Meet the Business Owner

Rich M.

Business Owner

Rich Matthews grew up in Pennsylvania and studied biochemistry at Penn State. In 1989, he moved to San Diego for a job in the biotech industry. In his off time, he started helping a friend with a carpet cleaning business, and by 1995 started Systems Carpet Cleaning.

The entrepreneur bug hit hard, and eventually Rich started other businesses, including: Distributorship for personal mobility scooters, marketing for a skin care line, and motorcycle parts and tools (with two patents pending). He enjoys motorcycling, fishing, camping, travel, music, and product design. With over 10,000 jobs completed at Systems Carpet and Emergency Flood Cleaning, Systems is committed to quality and customer retention.
