready to go first thing the next day. We prep the space for cleaning by moving all our things into storage or as much off the floor as possible.
We decided to outsource the deep cleaning after events as the number of events was growing and the cleaning was becoming a burden. We tried four other services before Sage. We tried owner-​operators, we tried other services.
None of them worked out. They either no-​showed, did a poor job, or had too many restrictions on when they could work, etc. We interviewed probably another 10 services — none of them passed.
Our standards are pretty high — we need our gallery CLEAN.
I interviewed Julie in the space. She is calm and smart. She looked around and quoted me on the spot — she knows what she is doing.
The first time the cleaner came out Julie was with him. They did a great job. I was cautiously optimistic.
Since then Sage has cleaned the space probably 20 times. They have been flexible and very responsive to changes in schedule and unscheduled events.
Each time the space has been cleaned to our standards.
Julie and Mattie are both VERY responsive and great to work with.
I can’t imagine contemplating switching services. And the pricing is competitive.

This has to have been the worst cleaning service I have EVER encountered. Not only did I have to start vacuuming to get it done properly, but I had to show the cleaner three times that the book shelves were not dusted. And after she left, I discovered she still had not completed the third shelf. Although there were two ladders and a stool available, none were touched until I dragged the step ladder into from the other room and placed it right in front of one cleaner. The bathtub chrome was not cleaned, much less polished; wide swaths of dust covered the floor underneath the dressers, which have 4“legs so it was quite noticeable. I pointed out that the two shelves over the bed had not been cleaned and wiped my finger across one to demonstrate. When I came back to check, I saw that one had been cleaned, but not the other, showing a total lack of common sense. One half of the dual kitchen sink was left totally filthy underneath the compost pail, with large chunks of vegetable and other matter. Underneath the wheeled bar, there were huge dust bunnies and a bits of a glass that I had broker earlier. The fridge was wiped down, but not the bottom freezer, which still had bits of dirt and whatever. Cabinet fronts also had to wiped down. They never got around to cleaning the windows, which was an add-​on service.
I called and emailed several times, and sent photos, but they said were booked until the next week. I tried to give them the benefit of a doubt, as I know how these coupons can really screw over a company. but in the end, I realized that had this been my company, I would have come out myself to rectify things.
I spent the next cleaning the house as I had a photo shoot for the house on Sunday. I am the world’s slowest cleaner, which is why I took advantage of the coupon offer. But had I have known that it would end up costing me an entire day, and having to cancel several freelance jobs, I would have gladly deleted the email, and hired the more expensive service I usually use.
I don’t know why there was such a discrepancy between the service I received and the service received by the other reviewers. But all I can say is buyer beware.

I would also rate the service as MORE than five stars. The first time Sage came to clean my 3 bedroom home, I hardly recognized the the place when it was done, it was so neat and orgnanized. But after the deap clean my home was so immaculate it looked as if we had just moved in. I can’t wait to call on them again! By far they are the best house cleaning experience I have ever had.

If there were MORE than 5 stars, I’d give them! WE are first time «Vacation Home owners.» We started with a different «cleaning crew,» which ended up being a MESS! (Not showing up, forgetting laundry in the dryer, NO big deal, if we lived there, but WE DIDN’T.) So we needed competent, trustworthy, and AMAZING new cleaning crew. Thank goodness we found SAGE Env. Services.
Julie and her business partner, Jamie, came to the house to assess the situation. They were lovely. Julie had her laptop, so I knew there would be no questions about when to show up. (They also listened as I went on and on about this or that!!) :-)
And Mattie, in the office. Bless her heart! She has been so helpful in providing a schedule for our new clients, our changing situations, and helping organize Felisha’s schedule to save us $$! WHO does that?!
And Felisha: AWESOME~ she does such a great job cleaning the house and also mows the lawn, takes out the trash, and takes care of gardening.
And the price? After the «extras» they provide, it’s is still LESS EXPENSIVE than our first cleaners.
If you need CLEANING… homes, apts, WHATEVER… CALL SAGE!
