We cannot begin to recommend A Perfect Blend Entertainment enough, in particular our wedding DJ extraordinaire David Nazario. From our very first emails and phone calls with David, he expressed such genuine excitement for us and on the big day he proved himself to be an invaluable asset to our wedding day. You can just tell from talking to him that he loves what he does and that really shines through and made the whole experience of working with him really special. We’d asked our guests, as part of their invitations, to suggest a song they’d like to hear on the dance floor and as you can imagine, it was a pretty eclectic mix. But David really took to the challenge and seamlessly created a night of music that satisfied everyone and kept the dance floor busy all night! He perfectly created the soundtrack to our special night and we can’t thank him enough. He’s a real gentlemen and it was a pleasure to have him there on our wedding day. He was professional, organized and a lot of fun! Organizing your wedding day can be nerve-​wracking when you feel like you’re putting the fate of your day into the hands of strangers but David never felt like a stranger, he felt like a friend. If you’re looking for a wedding DJ, then look no further because you’ve found the best. (We’d also recommend the photo booth! It was a huge hit at our wedding!)

APB Entertainment, and particularly our DJ Mario, were a huge factor in making our wedding this past weekend such a smashing success. From our very first planning session, I knew we were in the hands of a competent professional. Mario was interested in actually getting to know us, in order to personalize our event. He looked into our eyes and listened to our story, instead of rattling off a list of questions from rote memorization or a sheet of paper. He made us feel like he had a personal stake in the outcome of our special day, beyond merely securing the contract, or receiving a good gratuity. It was obvious that he shared our excitement and joy from day one. This is a man that loves his job and it shows.
Mario continued to be patient with us as we struggled to complete our «homework» by deadline. During the final planning session, when it was discovered that we had not yet filled out our lists of «must play», «do not play», «special dedication» songs, etc., he worked with us to come up with ideas that would really set the tone we were looking for, asking open ended questions, and making suggestions based on what has worked well in the past. Never once did he chastise us, as other industry «professionals» would have done.
On the wedding day itself I received so many compliments on the music. My guests were up and dancing from the very first song. They did not stop for salad. They did not stop for intermezzo. Song after song after song was pure gold. The energy was up all night, which is exactly what I wanted. I still have family and friends shooting me text messages, or leaving comments on my Facebook about what a great time they had, and how I hired the best DJ they’ve ever heard.
Mario was also an awesome emcee. He made announcements as appropriate, guiding our guests, or letting them know what to expect, without filling up the air time with mindless chatter, as I have heard at far, far too many other weddings. He also shared some of the highlights we had told him about us– so he either takes excellent notes when you speak to him, or he has a fantastic memory! He really worked alongside our venue’s Maitre’d to ensure seamless transitions between all the different things that occur during a wedding reception. I really have to credit them both equally with how smoothly the entire evening went.
Finally, he was an absolute rock star when it came to ambiguity and last-​minute changes. My parents waffled back and forth on whether or not they wanted to be announced right up until the moment the reception began, but it was a nonissue. There needed to be changes to the order of the bridal party, no problem. Certain guests planned on leaving early, so we had to move the Anniversary Dance up earlier and shuffle some other things around, whatever. Mario handled it all with grace and aplomb. Oh, and I also waited until about ten minutes before the event began to ask him to hand out a few items during the night– things like beaded necklaces, glow sticks, sunglasses, and inflatable guitars. I had purchased them from a popular novelty company online, but never informed him, so he got that surprise sprung on him as well! Now, I’m not endorsing the abuse of your DJ in this way, but it is nice to know that they can handle whatever is thrown at them with the utmost composure!
In fact, everyone at APBE is great with eleventh hour adjustments. With three weeks left before the wedding, we realized we had money left over in the budget, and something on my fiancée’s wish list that was never realized was a photo booth. All it took was a short phone call. By the time I hung up, the updated contract was already sitting in my email inbox. On the wedding day, José was friendly and attentive, and the photo booth props were funny and original. He put together a great album for us that we will treasure forever.

APB Entertainment DJ’d for a very good friend’s wedding recently in West Point, NY. From the beginning I was impressed by the DJ’s stage presence and announcing. What impressed me the most as the night progressed, however, were his song transitions. The DJ seamlessly connected songs from different genres and time periods for the duration of the reception. It was like one continuous song with perfect rhythm overlap. There was not a second of dead air and not a single awkward transition. And it wasn’t a predefined playlist he sculpted ahead of time either – the bride and others made real time requests which he flawlessly incorporated into the song flow. The songs were more than appropriate for a mixed audience and really got everyone on their feet. The sound quality and volume were perfect as well. I highly recommend APB Entertainment for your next music or dancing event. If they perform even close to how they did last weekend in West Point, you will absolutely not be disappointed.

Since we lived out of state helping our daughter and future son in law find great vendors for their wedding became quite a challenge. Music was especially important to us, but once we met David (A Perfect Blend Entertainment in Tarrytown) we all agreed we had found the perfect DJ. From our first meeting David made us feel at ease. He is personable, professional and very experienced Rather than tell us what he would do, he listened carefully to the bride and groom’s ideas, validated our concerns that the music be appropriate for all our diverse guests, and made terrific suggestions. During the next several months he worked closely with the bride and groom to create their perfect playlist, and honored their must play and do not play selections. During the reception we were thrilled that everyone was on the dance floor. The energy he created in the room was fun and upbeat, yet the volume wasn’t deafening. Everyone had an amazing night, in great part due to David’s ability to deliver the music that matched our vision.
He is a consummate professional!

My now husband and I were first introduced to David and APB at our friend’s wedding last July where he was the DJ and MC. He was so awesome that we ended up getting his contact info from our friend and booking him for our own wedding. Music and dancing was really important to me and my fiancé (we wanted everyone to be dancing all night long at our wedding!) and we felt really confident in David’s skills.
From the get-​go, David was the ultimate professional and always kept our needs at the forefront of our conversation. He was responsive, thoughtful, and always available to chat. We worked with a number of vendors, and David was the one who was so clearly invested in making our day special, memorable, and exactly what we wanted. He understands how important music is to the ceremony and celebration and takes it very seriously. I loved that he listened to our needs and balanced it with his insight and knowledge.
The APB website and planner was really helpful too, and I loved that we could curate our own «must play» and «do not play» lists. My fiancé and I had so much fun putting together a «must play» list.
On the day/​night of our wedding, David was AMAZING. He made a few judgement calls during the reception/​dinner that went off of the planner/​timeline that he knew would enhance our experience and our guests’ experience, and I’m glad he did. Before making any decision that went off the timeline, he always made sure to check in with me first (I think he knew I was a little bit neurotic about the timeline, being an event planner myself.) to make sure I was comfortable with his suggestion. He knows how to go with the flow of the evening, which is really important.
When I would ask David something or request something on the night, his response was always «it’s your night! Anything is possible!».
Also. most importantly. our guests were dancing ALL night and we got so many compliments on the music and DJ. People are still telling us what a fun party it was and how they loved the energy our DJ created. I seriously could not get myself off the dance floor. I think I danced for 3 hours straight.
I cannot say enough good things about David and APB — I would recommend them to anyone.

David impressed us from the minute we spoke to him. He has a vision for how he wants to make your event both unique to the couple and event as well as keeping in mind what will make a party rock. He was always professional and available. His Website was a major perk — we were able to go in manage our song lists and requests as well as a timeline of the wedding. His input was valuable in turning our ideas into implementations.
We always had peace of mind with David; he was exceptionally professional and I didn’t have to worry about our wedding day at all. My husband did a live performance on the day of the wedding and he was seamlessly able to handle the guitar and microphones connections on the spot without a sound check.
Would highly recommend him!

I’ve had the pleasure of attending several events with DJ/​MC Mario Robles from A Perfect Blend Entertainment. He impressed me so much I had to make sure to use him for all my family events, WEDDINGS? Check. Sweet 16 Check! reunions? Check!!! He’s awesome! always keeps the partying moving and has an incredible talent for reading the vibe in the crowd. For all future events I will be looking to have A Perfect Blend provide the entertainment. Excellent upstanding company.

My husband and I hired Mario for our June 2013 wedding at Greentree Country Club in October of 2012. The two times we met with him in our home we discussed the timeline of the event, and other details. Everything up until the day of the wedding seemed to be running smoothly. that is until the day of the actual event.
The day of our wedding, June 22^nd, 2013 I receive a voicemail from Mario saying that there was a «mix up» and we wouldn’t have the wireless mics that we had been promised since day ONE. Since he couldn’t get me on the phone (due to obvious reasons, I was trying to get ready for my WEDDING) he calls up my husband to tell him the news. Once I receive word of this I call him back and tell him this is completely unacceptable. After some discussion, he tells me he will «pull some strings» and get the wireless microphones for our ceremony. Not only did he act as if he was doing me a favor, he totally stressed me out on my wedding day, I was in tears.
We did end up getting the wireless microphones, in the end — but they didn’t work properly. During our ceremony the audio continuously cut out while my husband was saying his vows. This was embarrassing to us because our guests couldn’t hear the most important parts of our ceremony.
To make a very long story short — Mario ended up actually yelling at me (yes, the bride) towards the end of the reception. He then wrote us a lengthy e-​mail at 4am on our WEDDING NIGHT.
The contents of this e-​mail are much too long to copy and paste but excerpts include the following «I tried to compensate for his lack of projection by pushing his level, but that was leading to feedback– a common side effect of pushing a wireless mic too high.» (Regarding the fact that my husband couldn’t be heard during the ceremony.)
As well as – «You can go say whatever mean, inflammatory things online to try and hurt me. You can sit there and attempt to hurt my life, my career, my livelihood, and attempt to make it harder for me to support my family and feed my daughter by trying to rail against me in a fiery review.» The real problem with this statement is that its actually a LIE. Although they detail in their contract that you can receive a refund, they won’t give it to you.
I reached out to David, the owner of A Perfect Blend, the very next day after our wedding. He promised he would get back to me about this whole situation and never did. I sent him 3 additional e-​mails since and have had zero response.
So basically, A Perfect Blend will take your money, promise you the world, and then ignore you if its anything besides positive reviews. If I could change one thing about my wedding day, it would be using this company for the DJ services. I would never recommend Mario or David to friends or family.
I am still upset about this a month after my wedding. This is something you do once — perhaps that is why David and Mario are unconcerned with a dissatisfied bride.
