History

Established in 1985.

Business owner Marlene Cornachio started a maid service under the trade name «Apronstrings» in 1983, before most residential service companies were even considered viable businesses. With years of business management and customer service experience, Marlene quickly grew her business and began to branch out into commercial cleaning as well. Later, she renamed her company Custom Cleaning and Maintenance to better define what the company’s predominant role was in the marketplace.

Growing from a small startup company to a full-​service commercial cleaning company and residential maid service, Custom Cleaning and Maintenance has maintained consistant dedication to professionalism and quality!

Marlene Cornachio, president and CEO, directs the overall operations Custom Cleaning and Maintenance here in Northeastern Ohio. With over 35 years of business management, customer service, sales, and employment placement experience, she is responsible for the growth and oversight of the business she originally founded back in 1983.

Her guiding fundamental principals are to build a profitable residential homecare service company while treating every one of her employees and customers with professionalism, mutual respect, and dignity each day. In addition to being an entrepreneur, she is dedicated to giving back and improving the quality of life in the local community!
