Clearly Amazing

I had Forest come to our house to clean our windows and he did a fabulous job! He cleaned indoor, outdoors and storm windows. He was very clean and respectful of our home. I would highly recommend him for anyone looking to have their windows cleaned.

It is so disappointing that I have to write this review, but it is something that needs to happen. I have been using Clearly Amazing for my Christmas lights and gutter cleaning for several years. I have always been extremely happy until last year. The same guy would always show up to put up my lights and this past year someone new showed up. The lights looked good as always, but come take down time he had them thrown on my front porch in a pile, which I had not experienced with the previous installer/​remover.
I reached back out to Clearly Amazing this spring to address some moss issues we were having on our roof. They set an appointment, came out and sprinkled some zinc (I’m guessing) on the roof and that was it. Once the moss died and it looked like hell on the roof, I contacted Clearly Amazing again to come out and address (in my opinion… finish the job). I also asked for a quote to power wash one side of my gutters as I’m not tall enough even with the tallest ladder to do it myself. My appointment came and went with zero contact. I followed up and set a second appointment. The day before I received a reminder call, but no one ever showed up. I sent an email to the company expressing my concerns and I received a phone call apologizing, etc. I set up another appointment for them to come out and fix the moss issue and «surprise» no one showed up even after the reminder call. I sent yet another email asking what was going on and I have heard nothing back.
When Clearly Amazing was a small outfit in West Linn, I worked with Jennifer every year on scheduling, etc. I’m not sure if she is still with the company since they had been bought out, but I really miss the customer service she provided.
Unfortunately, it is back to the drawing board for roof cleaning and Christmas lights as I refuse to use them again this year for any type of work.

We have again used the window service from Clearly Amazing. Nick O. was professional, tidy in his work, thorough, and timely. Both my husband and I were very pleased with the courtesy he extended as he went through our home doing a superb job!

There was a problem on the job and Clearly Amazing completely stonewalled me. After they cleaned the roof, there were 4 or 5 shingles missing. I can’t be sure they knocked them off, but they would not even talk to me about it. The subcontractor said they would return and assess the roof, but didn’t. The sales people said (over and over again) that the owner would call me right back. There were a couple of red flags, that others have noted. The website lists the only former owners, (who were excellent) but are no longer involved. The workers are subcontractors, not employees. The subcontractors showed up and did otherwise OK work, but you are really taking a chance if you hire this company.

I, too, have used them in the past. They have a new owner, according to the gutter cleaning guy, and scheduling is a problem. I had an appt. for July 9 to have windows and gutters cleaned. The gutter guy showed up and told me that the window cleaning was not scheduled. He and I both called the company, and was told I would be rescheduled. I have not heard from them since, even after sending emails. They also have trouble giving the right quote for the price. The verbal quote from the gutter guy didn’t match the email quote. I’m giving my business to someone else.

NOT so Amazing! I hired Clearly Amazing for Friday, June 26 to clean windows inside & out for my empty rental home in W Linn. They called that morning to let me know they were running behind. Per my instructions, they were to enter through the back yard to an unlocked door. Upon arrival, they were confronted by a concerned neighbor. Apparently the worker felt threatened by the neighbor and decided to leave without doing the job. Why I wasn’t notified at the moment of confrontation, by the worker, I do not understand… they were authorized to be be there to do the job and I simply could have spoken to the neighbor directly. It was only after they left did I receive a phone call later in the day letting me know what had transpired… my windows were never cleaned that day. I explained to Ken at Clearly Amazing that my new renters were moving in on July 1… I had arranged for my windows to be done on the 26^th, followed by a deep clean on the 27^th, and finally carpets cleaned on Tuesday, June 30^th at 11am. Ken proceeded to reschedule my window cleaning to start early morning on the 30^th in order to get the inside windows cleaned prior to the carpets being started. I arrived at my home at 11:30 AM on the 30^th to find my carpets being cleaned as scheduled but not a single window had been touched. I immediately called Clearly Amazing. After a long conversation with the general manager (name?) I was promised a call back after he had a chance to speak to Ken to find out why, once again, my windows weren’t cleaned. I was also promised by the GM, «This will be made right and you will be taken care of». It has been 4 days and NO phone call, NO «making it right», and NO clean windows for my new renters who are now moved in. Thoroughly UNAMAZED by Clearly Amazing and their complete and utter lack of customer service.

Have used this company 2 previous years with positive results. I have a difficult house to clean so I am very picky whom I choose to hire. First 2 years were very good but this year I DID get my windows clean enough at first glance but as the sun moved around the house, I could see tons of water drips and spotting. The worst part was that they dripped their solution onto my 300 yr old Japanese Chest and no word was spoken about it. Had to find it myself. Spots are still not out!
No screens were cleaned either. And of course, total strangers did the work though I asked for a specific person/​crew to come. Won’t be using them again. Got too big too fast. I’ll look elsewhere.

Had windows cleaned inside and out including screens. I didn’t need to move anything and the cleaner put everything back and didn’t leave any kind of a mess. My windows sparkle.
They lost a star for changing the appointment twice because the cleaner was overbooked. The first change was because the «scheduler didn’t know what they were doing» and there were more windows than the work order indicated. Next reschedule was because he was behind and he would come, but since it would be fairly dark when he finished he might not get everything. Anyway, my windows were cleaned 5 days after my original appointment and not at a time I had chosen for my convenience.
Looks like there may be some customer service that needs attending.

Caveat Emptor
Scheduled for residential home window and sky light cleaning on a Tues June 9 during my vacation with «Your cleaner will arrive between 8 AM and 9 AM on June 9^th, to work their magic.» (direct from confirmatory email received April 8, 2015).
Called at 10am to ask where the cleaner was, and while on speaker phone, (very rude for a business to project that they are too busy to talk to a lowly paying customer) told I was confirmed the following Tues June 16. Oh, boy…
Used them once in the past but no more. I guess it is off to local home improvement big box store to get window cleaning toys… always put a positive spin when you can.

Hired Cearly Amazing for gutter cleaning and foam installation because our home in Tualatin had a clogged downspout. They promised and charged us for gutter including downspout cleaning plus foam installation but they did not clean the downspout. Unfortunately I had to be at work so I did not supervise their work that day. A week later when it rained our gutter and downspout had an overflow just like before it was cleaned. Called and left messages requesting them to come back and check but never receive any return call. Hired another contractor to come check and the guy flushed out a bunch of old leaves that clogged the downspout. Obviously Clearly Amazing did not do what they promised and paid to do. Very disappointed.

Did not show up for appointment. They called and said they’d be late but never showed up and haven’t called since, even after I called and sent an email. Bad service for a small town company

I had an appointment to have window inside and outside cleaning and gutter cleaning at 1pm on Saturday May 16^th. I was told the cleaner would show up between 12 and 1pm. I would be charged $ 25 lock-​up fee if I am not home then. I have been waiting at home since the morning, nobody showed up at 1pm. I tried to call the office but only got the message saying I mis-​dialed the number. Finally I got through on 3^rd try, I was told the cleaner was on the way. 10 minutes later, the cleaner called and said he would be 2 hours late. I tried to call the office again but could not get through like last time. After a few tries, I gave up. The Clearly Amazing did call me 10 minutes later but I was done with this company and would never use or recommend their service. This is the 2^nd bad experience with the company.
Clearly Amazing did gutter cleaning for me once but it was clogged up after a few rains within a couple of months. I was not at home when they performed the gutter cleaning. I could not tell what they did but I received the invoice for the payment. I had to get somebody else (not Clearly Amazing) come home and watched them cleaned the gutter to unclog it. When Ken from Clearly Amazing called me to offer window and gutter cleaning service this spring, I did not want to try. But he asked me to give them a 2^nd chance and promised window cleaning would be a great experience. So I did. Extremely disappointed!!!

I’ve used Clearly Amazing since 2003 when Ken and Jennifer were owners. They were amazing!!! The guys do an excellent job. They have hung my Xmas lights and cleaned windows. The owner Jennifer did all the phone calling and scheduling. This past year (2014) I received an odd call from a voice I didn’t recognize to schedule my Xmas lights. After doing a little research I learned there was a new owner. But I also learned that the new owner had kept all the old staff and was keeping prices flat. So I proceeded to call back to schedule my annual appointment. It took several phone calls. Each time someone took my number and was going to have someone call me back. I was shocked that it was so challenging to just get someone to rerun a phone call and schedule a date?!? The appointment day came and I had my lights on my front porch ready to go. However no one showed and no phone call to inform me of the status either. I then called to check and learned their previous job had run over and they would come the next day. The next day came and went and once again there were significant communication challenges whereby they wanted to push my job so they could meet their other appointments. Essentially I was pushed out because one of their jobs ran over and they wanted to skip me to do everyone else then come back to me after they were caught up and back on track. Why should I pay the price for their delays? Wouldn’t you think they would move down their list in sequential order? They eventually agreed to try and get my lights done by juggling some start times, etc to get caught up. However I wasn’t able to be home from work with all the schedule shifts so my Xmas lights got hung but my chandelier they were supposed to clean didn’t get done. Bottom line they need to get their ability to return phone calls and customer service approach fixed. So sad to see a great business change hands then to go down the drain in the transition as a result of their inability to manage customer communications. Let’s hope they can get things back on track.

Love Clearly Amazing!

The guy who ended up cleaning my windows did a great job… overall, though, I won’t hire these guys back. Here’s why:
I am guessing I’ve done business with them before, as they called me a couple of months ago to schedule window cleaning… as we knew that we were having family in for Christmas and also we knew that someone would be home on Friday, December 5, we made our appointment for that day and put it in the family calendar.
On Thursday, December 4^th, I get a call on my phone at work basically saying, «This is ***** at Clearly Amazing. We’re calling to confirm that we’ll be at your house tomorrow to hang up your Christmas lights…» To which, I respond, «No, you’re not…» To which he sat there in stunned silence… to which I responded, «Are you sure you don’t mean window cleaning? We expect someone to come for that tomorrow.» to which he responded, «Oh yea. That’s right. I was looking at the wrong work order. We’ll see you tomorrow for your window cleaning.»
Not a great start.
Anyway, as I’m leaving work that day, I noticed a missed call and a voicemail. When I checked the message, it was Clearly Amazing again, TELLING me (not asking me) that they’re changing my appointment to Tuesday… which incidentally is NOT a day we have someone at home.
So, I call the number back… and attempt to explain to the (clueless) person who answered the phone what was going on. She puts me on hold for about 90 seconds, and then blind transfers me to «Christopher’s» voicemail.
So, I hang up and call back… I got a second (clueless) person to whom I explained the situation and also explained that the last person blind transferred me to a voicemail box and I’d like to talk to a real person. To which I get the reply, «Well, I will connect you with Allen, our scheduler.» As the name Allen seemed somewhat familiar, I happily agreed… and this person AGAIN blind transferred me to «Christopher’s» voicemail.
So, I hang up and call back a THIRD time. I explain to the third (only semi-​clueless this time) person (how many folks answer the phone around there?) what was going on, and that I was told I would be talking to Allen the scheduler and I keep on getting blind transferred to Christopher. I also asked him what happened to my Friday appointment that I made months ago, and was told that they didn’t manage their workload properly on Thursday and didn’t get all the jobs done and had to go back in the morning (I feel sorry for the poor folks who had to arrange their schedules around window cleaning 2 days in a row!). He then transferred me to a real person, and despite not wanting Tuesday, I had to take that appointment. The person also mentioned something about the fact that the owner/​office was in California. I didn’t quite understand that, but I suspect that this is not even a local company, and I prefer to support local.
Upon retrospect, I should have terminated the agreement right then and there, but I wasn’t confident that I would be able to find someone to get the windows done on short notice with family coming in. So, I arranged to work from home on Tuesday (NOT my preference) and like I said, they did a good job.
The overall hassle with the office isn’t worth it though. To me, failure to manage your workload is a result of overbooking and taking on more work than you can handle. I’d rather work with someone smaller who honors the commitments they make months in advance.

I was very pleased with the work Ben did when he washed the windows on my two story house. He cleaned the screens, washed the window frames and windows inside and out. I asked him to be careful with the screen hooks because previous washers (a different service) had broken off the (flimsy) plastic tabs that hold in the screens– he understood what I was talking about and took care that they were not broken off. The windows looked spectacular when he was finished, screens all clean, frames cleaned and I was ready for fall. I would use this service again for clean windows.

Our driveway, sidewalk, and front door walk are sparkling clean. The service was quick, professional, and effective. Thank you!

Exceptional job, very professional and friendly, and reasonably priced. We have all wood paned windows and French doors (the most difficult to clean), and Shaun and Sergio made them all look new. Easy referral!
