I wish I had read the reviews. Since their servicing, the furnace doesn’t work right. I felt pressured and manipulated by the up-​sell and I’m suspicious of their handling of our credit cards. Save the stress and go with a reputable company. I can’t believe I fell for it.
Now both furnaces need to be serviced (hard to believe that 2 furnaces went on the fritz after the service guy left).

I’m actually surprised there are bad reviews on here. I saw their ad in the redplum mail insert last week and gave them a call that morning. It was a deal for $ 39 air duct cleaning for homes. I was able to schedule something for the same day at around 11 – 1! Yay for me! At 10:45 I got a missed call and it was one of the office guys updating me about my service man will be coming more towards 12:30 or 1:00, perfectly fine with me! I thought it was really nice that they called to tell me that!
Christopher was my service guy, he looked through my house for where the vents were located. He shop vac’d my upstairs vents that were floor vents. After he was done with that, he placed a large VAC on one vent, we went downstairs to close the ceiling vents down there. And he let the machine on for about 30 minutes.
He looked at my oil furnace for free and told me what he recommended. Unfortunately we can’t afford the major cleaning our old furnace needs, but we will definitely do something with it this summer.
He also gave us a rough estimate to replace our insulation in the attic (our house is really old and we need to replace a lot of things). So I thought he was really considerate and helpful with everything.
He also recommended this disinfectant thing for my vents, I would love to do it. But again we don’t have money to any extra services at the moment.
He was not pushy at all, he was really friendly, respectful and polite. He did the job I was expecting him to do. He talked me through what the process was from the start.

Overall I am happy with our service! I got what I made an appointment for and at the advertised price. They were timely, professional and super friendly!

You know that terrible saying that everybody uses that goes like «I wish I could give them less than 1 star»? I really wish I could…
I called on Monday scheduling the cleaning that looks like such a good deal. $ 35 for a retail $ 169 cleaning? Makes sense, this is off season and those kinds of deals exist. Anyways I mention I have the coupon and the gal doesn’t know what the deal is and I explain it to her (hindsight, if you goto their website, they have the same cleaning deal is $ 69 for a $ 285 value, so they are trying to get whatever they can from you.)
So she says she has all kinds of days available, I ask for the next day, Tuesday (today) from 3 PM to 5PM. She books me right up.
Come 5PM today I call, I explain that it is 5PM and the technician hasn’t shown up. The young gal explains to me that the technician has a window to show up in, as early as 3pm and as late as 5pm… I explain to her that its 5pm now. She says that it is 4:59. I ask her to call the technician to get a hold of him and ask how far out he is. She says he is 20 minutes out. He will be there no later than 5:20 PM.
5:27 PM the technician shows up and I kindly ask him to leave. He has wasted my time, he can come again on the next appointment I will make and earn my business by showing up on time.
I call the number to reschedule for the next appointment so this company can redeem itself. I get the same customer service gal and I ask to speak to a supervisor, mostly so I can hold somebody who has more invested interest in my business to promise me that the next time they will be at the time and place they promised. I get the supervisor and she is nothing but excuses. I tell her that I honestly don’t care about her excuses and I just want results. So I get on my soapbox and explain to her that a company that cannot even show up to an appointment on time has shown the core of their business practice by their inability to even be where they said they would be, at the time they said they would be. Surely you can understand my stance on the matter? She then says «What? Sorry my phone cut you off.» I was talking for like a straight minute and she didn’t even hear anything I said, I give it to her short and she goes on to say that her time is valuable and she doesn’t like it wasted. I tell her I just want a supervisor to reschedule the cleaning and give a personal promise they will be there on time. She gets mad and says her next available appointment is next month. Are we kidding? I just called yesterday and you had like 15 available appointments this week. Now you only have 1 Friday available next month? Jeez. I tell her that the date won’t work for me and she says and I dag gone quote, «Thanks for wasting my time then.»
Do yourself a favor and google «Air Duct cleaning service» and you will save yourself so much time and energy.

This company uses auto-​dialing to do illegal sales calls. I got a phone call a day for a few weeks until I answered the phone without it going to voice mail one day. They pretend they are local and that they have great sales for you, but when you mention that their sales calls are against the law, they have nothing but babble. I couldn’t get a word in edgewise, so I contacted a legal firm that pursues telemarketing abusers. Unfortunately, this was what they discovered about Family Fresh United:
«After doing a tremendous amount of research on this company, I have determined that they are actually being run from outside the US. I confirmed this from their business registration documents.
We are unable to go after a company that is not based in the US. I’m sure this company is aware that they are breaking the law, and that they can pretty much get away with it. I suggest that you block their number from calling. Please let us know if you get telemarketing calls from other companies, as we would love to help you.»
Work with them at your own risk. They are breaking laws and driving people like me crazy with their never-​ending sales calls.

I’m in Utah, not Washington, but I didn’t see these bad reviews until I went to make one myself! I saw the Valpack coupon, thought it was a great deal– but there’s a reason why! Two guys came in– one to actually do the work (I assume) and one to up-​sell like a demon sent straight from Hades to torment me. Seriously. I said «no» SEVEN times, and he was still upset when he left that I wouldn’t agree to getting my furnace deep cleaned, my blower deep cleaned, my ducts brushed and sanitized, my main air return cleaned, the coil cleaned, a «permanent» filter installed, AND a membership to the tune of around $ 1,600. The guy kept me there arguing with me about why I needed these for a SOLID HOUR while the other guy worked. I was upset firstly because he wouldn’t just leave me alone, second, because I couldn’t see if the other guy was working, getting all the vents in the house, stealing my jewelry or molesting my young kids in the basement, and third, because after I was hassled about upselling for so long, I didn’t even care if they did the dryer vent or tuned up the furnace like they had said they would. I gave him $ 40 more just to clean the intakes SO HE WOULD LEAVE. He tried to sell more to me one more time before they left, making me say no an eighth time and then he acted all put out and irritable. I’ll never have someone clean the vents again, it wasn’t worth it!

For those of you who have been getting the auto-​dialer calls from these people and cannot make them stop, you will be happy to know that I went ahead and finally booked an appointment after asking them to stop calling me for months.
Why will you be happy to know? I HAVE RADIATORS! Big, cool, old, 1938 iron radiators. All over. Not one duct in the house. Not one. Just a lot of steam pipes. Nothing to clean. Nothing to upsell me on. So I have someone coming out next Friday — and I can’t wait to show them all the cool old radiators in my house.
What is awesome is that I clearly explained, in great detail, what radiators are, how they work («you know, like in old movies, where the bang on the radiator to get more heat?»), that there are no ducts in the house, that everything is steam pipes, that there is no service they can provide me, nothing to clean, that I will torture whomever she sends out — SHE STILL BOOKED THE APPOINTMENT!
What will be interesting is if they try to charge me for anything. That would probably be worth getting a lawyer.

Should have read the reviews before calling. I too got a coupon in the mail and was misled by the photo on the advertisement that had a «before and after» photo of what your clean vents were supposed to look like. PSYCH! Nope, just a light vacuuming and a hard sell for the actual cleaning. I told him it was false advertising and to get the hell out of my house.

Well, I can’t speak for the Washington location but I had the Salt Lake City, UT location in and I have no problem with them. Yes, of course they try to upsell you, that’s their job, everybody that comes to your house tries to upsell you on service. You take your car to the mechanic they try to upsell you on service. As far as the reviews saying that they didn’t clean particular vents, that’s why you stand over them and watch them. 2 people came into my house and I followed both of them all the way around to make sure they got what they were supposed to do and if I thought they missed it then I ask him about it. The only thing I would say is that he told me he would run a camera into the ducts to check them and I just realized he didn’t.

DO NOT SUPPORT THESE CRIMINALS!!! Worst service ever.

Quick, professional and a great deal. I got a coupon in the mail for a $ 39 Duct Cleaning. Scheduled an appointment and made sure there were no hidden fees or catches, since it is usually like a $ 150 – 200 service. They showed up on time and were polite and professional. There was a technician and a sales person. Of course they tried to sell me on some additional recommended cleaning, UV Filtration and a service plan, but that is to be expected when they offer a $ 39 special to get in the door. The salesman, Don, was polite and helpful without being pushy and understood that I just wanted a duct cleaning and wasn’t going to be signing up for a 5-​year service plan. They were in and out for $ 42 — a more than fair price for a basic service. I’d use their services again when needed.

SCAM… shame on me for not doing my research. You can’t clean duct lines by only hooking up to 1 vent and not the main intake. All the guy did was vacuum the registers. No brushes, no opening the registers, NOTHING. Very pushy on up selling you on everything. Better off hiring a HVAC company to clean your ducts and furance. Cost me $ 149 calling a national, very well known, HVAC company. They cleaned my blower, intake and ducts. Family fresh air wanted to charge me $ 750 for this service.
This company also claimed they cleaned my dryer line. Next day went out and looked into dryer line and it was never cleaned. Very dishonest company and scammers. I wouldnt use this company ever again. Not only will I not use them I will make sure the world knows not to use them.

The guys were very present but pushy with sales antics. I got this app just so I could hopefully save others the hassle I dealt with! Long story short I called about a $ 49 air duct cleaning and of course my furnace was so bad if went from $ 49 to $ 544. A giant rip off and they don’t do what they say. My furnace was gross, yes. This is a new home to us and I wanted to make sure it was in good working order before the winter for my family. They are a rip off and the coupon clipper they have is a ploy to get you to spend tons of money on half rear services. Hopefully this review will save someone else some money. I will never have them out again. Also note they «tested» the furnace before they left, my husband worked until almost midnight getting it to actually «work». Turns out they disconnected it then connected it back up wrong. Annoying.

I purchased a Groupon and got Upsold from $ 39 to $ 399!
Honestly, it’s not even the upsell that I’m upset about. It’s that I still have construction debris and chunks of hardwood flooring in my vents. Then, I tried to run a load of laundry and my laundry room filled with dryer steam because the technician didn’t reconnect my dryer vent. Nor did he even clean the vent. We had to vacuum out the lint from it. He left scuff marks on my brand new oak flooring, his face mask on my kitchen table where we eat dinner and apparently there’s a drill left here somewhere in my house.
I tried to call twice and apparently the owner is «On the other line».

I wish I had read all these reviews prior to purchasing their «deal» on Amazon local.
Scam, Scam, Scam. Worst experience ever. my time is worth $ 150 /​hour, and so to have to take time off work to get scammed in «up charges» is infuriating.
BBB and Amazon Local will be getting letters to request a full refund. Your techs don’t get paid more than me, sorry — but to bring in a machine and do no other work, for a voucher of $ 204 in services is robbery.

Yeah, so what a disappointment. Hooked up the negative air thing, the service guys stood outside talking until it shut off. The main guy came in, had me sign a receipt. The assistant shop vacuumed the vent that was attached to the negative air cleaner, and that was it. The assistant cleaned the dryer duct. So underwhelmed.
Yes, this was a Groupon. No, we won’t call them again.

I just had our air ducts cleaned today and the experience was excellent! Mike E. did a fantastic job and was very timely and professional. I didn’t read any reviews before I had the work done and I’m glad I didn’t. Mike did his assessment and suggested what we should do to get our system clean.
Anyone with a brain knows that companies will up-​sell. So, all of these negative reviews about employees trying to sell more (even if the problems are exaggerated) are ridiculous. What do you think they do at McDonald’s when you order a burger but no drink?! They ask if you want a drink and fries or a milkshake! These guys are doing their job and from my experience, they are doing it well.
I went with the $ 45 air duct cleaning special because of the ad in that ancient thing called the newspaper. When I called their office it was a pleasant conversation and I got the appointment set up for a week out. I received the confirmation call a few days before and a few hours before the actual appointment. The time window they gave me was 10 – 1. Mike called about 40 minutes before the appointment and showed up at about 11:00. Also, the service lasted about 90 min.
Now, I know that most of the other reviews complained about $ 45 air duct cleaning being a scam. It may be a bit misleading, but seriously, look at the price and do the math. They hook up their equipment to one vent and vacuum out the system. I live in a condo and it worked. After the cleaning service, there was a significant difference in air output from all of our vents. If you want a thorough cleaning, then you will have to pay more! It’s that simple.
Again, Mike E. did a fantastic job and I would recommend their services.

These guys offer coupons for $ 49 or $ 59 duct cleaning. Then they arrive and say that a really thorough cleaning with a brush (not just vacuum is more, they suggest a $ 75 furnace filter, sanitization of ducts ($ 40), blower cleaning on furnace $ 150, etc.
Staff were very nice, tidy, efficient. Just expect your deal to go up closer to $ 500 if you accept a portion of these add ons, more if all of them. I suspect they all up sell, but the others I called bid it at around $ 500 from the get go.

Got in on a special offer. As soon as they showed up the VERY pushy salesman immediately tried getting us to upgrade, after being told several times we could not afford more this visit he became downright rude. They also kept leaving the front door open going in and out so my dogs got out and my roommate had to chase them down the street. After they left I checked the ducts and they are still filthy. Waste of money, we will be getting another company to finish the job.

Beware, and consider yourself warned. This is a SCAM, and they try and do nothing but high pressure upselling of more services. First off– they use what is known as negative flow induction. Which is a fan that supposedly «pulls or vacuums» your vents. The problem is it isn’t any stronger than your furnace fan so there isn’t any difference. If you have longer vent runs, this does absolutely nothing.
Second, the constant constant pushy salesman pitches drove me crazy. I literally told him 10 times I don’t need that at this time.
Third, I was told the service lasted about an hour. They were in and out in 25 minutes including setup. VERY VERY worthless and a waste of money.
