Everyone I talked with was very friendly, helpful, and professional. We had a heat pump installed and it was done in a day. The installation team did come back briefly the next afternoon to finish up a few things and then showed me how to use the system.

Herb, thanks for your reply and comments. When your tech was here on 01/​04/​2008 he did give us factory recommendation on running the circulation fan continuously in which we always did from day 1 of the install to even out the air temp. After running the system for several years based on factory recommendations, the electric bills were extremely high. I even called the City of Tacoma Power and complained to see if these bills were correct for a heat pump. They told me it was a «Bad year for Heat Pumps» due to the fluctuations in the weather. Not so sure I believed the City Employees comments, but disconnecting the heat pump for 6 months of the year has reduced the electric bills substantially.
We’re pretty much resided to the fact that the Trane system we purchased is not a system that would heat our basement properly like the old gas furnace did. For the past 8 years, we heat the basement of our home with a gas fireplace and electric space heaters. I have been turning off the heat pump September through May and use it only as a source to cool the home on hot days, in which it works great.
As far as a two zone system, this was never discussed at the time of purchase. No pricing or plans to install a two zone system were ever discussed. It only came up after the problems arose to heat the basement to a comfortable level. I have verbally complained more than once to the techs that have come out to service the units, you only have the one documented complaint of 01/​04/​2004.
I remember that tech that came out in January 2004 and he measured with his Fluke tester an 8 degree difference from your ankles to your shoulders in the basement. With all the tests he performed, he said the system was functioning properly. Go figure?
I have even spoken to Jeremy at one if the Tacoma Home Shows, and another Kliemann salesman and I told them how disappointed I was in the units as they were not heating the basement. The salesman told me that they now won’t install a system like mine in a 2 story home without a two zone system. I never verified what he told me to be correct or incorrect, but that’s what I was told at the show.
Also, I’m not sure what your referring to about leaky windows and doors as the basement windows are double paned windows and the door seals are solid. Granted the floor is a cement slab with tile, but Jeremy knew this when he sold us the system.
I thank you for reaching out and wanting to make us happy with our Trane system, but it’s just going to be a repeat of what we’ve been told 8 years ago, at the Home Show, and what every Kliemann tech to my home has said, install a two zone system costing $$$$?. We have since moved on to another vendor to service our units, but we thank you for your previous services and concerns.

I contracted with this company for a heat pump purchase and install.
Originally I was told that the installation would take 2 and half days.
I was pleased to hear on the 2^nd day that the install would complete that same day.
Not pleased when I was told at the end of the day that «the electrician hooked things up
incorrectly», so I would need to call the main office to schedule another appointment.
(I later heard that it was a parts problem, and then a parts plus electrician problem)
I did, and that Friday the work was completed, the point is that the unit was inoperable for a few days.
Everything seemed to work fine, but I recently noticed air blowing out of the front of the
air handler. I called and a tech was sent out again. He sealed the unit and that problem
seems to be fixed, but having 2 incidents like this does not make me happy.
Front office staff and techs were always courteous and helpful, but that doesn’t erase
the inconvenience of 2 service calls within 2 months of the original install.
There were a couple of other issues as well, but I am not going to post them at this time.

It’s been a couple of years since Kliemann Heating installed my heating and cooling system. Since then I have had different contractors for other jobs in my home and am realizing how fortunate I was to find Kliemann. It is so important to me that I feel safe and comfortable with the people that work on my house and property. Kliemann installers were personable, intelligent, kept everything clean, were kind to nosey children, and were patient with questions.
A few months after the installation, I had a small complaint about an issue. They sent someone out immediately and bent over backwards to make sure that I was happy.

I called for an appointment to service our heater this morning. By 11:30 Robby was at our house! He remembered our previous service and even had his notes from that appointment :) Robby was able to service the heater and do a diagnostic check for us. He was professional, knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. Thanks again Robby!

Austin is the best! He knew his stuff and showed me the why my AC/​heat pump wasn’t working (clogged filter) and how to prevent it from happening again. That and the relief that it was nothing major led to a fantastic experience! I will definitely be using you guys in the future.

Kliemann technicians diagnosed and performed a major repair to my furnace blower unit about 2 months ago. The AC system did not work properly during recent hot weather. On the return service call, technician Mark W found the problem with the original work and the system seems to be working properly again. I gave the company a higher rating because of the prompt response and excellent interaction with Mark. He carefully explained the issue and apologized for the inconvenience and discomfort caused by the original work not being performed properly.

Kliemann Bros. Heating is a great company to work with! We prepay for a maintenance plan on our furnace and HVAC and it is well worth the value of keeping our heat/​AC in top working condition. Mark W. was just here to do our maintenance and he was extremely thorough, taking extra time to clean our unit. He was very courteous and professional. We’ve always had great experience with all Kliemann Bros. service techs and I couldn’t ask for better service! Highly recommend Kliemann Bros. for all your heating and cooling needs!

I called Kliemann Brothers for a furnace repair in December. The blower quit coming on, the repairman came out and determined that the cause was the relay switch, he tried to put a new one in that he had on his vehicle and it immediately melted as it was not the right one so he said he would have to order one and it would be a day or two. This was on December 23^rd and he said it would take a day or two to get the part. About a week later the finally came out and performed the repair. It’s only been 3 months since they repaired the furnace and it’s doing exactly the same thing. When I called them they said that while the part is warrantied for a year their labor is only warrantied for 1 month and that I would have to pay a new diagnostic fee. I’ve never had a repair fail so quickly and I am furious that they don’t even stand behind their work! I would not recommend this business to anyone as the certainly aren’t concerned about the long term.

These guys were fabulous! They arrived on time, were respectful of clean shoes, cleaned up well after job, were very enjoyable to work with. They knew their job well and worked in unison with each other and the electrician. highly recommend.

I called Klieman Bros. For a bid on a new HVAC system. They responded quickly and a nice gentleman came to the house, looked things over and said he would send me a bid in a couple of days. I called them two weeks later to remind them I still had not received the bid. I still have not received their bid and it’s been over a month. I guess they don’t want my $ 11,000.

Great group here! These guys know what they are doing and they are just great people!!! I would recommend them all day!!!

Kliemann Brothers was one of very few bright spots during the miserable experience of having a new custom home built. Kliemann stood by their products and their labor. They came out on three separate occasions, two of them after the official warranty had expired to correct issues that my husband and I had. The last occasion was to deal with a filter frame which didn’t hold filters of the specified size. We’d had some luck with filters we’d been given by Kliemann. but filters purchased at Costco and Home Depot just would not slide in properly. We had to bend them and shove them in. I wrote to Kliemann and asked them if we couldn’t work something out, since, despite the fact that the warranty was well past expiration, the part in question was a non moving part mechanical part. I don’t know quite what I expected… but what I got was a courteous phone call from a tech, an appointment which worked for MY schedule, and the frame adjusted so the filters now slide in properly.
I have been recommending Kliemann to any of my friends and co-​workers who are looking for heating and cooling solutions. The heat-​pump they installed easily kept our home (which is full of HUGE windows) at 72 degrees even during the hottest days when temperatures were in the upper 90’s. The products they use are top quality, and their technicians clean up after themselves, as well as wearing booties in the house without being asked. They are professional and stand by their work. What more can anyone ask for?

As a licensed Home Inspector, I run into all sorts of issues with HVAC equipment. Recently I had to have my own heat pump serviced. After following Kliemann Brothers and their repairs /​installations, I gave them a call.
I had used other well known companies in the area and was always left with a sour taste in my mouth and an empty wallet. This was not the case with Kliemann. Their technician, Steve, was very knowledgeable and was able to diagnose the problem in short order. The repairs were made and the unit has worked better than ever through this last cold snap and snow.
Based on my personal experience with the company as well as seeing their work quality and ethics with other clients, I will only recommend them to my clients for any HVAC installations or repairs. Their prices, in the two instances I have used them, were much less than the other competitors in the area and they didn’t have to make multiple trips to repair simple issues.
Whether new construction, a replacement furnace, heat pump or air conditioner, these guys know their stuff. High grades all around.

I had an emergency furnace repair needed recently and called Kliemann Brothers. Of course it was on a Sunday, so I was routed to their on call tech, Steve. He walked me through a few trouble shooting techniques which took me about an hour, and unfortunately I was not able to get it working. It was late and I did not need the furnace to work that badly as we were using space heaters which worked fine, so I told Steve to enjoy his evening and I would put a call in to have him come out the next day. The following morning I called them back and they sent out Robby who was able to get my furnace going within 20 minutes or so. Both Steve and Robby both knew what they were talking about and were very helpful. The cost of the service was less than I was expecting also, which made it even better. I would definitely recommend Kliemann to anyone in need.

Kliemann Bros. made buying and installing our new furnace a smooth and easy experience, even with some odd structural considerations that had to be made for our home. Their work was fast and done right the first time, and they backed up the furnace and their work with a great warranty.
