Being in the trades for over 30 years, and having hired a lot of workman for different home projects, we can’t give Hector and all his staff enough stars. The quality, realiabilty, and professionalism don’t match the reasonable price. Hector and or Christian were always responsive to calls. Hector was so patient and helping us to pick the right counter top and back splash for our kitchen. He not only suggested places for us to visit, but came by with samples. He even went beyond his duties to help us find a qualified plumber and electrician to install our new sink and stove. His honesty and excellent craftsmanship guarantees a first class job.

We just had a great experience with Bay Works as they tiled our bathroom shower and floor. The estimating portion was easy as I described the project to Hector and then sent some pictures of the area and tile to install. His written bid came back as reasonable and another site (sorry Unilocal) had a lot of good ratings so we decided to hire them. One of the installers, Danny, came on a Thursday and finished on that Sunday (yes, he worked on the weekend to finish the job right). He even provided some advice as to how to solve some tricky areas. He kept the area clean and cleaned up after each day’s work.

Hector and his crew did a beautiful job installing tile in a commercial office building (women’s restroom) for a building I manage. They were thorough, reliable and the price was competitive. I received several bids for the work and from the start was most impressed with Hector. I’d use him again for commercial or residential work, including work in my home.

I received very poor customer service from Hector and Hugo, with a complete lack of follow through and communication. First, when I requested an initial consultation on a weekend, Hector said he would check his schedule and get back to me. He never got back to me. Two weeks later, I requested another appointment (this time on a Wednesday), which he confirmed. The morning of the appointment he called to tell me Hugo would be there instead. Hugo showed up, did his measurements, and promised me a bid in one to two days. Radio silence for a week. I called Hugo about the status of the bid, and he was «shocked» that I hadn’t received one, and promised that I would receive one «right away.» Another week passes, and still no bid. I called Hector this time, and he said that I would receive a bid the next day (more than two weeks had passed at this point). I never received a bid. I am quite disappointed, considering that three times they promised a timely bid, and they went 0 for 3. Complete lack of professionalism and terrible customer service.

I was really impressed with the work Hector and his team did on my kitchen remodel. The patience, workmanship, responsiveness for this particular job surpassed my expectations. I would recommend this company for any future work any of my friends might have in the coming months. Thank you for a great job!

Hector and his crew did a $ 30,000 tile job on a remodel I did. The work was OK however in the end I was overcharged by $ 500. When I caught the mistake I called Hector and he said no problem, the check is in the mail. He stopped answering my phone calls. I am a developer who does projects all over San Francisco. This was a first as I usually use the same sub-​contractors on each project. Unfortunately I won’t be using Bayworks again.
