Specialties

We make porcelain and stoneware, bowls, plates, decorative vases, and all kinds of unique ceramic items. My wife and I make, glaze and fire everything at our studio in Spring Valley. David also makes «arts and crafts» inspired vases and other items of wimsy. Mary makes beautiful highly decorated, multi-​glazed, bowls, plates and cups.

History

Established in 1975.

David has been making pots for more than 40 years and Mary for more than 20 years. They make a good team, each creating thier own work in very different styles. We have been at the same location for around 40 years, large brick kilns are difficult to move, so we will probably be here for the duration.

Business Owner

David started working as a chemistry teacher and decided to make pots for a living somewher around 1975. Mary was a student at Southwestern College where she met David. At some point after they married, she decided David was having so much fun doing what he wanted to do, she quit her day job and became a potter too.
