Fox Towing

My story…
This morning, I stupidly find myself locked out of my car. Thankfully, I had my phone in my pocket. I quickly Google towing companies around me and Fox Towing comes up — and so I call, PURELY based on all these great Unilocal reviews.
Mistake.
The man on the other end of the phone was rude, super short with me when I didn’t know my exact address (I am at a transit center, for god sake). He is hard to understand, and there is a Max going by — so when I have to ask «can you repeat that?» for the second time, he flat out yells his question at me. I tell him, «I will Google the address and call back if I need you.»
After this initial phone call, I decide this is probably not my best option. I end up calling the next company down. Long story short, this one went much smoother, and they had me out of there within 30 minutes.
But that’s not the end of the story. I make it to work, am sitting happily at my desk, and I get a phone call from none other than Fox Towing, asking where I am. I tell him I was able to call someone else and am already gone. This guy literally started yelling at me, saying they had driven all the way there. (thought you didn’t know where it was, buddy?) and then proceeds to hang up on me when I apologize for the misunderstanding.
bottom line… so RUDE. I have never felt so inclined to leave a review on Unilocal.
ps: Call Anderson towing. so, so much better.

These guys were great. Jeremy had some engine knowledge and recommended a decent garage to diagnose the issue. Overall good experience.

James was really nice and very quick. My car broke down in the parking lot of the Starbucks at Bridgeport Village (at lunchtime!), so he had just about the worst parking lot situation you could possibly deal with. Everything went super smoothly and they had the tow truck out within 15 minutes of me calling them. The tow didn’t cost nearly as much as I thought it would. Very good service.

Thank you to Stephen from Fox Towing! He came and towed our car today and was very helpful! He was very knowledgable, honest and gave us some helpful tips for our car. Best towing experience ever! I highly recommend their service!

Thank you AAA for sending Fox Towing to rescue me when my car died and for sending the nicest, most knowledgeable tow truck driver. It made the whole experience a lot better than it could have been.

After calling another tow company that could only provide a 24 hour window for service (they would provide a four hour window for double the price) I called Fox Towing. We set a time and they arrived on time. They worked with the garage (Sherwood auto — a really fabulous place to have your car worked on, but that is another review) and I was able to pay for the towing when I paid the Sherwood. Timely and efficient — worked perfectly for me.

My husband’s car wouldn’t start so he called AAA. A fine young man named Daniel from Fox Towing came right away. He checked our battery and scraped off all this gunk then he started our engine. He did a few other checks and then proceeded to follow us for 15 miles to be sure it was not our alternator. The technician was very knowledgeable, had a great manner, explained everything clearly and went the extra mile. We couldn’t have asked for anything better. This is my first Unilocal review but I had to write this when I saw the one star review posted last year.

Worse place I’ve ever had to deal with. Not only are their prices questionable, they tried to intimidate me into leaving without my vehicle. If there is any other option I’d take it.

A driver from Fox was dispatched to help me after I called AAA. My car had died in an intersection and everything pointed to a bad alternator. The tow driver was in the process of trying to get the car started long enough for me to roll up the windows when he notices that my battery cable was loose. Not only did he tow me all the way home to make sure I made it safely (over 35 minutes) but helped fix my battery connection, probably saving me a LOT of money. I was so impresses and he was so nice. Couldn’t say enough good stuff.
