Tree Cycle

During a severe windstorm this fall, part of our 50 year old plum tree fell down. Due to concerns that the other half would fall on someone, we were eager to have the tree removed.
We called a handful of tree removal services. A surprising amount didn’t respond, and, among those that did, no one followed-​up when they said they would. The sole exception was Tree Cycle. They responded to my voice mail. Showed up when they said they would. Gave a clear written estimate, and removed the tree on the day and at the time that they said they would. The yard was also left shockingly clean. Finally, the final price was exactly what was quoted and was literally two and a half times less than another quote that I received.
I’m completely satisfied because Tree Cycle did exactly what they said they would do with no surprises. As long as I’m in Seattle and Tree Cycle is in business, I would never look elsewhere for tree removal services.

I wish I could leave a positive review, but I also received the «your project is outside the scope of what we’re focusing on» email response. Their website says «Owner and operator, Peter Gruenwoldt, is on every job and a job is never finished until you are satisfied. I understand a company needing to turn down some jobs, but we are getting quotes on removing almost half of a giant Siberian Elm that hangs over two houses– it will be a pretty big job. I was surprised it wasn’t big enough for what these guys do, given the description on their site.
I will add in that the email response was very polite and professional. I just think the website should be updated to indicate the services offered.

I had been talking with Tree Cycle amongst several other companies to get quite a bit of tree work done at my home. Peter the arborist was for the most part really quick in doing the on-​site inspection and writing up the quote. They were not the cheapest, but they were not the most expensive either. Plus they were more responsive than several other companies which really helped the decision.
I ended up having an open day on a Friday, gave these guys a call the day before and they were able to schedule me in due to a cancellation they had. It worked out perfect. The actual guys that came out to do the work were all great. They worked hard all day and had a great attitude. I will definitely keep Tree Cycle in mind for some work on the jungle of a backyard.

These guys were wonderful! We had to remove two 40 – 50′ trees from right next to our house. Tree Cycle was the only company we contacted who came out to give us a bid within a few days (the others took much longer, if they came at all), and their price was significantly lower than all the others. In the days leading up to the tree removal they were in good communication (primarily through email). They gave us lots of options as to whether or not we wanted to keep the wod or have it delivered elsewhere for free. Tree Cycle also handled all the permitting, which was very convenient. On the day of, they had the job done in less than four hours. All of our neighbors were very impressed by their efficiency. All of the gentleman who came to do the job were very friendly and professional. I would absolutely recommend Tree Cycle to anyone looking to remove trees, and if the need ever arises will definitely be a repeat customer.

Tree cycle are amazing the best job ever they removed 1 huge tree like 4 stories high and two others including a tree house. The price was really good compared to the other quote I had and they were on time and super efficient and quick.
So pleased. They get very busy so you may have to wait a while or they may decline your business which is what happened with me but I persisted. It’s worth waiting they are amazing and also Removed the stumps completely with no damage to our house

Tree Cycle removed 2 very large trees from my yard last November. We could not have been more happy with their work, they were a pleasure to deal with. Shaina is the office manager and managed the process for us expertly, and was very upfront about what to expect. The workers who removed the trees were prompt, thorough, courteous, and extremely professional.

Wow! Tree Cycle almost makes me wish we had more trees our yard that needed assistance. Just kidding about the trees, but these people are amazing. They promptly returned our emails/​calls, immediately got us on their calendar, got us a very reasonable estimate, sent out an incredibly professional crew, and that crew even took away some branches we’d cut down on our own that wouldn’t fit into our yard waste bin.
This tree was H.U.G.E., not in great health, and wedged in between a hot tub and our home. They took every precaution to make sure the home and hot tub were completely protected.
We also didn’t realize we’d need to have all of our lawn furniture and greenhouse cleared from the yard. Without a word to us the crew got to work and moved those things themselves. We really appreciated this.
After they’d finished, you could hardly tell a tree had ever been there at all. The yard was spotless. All debris was gone.

We had six large trees that needed serious yet caring pruning. We’ve had other providers out over the years and the project never seemed quite complete — so I went shopping. Peter (co-​owner) came out and spent some quality time assessing the project and provided a quote the next day. While Tree Cycle was in the middle of the pack in pricing, I felt very comfortable with the project plan and decided it was worth a few extra bucks to make sure it was done right.
Living in an urban environment, several different «constituencies» emerged from the woodwork on the day of the project. Peter and his team listened to each and discussed plan modifications with me as we moved forward. As project owner, I feel 100% satisfied with the result and highly recommend Tree Cycle to others who require professional, caring work with their trees.

These guys are awesome! They are honest, upfront, responsive, well-​priced, and willing to take the time to ensure you are happy. I live in QA and was looking to have a couple of huge trees pruned and a couple of others removed because they were growing too close to the house. Let me just say that if you are thinking about cutting down a tree by yourself, you are wasting your own time and money. Chances are you will fall a tree on your house or into the power lines. Plus who wants to deal with all the cleanup. Call Tree Cycle and you won’t regret it.
Bottom line, Tree Cycle is one of the best companies I’ve worked with not only because of their efficiency, quality of work, and awesome pricing but they are really great people. Kelsey was quick to answer all my questions via phone and email and Peter demonstrated his expertise with a chainsaw and his crew worked amazingly fast and efficient.
I started off wanting to prune a couple of trees but later found out that they were dying and it would have been a waste of my money. This was confirmed by three separate arborists and I felt Tree Cycle was the best priced and most professional company based on my interactions with them.
Long story short, Tree Cycle didn’t rush me into making a decision, they worked with me over the period of 3 or 4 weeks to ensure that I was ready to cut versus prune. So I ended up having them remove 6 trees because they were too close to the house or power lines and four of them were about 30 feet high. They came in, brought their tools, and wood chipper and were completely done and cleaned up in just under 3 hours. It was amazing. I kept bouncing outside to watch them work and take photos because it was unbelievable how easy they made it look.
They are also licensed, insured, and they take credit cards. I was so eager to have them clean up my yard that I asked them to remove a bunch of juniper bushes in front of my house as well and for a really small fee.
In the end, they saved me hours and hours of work and the risk of me dropping a tree on my house. If you need some tree work, give these guys a call.

Peter and his team were the bomb! We had a 76 year old (I counted the rings) Atlas Cedar in our tiny urban backyard that was in desperate need of removal. Peter, the business owner and lead arborist, is absolutely amazing. My two year old son and I sat with jaws open for hours on end watching him as he scaled the tree and took it down, limb by limb. He climbs with nothing more than ropes and a chainsaw dangling precariously from his body, which he wielded with precision and expertise. I was amazed. You can’t help but develop a lumberjack crush when watching these guys work!
While it took them an entire day and the next morning to complete the job, and they made a huge mess of the yard initially, I have to say they left it completely clean and tidy. They even replaced and re-​cemented a couple of cinder block stairs that broke under the weight of some fallen logs.
When I asked them to come back and trim a fruit tree and hawthorn tree, they again did a fantastic job, and left us with the cleanest stretch of sidewalk on our block. One final hurrah: they left me a very nice slab from the tree’s base, which I can turn into a memorable table top from our ancient and beloved tree. Call Tree Cycle. You won’t be sorry.
