Optical Connection

I will start off by saying: I have been wearing prescription glasses since I was six years old, so I have had my fair share of «new glasses buying experiences». The best experience I have had getting new frames was at Optical Connection.
My fiancée and I walked in on a whim one day on our way to Trader Joes next door (we both needed new specs and had been saying we would go find some for weeks). The store feels very upscale and it is obvious that the selection of frames is tailored for their clientele. We ended up spending at least an hour with Janine, trying on different frames and analyzing their shape on our faces. We both found a pair that we loved (actually the first pairs we both tried on) but left that day empty handed; not once were we pressured to buy. As we walked out I said out loud to my fiancée «Janine is so great, I almost wanted to ask her to go grab a drink!», because she had been so genuinely kind, funny, friendly and attentive to our needs.
About a week later we decided it was time to go make our purchase. We had enough nights to sleep on the frames we tried on. That day we stopped at another optical store in the area to see if they had anything different, better, etc. We were extremely unimpressed with this other shop and were missing Janine so we quickly got over to Optical Connection.
Again we were warmly greeted by Janine and Armen (another fantastic employee) and spent at least another hour trying on and analyzing our frames; I mean you wear these things on your face for a while!!! A few other people came into the shop but Janine stayed focused on us. A women who seemed like a «regular customer» came in and Janine politely suggested she do any other necessary shopping in the strip mall and come back so she could finish with us and then give her her full attention (great move, everyone was happy with this).
Janine explained the different types of lenses and options we had; I have pretty bad eyesight so I went for the HD lenses and so did my fiancée (cause he deserves all the best stuff :)). She was very knowledgable and informative of all of our options.
We wrapped up our purchases, exchanged some great Netflix shows and documentaries for each other to watch, chatted with the «regular customer» women who came back in after her shopping and eventually got on our way. Our glasses will be ready soon and I will come back to update my review once I pick them up!
Overall, Optical Connection is a fabulous place to get new glasses or sunglasses. I felt extremely comfortable and well taken care of. Everyone in the shop was great and all of the customers seemed extremely pleased and all were treated like regulars. My fiancée and I both purchased the first pair of glasses that Janine put on us; she has a great eye! I would highly recommend going here if you need some new specs!

Best Optical store I have ever been into. The brands they offer are tastefully selected, the location of the store is convenient and the service is top notch. Janine and Armen are great!
Janine helped my fiancé and I pick out some new frames. Actually the first pair she asked me try on were the ones I ended up buying; even though I waited on the decision for a week before i went back in to make my purchase (Trying to get better at impulse buys).
Janine is a real peach. She was extremely gracious with her time, spending the better part of an hour with us, while we walked around the store trying on all there amazing frames. In no way was i pressured into a purchase. Like i said, it took me a week to return and make my purchase and i was greeted with the same warm welcome as the first time i walked into the shop. She even entertained my indecisiveness and let me try on a few more frames before i settled on my new pair (which i’ll say again were the first ones she suggested i try on).
If you need new specs, this is the place to get them. You will definitely find something you are gonna love to have on your face!!!

Optimum Opticals at Optical Connection
This was the first time EVER that I have been happy with my eye glasses when I picked them up… thanks to Armen at Optical Connection. There was always something not quite right in the past. Most times the glasses not only didn’t enhance my look, they detracted. Not so at Optical Connection. As I told Armen after walking over to Trader Joe’s to shop afterwards, «The glasses passed the attention test,» I said with a big grin on my face. And I wasn’t kidding. I received stares from several men and women (go figure). Another man called my attention to the pastrami-​style smoked salmon, saying, «You’ll be thanking me later.» Even the male cashier was polite and attentive (I find the cashiers at this TJ’s to be very much distracted and detached). Two factors contributed to my success at Optical Connection: 1) Armen made it quite clear (in a nice manner) when he did or didn’t like the glasses I tried on and he has GREAT taste and a GREAT selection (Just to be sure I was making the right choices, I made him show me other color combinations in catalogs or on display and his choices on site were right on every time); 2) Armen took the lenses out for me each and every time so that I could see what I looked like without the glare of the non-​prescription lens.

A quality place to go for glasses/​getting them fixed. Super friendly, professional staff.

This is hands down the best experience shopping for glasses in my life. Dwayne is the best, he’s honest, funny, and will have you looking fierce by the time you leave. Armen is the sweetest soul with the best customer service to match. The fit is perfect and love that the lab is based at the store. I am so impressed with this store and so glad I found them. I cannot wait to build my eyeglass collection with Optical Connection.

I love this place. Armen is great. He is so patient and he spends so much time helping you chose glasses and he definitely has the eye for it. I went to so many different opticals in the area and this is finally the one I liked. I am very happy with the glasses and the lenses I got. I have referred other clients to him ever since. The prices are reasonable too.

I bought sunglasses from Nordstrom and they couldn’t adjust them for me. After calling this place, he told me I could come right in and get them adjusted at no charge. The owner was super nice and quick and seemed like he definitely knew what he was doing when it came to glasses. While he was adjusting my shades I was looking around at the selection and I started to wish I had bought my sunglasses from him! Lots of chic and edgy finds and great service. I’d recommend to anyone. My sunglasses fit like a glove thanks to him :) Thanks again for the free adjustment!

Excellent facility. Very relaxed. Booked me an appointment same day, something I can’t say about the other optometrists nearby.
Very high tech equipment. I like to see that doctors are staying current with new ways to take care of patients and in this case the doctor was able to recommend a better fit contact lens for my eye than the standard one that had been given to me before. Very thorough in testing and making sure you’re getting the right set up. Store is a very modern set up with great selection.
My card did not go through at the time of my appointment, they were very kind to allow me to pay upon picking up my prescription as well as recommending a possible rebate for my contacts. Just excellent service. :)

Dr. Lipson is wonderful. Friendly, thorough and professional. I’ve never in over 10 years had to wait when I have an appointment. She sees my entire family. I relocated to Simi Valley several years ago and still drive to Studio City to see her. And I love Optical Connection. They have a wonderful selection of frames to choose from. I always find quality frames at a reasonable price. Armen is helpful and patient. I highly recommend both the doctor and the store. And they take our vision coverage, VSP which makes them the complete package!

Armen is the man I walked in there looking for sun glasses and armen helped me out we when thru some sun glasses he had and picked out the one that best fitted me and even hooked me up on the price I highly recommend this place to anyone that needs sun glasses or need an eye exam

These guys are very professional, have a great selection, and will work with your insurance company. The doctor they have on staff is very caring and nurturing and makes you feel very safe. I would recommend these guys to anybody!

My family and I love Optical Connection. We have been their loyal customers for years. Armen is very patient and helps find the exact style you are looking for. Customer service is top notch with a great selection of prescription glasses as well as sunglasses. A few years ago, I purchased a pair of prescription glasses from Armen that were gorgeous and unique (from Italy). To this day, I still get compliments on them. I have not seen anyone else carry them. So if you want excellent service (before and after the sale), knowledgeable staff, and a huge selection of unique and designer glasses, Optical Connection is your place.

Dwayne and Armen are fantastic! Their customer service is unparalleled; their courtesy refreshing; their knowledge reassuring. I had intended to only browse the store to see if they had some frames for my prescription, after which I was going to go comparison shopping at other opticians and optometrists.
