Looking to tile our shower. Nicole extremely helpful as she had opinions and suggestions. Return policy is 30 days so just make sure you return in time. Overall good experience.

This whole kitchen renovation has been way more work than anticipated… but luckily I had Renee to help me out who made my life so much easier.
I came in here not having any idea of what I was looking for, with only a little square of quartz counter top to help in my selection process.
Renee was totally awesome and gave me some really great ideas and helped me to narrow down my options to a few that I absolutely loved. The tile is really high quality and looks fantastic in our new kitchen!
The reasons for docking a star — I know that I didn’t have the specific measurements of the kitchen and had guesstimated but I ended up needing to place a second order of more than 50% of the tiling. Because it was special ordered, it took about a week for it to get there. For some reason, they didn’t have my phone number in the book so I had to call to see if it was ready which it was.
Other than that, I’m really happy with my choice. To be honest, I have no idea what other tiling costs… ours was about $ 1,000 for a full backsplash, maybe a little less.

I decided to make a review because all these bad reviews make me hesitate to go tile for less at the beginning. I am glad I didn’t rely on these. My experience was awesome. Since I have entered salesman Randy offered his help which I appreciate a lot. I was walking for all the store and enjoyed all the selections. Prices are really good, great clearance selection and designs. I have visited a lot if tiles store (this year I upgraded two kitchens :0, lot of searching for the right ones) and for sure you will be saving a lot if you buy here. I found a beautiful backsplash for my kitchen and I can’t wait to see them on place: D

We went to their free tile class a bit ago and during said class the feller teaching it said they would cut the backer board to size so we figured all was good.
Tough to drag some 4×4 sheets of time backer I’m my Subaru and all.
Went to get supplies and the same guy acted like I was bothering him when I was dropping 500 on tile.
I asked if they will cut the backer board and he replies «well we won’t but you can»
Gee thanks pal…
Good selection of time, customer service needs some work though.
I’ll stick with Home Depot next time.
At least they act like they care.

I’ve had a difficult time finding the back splash I want and came close at $ 22+ a sq.ft. which is a bit over my budget… well quite a bit. Before giving up and «settling» on something that would have worked, I went to Tile For Less. They had exactly what I was looking for at $ 8.99 a sq. ft. and I like it better than anything I’ve seen. I am so happy right now! And as for the customer service: it was helpful, friendly, not pushy, and overall just fine.

I’ve been a satisfied customer for several years now but today, they exceeded my expectations. I can’t say enough about Tony at the Bothell, WA. store. I’ve been working on a bathroom remodel and ended up needing 30 additional pieces of Marble asap. I called Tony late yesterday afternoon but it was too late to get the order on a truck for delivery today. Tony decided he would pickup the order himself and drop it at the Bothell store… on his day off ! Who does that? The staff at Bothell is great but Tony ought to get «Employee of the Month» if they have such a thing. Thanks again Tony for awesome customer service.

Complete remodel and design of our entire home, no easy task! Once we were ready to pick colors and finishes, we decided tile would be the best for us. Quality, appearance, and budget! However, looking into all of the different options became a little over whelming especially when your first stop is Home Depot and not one person in the department is a «Tile Expert». We then looked into Tile For Less. What a God send! We were greeted promptly, and in no time had our selections narrowed down. We had a budget and they were great about not going over while still matching our needs. Both my husband and I would recommend TILE FOR LESS to anyone and everyone! Even if it’s a small project you have in mind, it’s definitely worth looking into!

Great selection… especially backsplash. The staff are great and helpful.
But the prices were way too high., which seems to contradict their name. Tile for Less. Most of the backsplash I found were $ 30 plus dollars a sheet (12″ x 12″). I needed 30 sheets. At minimum would have been $ 900 total.
Went to Lowes and found a great selection and picked one very similar to what was $ 40 per sheet at Tile for Less. At lowes it was $ 12 per sheet. And very good quality. Even my contractor was surprised and impressed.

I used Tile for Less to redo my kitchen counters and backsplash recently. We used their min-​slab granite tiles, which are an awesome way for DIYers to make granite countertops that look great for a lot less than a custom slab costs. I am really surprised to see that people complain about their customer service, because I thought that they were exceptionally helpful. I had never worked with tile before, and they walked me through the process, and all of the tools and materials that I would need. They also give you a free one-​day tile saw rental when you buy tiles. I picked the tiles up on a Saturday, and since they are closed on Sunday, we had the saw until Monday mid-​day at no charge! One other thing is that they let you return tiles, so you can buy more than you think you will actually need, and just return the extra at the end of the project. I used this feature to take home some tiles to try out in my kitchen before jumping into the project. I highly recommend.

For the most part this store is ok. Every time I have called the women have been so rude on the phone. It is as if they don’t want business. They hang up without a good bye and are not friendly or helpful. I have started going to Home Depot despite the fact they are more expensive.

Decent selection, TERRIBLE customer service.
They are slow, not very knowledgeable and not helpful. Additionally, they seem really itching to go home an hour before their closing time.
I get the feeling the owner is never there and the employees dont have much guidance.
Prices are decent for the area, not cheap, not expensive.

This is a good a medium quality tile store. Cheaper than the high end places that really market things up but more expensive typically than the big box retailers like Home Depot or Lowe’s.
Worth stopping at as a potential source for tile and advice. You may get good advice for DIY projects. But maybe not since they are so discount oriented. If you really know what you are doing than this is an alternative supplier to consider.

Great service and decent prices. Bought some granite tiles the other day and didn’t really know what I was looking for. The staff were very helpful in helping me select the right stone. Thank you Tile For Less, I will be back for my next project!

Great place to buy tiles. Great selection, helpful staff. I could not make up my mind on which tiles would be perfect for my project. I asked the staff and they actually picked out the tiles that I ended up using. These guys have great taste. My project is finished and looks great. I had a bunch of extra tile. They take returns! Seattle has lots of tile store choices and you should definitely add these guys to your shopping list.
I love the reviews below complaining about the prices of accessories. Nobody forced you to go in here and buy a sponge. If it is cheaper elsewhere, go there and buy it. Is it really worth saving $ 1.00 to make a separate trip to another store to buy a sponge? Nope.

The guys at Tile for Less are super knowledgeable. They are always willing to give you advice and lend their expertise. The staff goes above and beyond to help you out on all your tiling projects. Noël and Jimmy are my go to guys whenever I have tiling questions. Thanks TFL!

I’ve had a wonderful experience with this company, for years. I found myself in the middle of an unplanned shower re-​tile project about two years ago, and while they couldn’t find an exact match for my tile (which was about 30 years old and is no longer made) they were able to order one that I liked even better. When the manufacturer was out of the edge tile I needed, they helped me come up with a cool design with another tile, to cheaply solve the problem (and keep the project on schedule.)
Fast forward two years later and I’m in the middle of *another* issue with the shower where we had to open the wall (ah, the joys of owning a home) and I’ve called them 4 or 5 times in two weeks, just asking for advice. I had enough tile left over from the last project that I’m not even ordering any more — but they are still happy to answer all of my «do it yourself» questions.
I went in to ask more questions, and the employee even gave me the tile order information so that worse case scenario I can call and order from them (over the phone) if I don’t end up with enough tile saved to finish the project.
Every employee I’ve ever dealt with at Tile for Less is professional, knowledgeable, friendly and exceptionally helpful. It may be a chain, but it’s not home depot — it feels like a small, local business. I’m not sure why James R. had such a negative experience (which is unfortunate) but I have to agree with everyone else that this is an excellent choice.

My wife and I went to Tile for Less and worked with Noël to buy the tiles for a basement bathroom floor. Good customer service, quick pick up and payment. Noël hooked us up with Randy and Mike at Lakeshore Tile who did fantastic job installing and we love our new floor. Randy and Mike were friendly and they’ve got the level of experience one would want for an installer. All in, we spent just a little bit less than budgeted so that worked out well too.

After shopping around, I realized this place is not a good bet
Tile for Less is good for one thing. If you need supplies same-​day, and you don’t want to settle for the DalTile selection at crappy Home Depot, this is a good bet. They have a plentiful selection of standard and somewhat non-​standard tiles, but the closer you get to the non-​standard, the more the «for Less» part of their name is just an empty draw.
That said, I’m 97% done with a bathroom that has a lot of tile, and Tile for Less didn’t do more than make a very brazen attempt to rip me off. Read more on that below (short story for lazy people: Don’t fall for the epoxy grout pitch). You can do much better online for tiles, and it’s always better to stay local (Tile for Less is a chain based in Phoenix) at places like Art Tile or someplace similar.
For tile, again their selection is fine. For my money, though, I would rather work directly with a supplier. I went with Hakatai tile, based somewhere in Oregon. They’re experts, and they sell to individuals for the same rate they charge retailers. You’ll pay more dealing with a retailer, like 50% more. I ran into a situation where they warned me against pulling tile from 2 different die lots and guided me toward the perfect solution. I would guess that a retailer wouldn’t know, and potentially wouldn’t care, about die lots and similar manufacturing issues. They also have an unpublicized free shipping promotion that saved me an additional $ 500 over the course of my project, just buy in orders higher than $ 200. The shipping was so fast it was almost rude to accept the freebie. The three times I ordered, everything arrived within 3 business days. I was aghast, in a good way.
The reason I don’t give this place the «ok fine» 3-​star rating is that they are pitching epoxy grout to people like me that don’t know better. Epoxy grout has a number of very positive advantages over the standard stuff, but those advantages are only really useful for very heavily surfaces like a counter top in a restaurant. This place pushes it on you from jump street and has a whole demo set up to walk you through (paying for) special trowels, sponges, solvents to clean up, etc. Granted, it’s probably the best product out there, but it’s like driving a tank to the grocery store to keep your eggs safe on the drive home. The kicker for the store, it costs 10x as much as sanded/​unsanded grout before you kick in all the extra money for their additional special products. For my project, I would have probably spent over $ 600 on grout before we were done, where I will probably be fine with the $ 52 I reluctantly spent at Home Depot (the installer insisted, I normally patronize smaller local stores).
One good thing before I finish trashing TfL… They do accept returns. This wouldn’t be an issue if they didn’t push $ 400 in grout on me, but I’m glad I don’t have to suck up the cost or pay a restocking fee.
Bottom Line: OK in a pinch, but their gougey sales tactic and chain-​store feel give me a belly-​ache. This is really a place for rookies, but an informed customer can school him/​herself out of rookie status after about a half hour of Google searches online.

Tiles for Less is the place to go I bought beautiful marble and granite tiles for my kitchen and bathroom for a great price! They also hooked me up with an awesome contractor Lakeshore Tile. Then to top it all off, I got a coffee card for my business! For a single woman who has no knowledge of tile installation, I was put at ease and now have a beautiful kitchen and bathroom.

Awesome service and very knowledgeable. Noël helped us tremendously on our condo tiling project. He hooked us up on free saw rental for multiple occasions; even got a Starbucks gift card last Christmas since we’ve spent so much money. Highly recommend this place for anyone who has a tiling project on mind.
