Maid For NY

The maid was very nice and polite. However, when I told her not to scratch the floor what does she do scratches the floor while dragging the couch. Now get this the maid calls her boss in FRONT of me and says she scratched the floor. Then we hang up… Then I text a picture of the clearly scratched floor to the owner. She then calls me back. I tell her it’s their responsibility to come fix it. She denies it completely and says the maid said the scratch was already there!!! Then that is when I get mad. She hangs up on me… Can you believe this… DO not do business with these people. WARNING!!!

Jewelry now missing. Company completely dismissive of my complaint. No one else in apartment. I wouldn’t hire this company if I were you.

i also got a groupon for them and it was absolutely terrible. when i tried calling i couldn’t even get someone to answer the phone for 2 days. i left a message and they eventually called me back. when they did call back they were very rude. now when it’s time for the cleaning lady to come (which should have been 10 am) she calls me at 9 am and says i just mapquested it and i won’t be able to get there until 1130. wouldn’t you have checked this out before? than at 1030 she calls me and says that she can’t get here without having to take a cab and it would be $ 35, could we just reschedule it? i screamed no because i only have one day a week off and i specifically needed her for that day. she arrives half another hour late. she also asked me while i’m on the phone if i have rubber gloves, which i didn’t. so she says oh well can you get that for me while you’re waiting because my hands are really sensitive. you’re a maid bring your own gloves if your hands are sensitive. she finally gets to my house (as someone else mentioned, she was in a dress, which i found odd for a cleaning job) and i tell her what to clean. my house was completely empty because we were moving, so there was no furniture. it should have been a really easy job but it too her forever and she didn’t even clean the windows. i asked her if she needed anything and she asked for a croisant? are you kidding me? so i have to supply her food too. usually i’m a generous tipper but i only gave her $ 20. i also gave her some lamps i was throwing out. i would never use this company again. it’s a shame for them too because if they were good i would have used them regularly for my new place.

Phone booking was annoying. Caller quoted a high rate, when asked if he could share it with me via email, he declined. Couldn’t clearly articulate why his quote was up to 50% more yet provided same service as other maid services.
Gave an attitude and mentioned whoever I referred (the founder) referred the company for a reason. WRONG, I’m a potential customer so take the attitude elsewhere just like I’m taking my money elsewhere.
AVOID at ALL COSTS.

We finally got our apartment cleaned! This time, there were no hiccups (except for the odd geography of our neighborhood, which isn’t anyone’s fault except the people who named these streets) and our home is now incredibly clean. We will definitely schedule with them again – finally our search for a good cleaning company is over.

I purchased a Groupon voucher for a three hour cleaning service. The maid arrived more than two hours late. Although she stayed for an extra two hours, she spent a solid chunk of the time talking on the telephone – cleaning with one hand and gabbing on her phone with the other. She moved so slowly that she didn’t even clean my entire apartment, which isn’t huge, within the three hour window. Plus, the areas she did clean are mediocre, at best.
The woman who cleaned was friendly enough, and the service scheduled the appointment easily. For these reasons, perhaps I should add a second star. I won’t use this service again, though, and I recommend you avoid it as well.

I purchased a three hour cleaning voucher for $ 69.00 plus tax and am so dissatisfied. The employee was very nice, but arrived about 20 minutes late (though she did make up 15 minutes at the end) and dressed like she was going out somewhere fancy afterwards. I made a comment about the way she was dressed (not mean or anything – more like «wow, you look really good for someone about to clean!) and she laughed and told me she had another engagement after my appointment. She started in the bathroom and did a fine job, but it took an hour and a half and my bathroom is teeny-​tiny. I think she spent a lot of time organizing my products. She moved on to the kitchen. She quickly wiped down the counters (about 2 feet worth), the cabinets, kitchen table and then asked if I wanted the floor swept and mopped. Yes. I want my kitchen floor swept and mopped when I pay for a cleaning service. She did an ok job. She did a few dishes that were in the sink and that was that. Time was up and she left. I did tip her (generously) because she was very nice, I am a generous tipper and I was really sick, not thinking straight and couldn’t let someone who works for so little leave without something in his/​her pocket. Anyway, I contacted Maid for NY about my dissatisfaction and as soon as they rectify this situation I will rescind this review and write a more flattering one, but for now, I wouldn’t use Maid in NY ever ever again.

I discovered this place through Groupon (although I missed the chance to get the groupon) I decided to go ahead and try them (honestly, my apartment was a mess and I’m swamped at work, and really just didn’t want to clean). I was thrilled that I could do the scheduling via email, it makes life so much easier! Prices are very fair and everything is explained before hand on what is considered basic and deep cleaning. The cleaning lady not only arrived on time, but she was about 10 minutes early! Other cleaning services I’ve used, the person has ALWAYS been late (once even 2 hours late). She was super nice and started working immediately. Everything looked great once she was done! I definitely plan to use them again. I got the basic 3 hour service the first time and will absolutely use their deep cleaning service — think mother-​in-​law vising. By far the best cleaning we’ve had!

I hired Maid for NY for my office, and found them to be exceptional!!! Their employees were very proffesional, and high quality. My office was cleaned immaculately and very timely. I’ve hired cleaning services before, and found this one to be outstanding!!! Going forward I will use them on a weekly basis for all of my cleaning needs. I would hightly recommend this company.
